^ probably worth doing just cause theyre flashy haha.
Although even being able to do weighted pullups I have unfortunately never been able to do muscle up. I think its a technique thing maybe.

Yes, I have a Ukrainian friend who's 5'7 or so and built like a gymnast. I've seen him knock out 4 quick sets of 5 muscle ups, and it seemed like he could have done more. I'm much taller and can't quite get in one and he says that it's exactly that, technique. Probably easier for shorter guys too.

I've been a fan of pullups for a long time so I tried weighted pullups for the first time after reading this thread.
Tried with 10kg and could only manage 2 and half.
Dropped to 5kg and could do 4, 3 and 3.
This feels like an exercise that's going to change my body. (Bodyweight ~81kg)

A lot of American apartments are made of pretty cheap dry wall; I would not be confident in doing pull-ups/chin-ups upon such structures.
Weighted chin/pull-ups are awesome in the gym, though. I also recommend buying a belt and hooking weights to there as you get better at them. Bitches really mire when you can rep weighted chin/pull-ups at +45 lbs added weight!
I've caught more bisches mirin doing weighted chin/pull-ups than any other exercises. Probably because sluts know how difficult unweighted pull/chin-ups are, much less weighted ones at 1/3 to 1/2 of their body weight.

I couldn't find a dips/pullups belt for adding weight so I went to the hardware store and got:
1. One meter rubber strap with a drilled hole on each end = $3 USD
2. One meter of chain = $3 USD
3. Three carabiners = $ 4USD
Around ten bucks total. Works like a charm, at least for the load I'm using at this point. There are several YouTube videos for making your own belt but none quite fit my needs.
Today I did 2 sets of 6 deadhang pullups today with bodyweight + 20%. I can do 15 or 16 strict pullups (just bodyweight). I'd like to get to a set of 20, the high score for the Marines physical fitness test. Looking forward to getting stronger.

Lat pulldowns are ok for putting in volume, but theres no substitute for pull-ups. It should be a staple of anyones program.
Like you, I vary the grips I use. Usually I'll do the same grip for a few weeks then change, but sometimes I'll vary it from set to set.

Can't you achieve the same results just slowing down your pull-ups instead of adding weight?

1 & a 1/3 pullups are also great for building size. Go up all the way, come down 1/3rd of the way, pause, go back up, then all the way down. That is 1 rep. Sets of 8-12 of these widegrip will broaden your shoulders in no time.

There is no good place to put a doorframe pull-up bar in the house I'm currently renting. I was all set to get the "Elite XL Freestanding Pullup Bar" (
https://trapezerigging.com/products/elit...pullup-bar) but I read an Amazon review where a guy who's 6'0 says his feet are about 0.25" off the floor at a dead hang with it. I'm 6'2 with long monkey arms and would REALLY like a bar where I can keep my legs straight at a dead hang if I'm going to pay a few hundred bucks. Does such a thing exist? Anyone know? Seems like there should be something (I mean I'm tall, but not freakishly tall) but I haven't found anything online so far.
