How Original Another Medellin Datasheet

Preparing for the trip:
This will be my second time in Colombia and I was focused on getting things down right from the very start. Instead of going on the three month summer trip I decided to instead work more and go on a 7 week trip filled with the care free lifestyle. A bit about me I’m 5’6, 22 year old, blue eyes, fit, and work as a bartender in Montreal. My game level is right at the end stage of beginner.

Budget: $5000 CAD not including plane ticket 750 USD, Apartment 1100 USD and Hotel 460 USD

Apartment: Booked on Airbnb for first time and reserved my whole stay on Calle 10A on Avenida El Poblado (Cra. 43). This apartment was a bit more than basic but it was located on the main street less than two minutes from Parque Lleras. In the beginning I was happy since I got my first SNL because of the location but towards the end of the trip I regretted booking the whole trip at this place since Parque Lleras is terrible.
What I recommend instead: Book a place in “Castropol” which is a 5-7 minute taxi away from Parque Lleras. It’s quiet, same price as Parque Lleras yet 10x nicer and has a wow factor. Also it is located near Cra. 43 which is the main street to travel across the city, so anywhere you want to go is a short taxi cab away. If you’re on a smaller budget stay in “Buenos Aires” it’s safe and A LOT cheaper. It is located right above of Centro and has lots of young chimbitas running around.

Clothes: This has been said countless of times on the forum but I will say it once more so it can really sink in if you plan on going to Medellin. If you want the fly girls, skip cover charges, have managers come introduce themselves and shake hands then SUIT UP. Yes you will be greatly overdressed but who cares it will pay off tenfold. Leaving Montreal at end of Summer I was lucky to pick up a linen suit, two summer blazers and tacky ass Paul Frank silk shirts at Holt Renfrew at 40-60% off regular price. Not once but multiple times in the trip it paid off BIG time being suited up (more of that later down). Don’t dress like the other lame gringos who have zero game or worse the rat-tail Colombians with their fake Gucci shirts that has the c’s printed backwards…
Spanish and Culture: My Spanish game is tight. I can crack jokes, speak on the fly, and have deep conversations. Countless times on the trip I was told my Spanish was amazing and this helped add to my credibility in “living” in Colombia. Practice your Spanish and you will reap the rewards. If only my game level was as good as my Spanish I would have been unstoppable.

Months Prior to my trip I watched the two novella series called “la diosa coronada” and “las muñecas de la mafia”. I tried watching others but they were so bad I couldn’t finish them. These two on the other hand in my opinion show how the above average Colombian girl thinks. Also since these are Colombian soap operas they use slang and terms that can be used in everyday situations that get you brownie points when you use them. Good way to practice and learn Colombian culture IMO.

Objectives: Going to Medellin I knew I wanted to upgrade my dance skills, learn if buying property was worth it and if yes what locations and of course practice my game skills.

First day on the ground I went looking for a dance school. I found a school on Medellinliving.com (do yourself a favor and forget this website) but when eating at a restaurant before going to sign up the waiter told me too instead call his cousin who does private lessons at her house. Took his advice and each lesson hour came to 25 000 pesos. I danced Monday to Friday 2 hours a day learning, salsa, meringue and bachata. She even taught me some slick reggaeton moves that came in handy big time in the clubs. She also gave advice on where to go, even went out with her and her friends on two occasions. Worth every penny.

Day Locations: Malls, Malls, Malls…also street, parks, museums, metro, bus, but me being a gringo I like the air conditioning and the stress free environment that malls provide. They are not lame like back home with fatties running around for specials over here so it was a welcomed change.
El Tesoro: Cra. 25 up all the way on top of the mountain. Take taxi. By far the mall with the highest talent and also the highest prices.
Tip on opening: Go to Santa Fe Mall first. Stand outside until a beauty comes along and ask where this mall is and then say you’re going to walk there and wait for her response. Let the comedy begin…

Santa Fe: High prices, but usually very busy. When I went they had this huge maze in the middle of the mall where families would go. Also they have the best Crepes and Waffles restaurant in this place. Go in and sit on the terrace and you get a really nice view of the city. Forgot to bring my white pocket square back home so I went to the Hugo Boss store while in my Hugo Boss suit which made it easy to start making jokes with the sales people. Paid around 40 USD for a silk one. Tried gaming the sales girl but ended up getting the salesman number (I know, I know) who invited me to kukaramakara a club located in Rio Sur which ended up having a blast and met a few girls.

Oviedo: Not a bad mall the food court though is jammed packed in the evenings which make it a good game location. Also there is a store called “La Musica” which sells tickets to events around Medellin. These events are awesome and have zero tourists. I ended up buying tickets to 3 events and had three solid nights. HIGHLY RECOMMEND buying tickets to events across city.

La Strada & Rio Sur: These are the places I went out too most nights. Higher end restos, bars and clubs. If you’re not on a budget you will be eating and partying in these areas if you are in El Poblado.

Premium Plaza: This is a lower end mall but the girls are easier to approach here. Ended up signing up to the Bodytech here for 60 USD for one month as it was right beside where I got my dance lessons.

Other Malls: Los Molinos, Camino Real, AlmaCentro, Monterrey. Lower end malls basically the same as premium plaze with Monterrey being more for tech stuff like unlocking iphones.

Night Locations: First things first. The quality in clubs and bars are subpar compared to other parts of the world. Speakers, Décor, Service, and DJ skills are not the highest but it is the PEOPLE that make these places wild and fun. I know Colombia gets a bad reputation for being group oriented but fuck it buy a bottle at the bar start dancing next to a group and soon enough you will be invited. This is when dressing on point, and spending some green comes in handy.

I will probably get flack from some of you guys but working in the nightlife in Montreal for over 5 years and being a bartender I know how far a good tip can go. Colombians don’t tip much and the tourists tend to follow the Colombian standard and tip the minimum so THEY get the minimum in return. The service is terrible in Medellin but if you over tip most of the time it pays off big time.
Note: Some of these places I struck out and had lousy nights but that was because of me so you might have better luck.
Club Babylon: This place sucks up front. Lots of gringos, terrible service, and not the best girls. If you go only go on Thursdays as it is ladies night so all the poor girls come and drink for free. That being said I made this club my domain. First night out in Medellin I’m feeling good maybe too good, after reading the datasheets and seeing that the club is literally down the street from where I am staying I decide to hit up this place. Its 32k to get in and that comes with all you can drink at the bar. If you’re two you can get a bottle of aguadiente or rum from the waitress for free (well included). I walk in feeling WAY over dressed and sit down next to the entrance where I order a drink from a huge titted waitress. She brings the drink I ask how much and she says it’s included but I can tip her if I like. I ask for some champagne as a joke but she doesn’t get it and she says that’s not included. I ask how much she says 180 000 pesos. I order it and she doesn’t believe me so I give her the money and she laughs. Note: This place is not the place to order champagne as it is a total bordello. Champagne comes I pay and slip a 50k in her hand. She says thank you at least 10x and says she going to bring me a bottle of Aguadiente and rum as well. ALL EYES were on me(one guy 3 bottles) when the champagne came and was able to join a group of girls beside me. Long story short I got my first SNL of my life on my first night out in Medellin.
2nd time I went the same waitress asked as joke if I wanted another bottle of champagne. I say yes tip her the same and BAM she says she has some friends if I want to meet them. They move my bottle to the VIP area (just a few table above the main dance floor, nothing special) but there are 5 girls that are fine as wine and thin as wind with no guys in sight. I end up dancing and partying the night away and fucked up because I couldn’t decide who to go for (rookie mistake) and ended up drinking too much. Ended up with a fake blonde’s number but couldn’t seal the deal after two dates.

Wrap up: This place is a total mess but you can pick up easy here.

Tutaina Tuturuma: (Barrio Colombia) typical Colombian place with great music. Don’t go solo here.

Amarna: (Barrio Colombia) didn’t get in first time because I needed to be with girls. Went second time with a group and it was an okay place but it was a Friday and it was maybe half packed maybe less. Egyptian décor.

La Ruana Juana: (Parque Lleras) near my place so it was okay. Never stayed longer than an hour here.

Disctoteca el Suave: (Calle 50 N 68-24) Super cool Salsa place where I went with my teacher. Only salsa here not really a pick up place but had many greats nights and danced with lots of girls.

Son Havana: AWESOME salsa place with super cheap drinks. If you have nothing to do on Wednesday night (which you won’t because everywhere is dead) go here as all the salsa schools come here and dance salsa with the teachers. If you want to see some great dancing and dance with lots of girls come here doesn’t matter if your solo which goes for most salsa bars as you just ask the girl to dance and its almost a 100% yes. Tipped the bartender around 15k and he then remembered my name from then on and filled my mojitos with so much rum that the ice vanished in under 30 seconds.

La Strada: Okay so this is more of mall that has higher end restaurants that are all over priced for the quality. I liked a place called DRY which was a martini lounge that worked well for dates. Also the casino downstairs is the only place that I found that has a Baccarat table which is the only game I play. I went to over 6 casinos (which all sucked) but this one seemed to be the best. You can Suit up at La Strada without strange looks only to be replaced by curious ones.

I recommend going to Rio Sur instead and only come to La Strada if you have a date as these places never fill up even on Saturday nights.

Rio Sur: Another mall that has cool clubs, bars and restaurants. One of Favorite spots too party.
I recommend going: La Bolsa at lunchtime since lots of hotties eat here with their girlfriends. They have a cool stock market concept that works pretty well on the busy nights.

Mixology Molecular Bar: Being a bartender I always wanted to visit a bar of this type. Way over priced but the drinks you’re getting have a crazy wow factor to them. Awesome place for a date if you want to get her panties wet. Also the DJ here is the best I heard in all of Medellin. After dinner I usually came here or a bar called El Grifo (5 min taxi away) to have some drinks.
For clubs go too kukaramakara have awesome talent but only go on Saturdays maybe Fridays. Sixxtina could be fun but I scored a big 0 here so I don’t have much too say. Also the restaurant on the bottom floor next to the public bathroom is really good food but I can’t remember the name which says enough of the place.

I recommend coming to this mall without plans on Saturday night and take a walk around the whole complex and see each location as one night one place can be good but the next night it can be dead. Bring some green as these places are pricey.

Il Cielo: Near Parque Lleras next to the restaurant Castello. My opinion on this place is going to be super biased since the night I went was a crazy model event. Let me back up. Next to my place there is a hamburger stand guy who I went to numerous times a week. More often than not there was always this guy on his motorcycle and leather jacket just chilling there counting stacks of cash and didn’t seem to care if people saw him. On this particular night it was a weekday night and I decided to stay in smoke a bat and eat a hotdog loaded with bacon called a Perro Ranchero. As I’m buying it this guy starts talking and asking if I want to party. I ask what’s the party and he says there is an event with all the sexiest girls in Medellin. I ask where it is and he says he will bring me with his motorcycle. I hop on without a helmet and he begins to zigzag speeding down the streets and stops off at this place. The place is jammed so much that they closed the street as people are on the street. I never saw so many 10’s all in one place. It was the first time I was short on breath and nervous to talk. I only got in because the leather jacket guy knew the bouncer. Went here a few days later and this place was dead. Ended up being friends with the guy and he said he will take me to a club this Saturday with mucho “Chimbitas”

Mangos: (Itagui) not the original place but still pretty cool to see the décor. Waitresses were hot and easy to talk too. Cool place to try once.

Fahrenheit: (Itagui) Okay so from the sketch leather jacket guy. We ended up going to this place. By this time my friend from Montreal came down to meet me and stay at my apartment which was the biggest mistake I ever made. My friend had zero dance game as he was used to Montreal Clubs (strike one), zero Spanish (strike two), Not on same budget as me(strike three), Super jacked with monster muscles but needs 50g of protein every hour or else he starts bad tripping (strike four). Anyways we get to the club which has a stage in the Middle where an MC pumps the crowd up. Zero tourists and only locals from Itagui are here. We order some bottles join a group of girls with two douche Colombian guys that had no game. Im speaking too the leather jacket guy who tells me at around 4 AM is where the place gets amazing (it closes at 6 am). So the time rolls by and then taxis start pouring in with loads of hot girls. Turns out this is the place where all the pros and semi pros come to when they don’t get clients to wherever they were and they end the night here either partying or grabbing a last minute local schmuck. Ended up ditching all the clubs in Medellin in my last two weeks and just came here and partied Friday and Saturdays. Made friends with the staff and the bouncer who helped me shore my first girl ever.

Charlee Hotel
I don’t like Parque Lleras so by default I give this place a pass. Went at night twice, didn’t like the vibe not my kind of place. Maybe for the older guys on here can do some damage but I prefer places with less tourists and p4p. Rather hit this place in the daytime as the gym is pretty dope and the girls are super sexy.

What I recommend. There is a Juan Valdez right outside the place and in the day time the girls who are finished working out come in their spandex get up and order water bottles and sit down drinking together. Good place to game. Also there is my favorite shoe polisher that hangs around there. Name is Diego be nice and he will charge you regular price (3000 pesos) and not gringo price (5-7k)

Calle 9 10-25
Doesn’t have name in front but that’s the address. Went to this electronic bar/club after getting loose at a club called Barlevento down the street. This place is dirt cheap Not sure what the entrance price for one is but we were 8 with 5 girls and 3 guys and paid 40 000 pesos for everyone and everyone got a XXX card that you can redeem for a beer. This place is super packed/super grimy where it has a anything goes atmosphere. People banging in the washroom, jays and cigs being smoked everywhere and a little spot next to DJ booth with people doing Keys. Good place to go after or before the night. Note: Closes at 3 A.M

La Isla (strip club/brothel)
Girls here are sexy as hell and put on quite a show but their sad faces and spiked alcohol they served kept me from coming back. Spoke to a pro later on my trip who gave me the lowdown of the p4p business in Medellin in great detail (ended up hanging out on a few rainy says as she was a stoner and avid reggae listener. One of the things she explained that the girls who work there get a bad deal from the owners. Anyways Its 15k to get in and a vodka soda is 24k but here is the kicker… Its spiked with grain alcohol. I took one sip then went to the bar to see what was the funny business about and the bartender laughed and poured me another drink from another bottle. Worth checking out if you’re in Medellin but I stick too my Amazons in Montreal thank you.

Calle 33
Came here a few times to give it a go walked up and down multiple times. All the bars are pretty much the same. Nothing really picks up except Tropical Cocktails in the beginning of the street. Lots of middle class locals.
What I recommend: Walk up the street and when you see a dead bar (there will be lots) that have 2-3 girls just talking, go inside and sit beside. If they bite get them to take cab too Tropical Cocktails which is one step closer to getting on the highway back to Poblado area if that is where your posted up.

Laureles in General: The salsa bars that I mentioned above are awesome but other than that this place I find gets over rated because people who don’t like Parque lleras come here and then think that this is the best other option to party and stay if they don’t like Poblado. If you venture outside of it get ready to pay big in taxi to go back. Do yourself a favor and get a place in Castropol so you’re in the middle of everything, look like a boss at same time and sleep until early afternoon without being disturbed because it is super quiet.

My two cents: Finding a restaurant, a bar, and a club that you like and are comfortable then get it on Lock ASAP. The venues are nothing special so you don’t have to visit every place as they are all pretty much the same. Being a white gringo they remember your face (if you’re not in Parque Lleras that is) and if you’re not an idiot you will make friends with the staff. Again with my tipping strategy if you have a higher skill than me, one might not have to do it but me with being a beginner it was easy to buy the staff with tips. Then they help you get you laid because they want you to come back and tip them more money haha. They introduce you to girls give free bottles at end of night and make small talk which makes all the girls look at you.

Again my Spanish is on point, I dress with thegmanifesto starter pack collection , and I dance better than the average Colombian.

Tourist Traps and Other:
Parque Arvi: Go on the cable cars which are pretty cool. Tip: wait around before the lines until a group of girls go in the cable car then go in with them. You have around 10-15 minutes to work your game since they can’t leave. The Parque itself is not that bad if you’re into hiking. They have good non alcohol wine and some good jam to buy. I jogged here on a sunny afternoon running along the mountain bike trail which made it quite the workout with awesome views. Ended up a bit too far out when a soldier popped out of nowhere and told me I had to turn around since it was dangerous past this point.

Parque Explora: I’ve seen better science centers, mostly kids and families though. Toke up and you will enjoy the park maybe even go to the Botanical garden across the street.

Zoo: Lions, Hippos, chickens running around. Good to do on a dead Weekday.

Parque de Los Pies Delcazdo: Get lucky and there could be some girls walking in the sand and then dipping their feet in the fountain.

Estadio Del Torros: Came here to see a concert here with one of the events from Ticket Express. It was called Los Bossters Del Reggaeton 2. It had Nengo Flow, Arcangel, J Alvarez, Daddy Yankee, Zion y Lennox and some others guys I didn’t know. Ended up buying a last minute ticket from a scalper because I ended up going with the girl I met the week before. I never had seen a crazier concert than this one. I was up in the cheap seats where everyone was drinking Aguadiente and smoking literally joint after joint. There was a guy in front of me who smoke over 8 joints to himself. The concert was over 4 hours long and towards the end everyone was just blasted and lying down or leaving. In the beginning though everyone is dancing, grinding and making out (including me) while singing the songs word for word (not including me). One of my favorite nights of the trip. Lots of hot girls in tight jeans.

Fashion district: (Itagui) Tell the cab driver you want to go to Zona de Moda en Itagui. Its basically street after street of factories selling leggings, knock off jeans, shoes and bikinis. I came here to see if my business idea would be possible but turned out it would be too risky. BUT then when I scrapped the idea I decided that this was a prime grounds for gaming locals. My pitch: Go to bikini stores and legging places and say you need to buy gifts for your “friends” back home. They ask if it’s for your girlfriend constantly but play it cool and you can get there number. I even got a girl to try on different bikini tops because I said my “friend” was the same size. Warning: Lots of guys hustling you on the street to come visit there shop. Don’t come here if your Spanish is wishy washy or get culture shock easy as it can get a bit overwhelming with the sales pressure.

Paragliding: I’m not into extreme sports but this thing was legit. On my last day in Medellin I booked a spot to go Paragliding. Used ParaWorld who I highly recommend as they pick you up and drop you off wherever you are in the city and the spot they have on the mountain is at the top point so you are the highest up. Got too meet a sexy Brazilian chick and a cool American guy too bad it was my last day or I would have met up too go out.
I recommend doing this first as you have chance to get lucky and make some friends.

Other:
Dry cleaning: Hand your clothes and hope for the best if you can wait it out until you get back home I would do that. Only tried the Carulla dry cleaning service but thought that it was safer bet since it’s a big chain and you can get your groceries at the same time.

Money Currency: Bancolombia lets you take out the most at 600 000 pesos. The atm on Calle 10 and 43 gives out only 20k which comes in handy. Next time though I’m going to just exchange my money in Chinatown in my hometown that gives best rate and just go with all my cash in one shot. In my whole trip I spent close too 80$ USD in fees and at times was low on cash since I couldn`t find a BanColombia atm. Think about this before coming as it adds up and is a pain.

Miami duty Free: Disregarded the alcohol and cigarette limit when entering Colombia (which is two Litres). I brought 2 bottles of scotch with 2 magnums of Goose from the Miami Duty Free on the plane with me, when I got stamped in Medellin all the agent said nothing and stamped me off.

Rainy Days: Don`t even bother going out. Period. If you have a date flake on them before they flake on you.
Sheraton: It was a Four Points so already I wasn`t expecting much but this place had below par service even for Colombia standards. Everywhere I go I stay with Starwood at the end of my trips too relax and have one last splurge but this place was a nightmare with terrible food and room service.

The Gay Banker: It was a weeknight and I decided to just go out and have a few drinks. Was at a bar in Parque Lleras that isn`t worth naming. This place was empty besides me, guy in corner and a group of work associates. Service is slow and my drink is empty. I try getting attention of waitress but she is on her phone. Same thing happens with the guy when he wants a drink we both give a knowing nod. He comes to sit down and compliments me on my blazer. Turns out he is gay but he is dropping serious data on business in Medellin as he holds a high position at a Colombian bank. We talk for hours and end up swapping numbers and make plans for drinks on weekend and he will bring some girlfriends as he was really happy to see better tourists coming into the city. I pegged this guy at early thirties when he was actually 52! Kept his promise and got too bang my first milf because of him.
Group Theory: Lots of people say that everyone goes out in groups and that it is a close knit which is definitely true. However be friendly, cool, speak Spanish, know how to dance and spend some green and you will have no problem joining groups. As I mentioned before when you can`t join make friends with the staff and they will give you a helping hand on helping you party.

Lines to use frequently: (I don`t write Spanish only speak so my spelling is how the words are pronounced haha)
Say Tranquillo (relax) at the beginning of sentences and Claro (obviously) at the end. Use common sense and say these words when appropriate.
When Don`t understand or need repeat: Como? (thats it)
When bargaining: mi dente no son de leche` (my teeth are not made out of milk)
When you want to promise: ``te lo huro`` and put your hand in your mouth pretend to bite and pull out.
When buying shady stuff off the street: Don`t be shy, smile and say ``Oye Hermano como va todo” and then ask what’s cooking.

I'm leaving some stuff out since Medellin has been covered to death. But if you have any questions I will try my best and answer.

Good report.

On your first trip to Colombia were you in Medellin, as well? If elsewhere, how did the other place compare to Medellin?

7 weeks, how many lays? What percentage were pros/semi-pros?

My first trip I was in Colombia for 3 months with most of it being in Bogota, one week in Medellin but I was with my Colombian novia and then about 2 weeks in Cartagena.

Just to clarify I never paid for sex, I just enjoy chatting them up and hanging out with them. They always have good stories and great data on hot spots and they are great to practice game.

7 weeks 4 lays with 2 being regulars on rotation that were fucking amazing in bed. Not the greatest stats but I'm very satisfied with the quality I got. Also my Canadian friend really cramped my style. I take the blame for bringing him over, lesson learned.

Can you compare The Quality in MDE to MTL...You seem to be the best qualified..

Definitely the most recent MDE data sheet and easily one of the best. Thanks donnie514.

In the 7 weeks you were there, did you stick to the $5000 CAD budget you set or not? I am wanting to do 12 weeks in Colombia from February, so your experience will probably be a good guide for what I can expect.

Montreal VS Medellin

I believe that money can make women look more sexy. Give a girl a $200 haircut, put her in the newest fashionable clothes, and slap on a pound of Chanel make up and you got yourself a head turner.

Montreal:
Pros
1. Montreal has all kinds of girls from different nationalities. You can find stunning Colombians, Persians, French, Italian you name it we have it. That being said lots of different variety where in Medellin you get mostly Paisa girls with the odd girl from a different part of Colombian.

2. With the epidemic of instagram, Montreal girls know how to maximize what they got too the fullest extent.

Cons:
1. Go to a university campus and most girls are in jogging and UGG boots, with their hair tied back
2. Can't Dance, they prefer too pose in clubs
3. Can't resist looking at phone for more than 3 minutes
4. A lot more fatties running around

Overall: Montreal has some real stunners. When I first came back I went to meet some friends at Cavalli's and I must say these girls were on point. Day after I was at the playboy mansion party at Wood 35 and the girls were just on fire. But this is a selective few. The Creme de la Creme of Montreal is better than that of Medellin IMO. However if you stand on a random street corner your head will turn more in Medellin.

Medellin:
Pros
1. Girls look their best on a all day basis
2. Girls are more fit
3. They can dance
4. Wear highheels on regular basis
5. They dress to appeal men
6. More feminine
7. Can hold a conversation without glancing at phones
8. The man is the boss

Cons:
1. Fashion is outdated. I like jean skirts as much as any other guy but come on...
2. Girls have limited Experiences
3. Don't trust them for one minute

Overall: My head turns more times on a regular basis in Medellin. But from comment above there is no mix races over here. You won't find a half Italian half French girl in Medellin.

Top Tier: Montreal
Personality: Tie (depends on preference)
Face: Montreal
Body: Medellin
Sexy Factor (not too be mixed with beauty): Medellin
Friendliness: Medellin

Overall: Medellin

Long story short Montreal has that variety but Medellin has that sexual vibe. Plus the girls are easier to approach.

If you round up 100 random girls from each city then the basket with the Medellin girls will be hotter.

ASOT: I came under budget by about 500 dollars. Although you have to remember I was spending money like I had one week too live and my friend who came down helped curb the cost of apartment, and going out too some degree.

Thanks. Looks like I won't have any issues with keeping a $10k budget for 3 months. One other thing I noticed is that you didn't mention any pipelining, from Bang and most the other data sheets, it seems like most guys will spam these dating sites and line up dozens of potential dates before arriving in Colombia. Was it a deliberate choice to not do this or are they not worth the time spent in your opinion?

That aside it sounds like I've gotta get my ass to Montreal, I've only been as a child, but have citizenship so it might be a move in my future depending on what I do here in Australia the next 12 months.

Awesome datasheet Donnie.
Did you experience any prejudice against gringos outside of el Poblado?
Any experience in clubs Envy, Karma or Luxury? Those places seem to be popular right now.

I'm heading to Medellin in a month for 16 days, and would like to make good use of my short time there.

Thanks,

Nice report. I think that when it comes down to cold approaches, Medellin wins on friendliness and openness of the women when compared to any other city I've been to. Just about every girl will give you her number, but getting them to meet up is the tricky part.

Great write up.
Donnie, when you say suited up, do you mean you wore shoes, pants, dress shirt, plus a blazer? so no jeans and definitely no sneakers? i couldnt find the gmanifesto's 'starter pack' post...

Sorry, I didn't mean to imply you paid for sex. I basically wanted to know how many notches were from shoring, since you said you were hanging out with some prostitutes and shored for the first time.

Apparently you're not the only person who thought I was talking about paying for sex, since I got a warning for this question... [Image: whip.gif]

I'm going to Colombia soon, but I prefer non-pros, as I stated in this thread I started. For the non-pros, you said they're easier to approach, but do you think they're harder to bang?

4 lays in 7 weeks sounds pretty decent from what I've read about the difficulty of some Colombian girls. Again, nice sheet.

I don't get your question, are you comparing shoring hookers to banging normal girls? There's a lot of sex tourism in Colombia and especially Medellin but its not in your face and I don't think that shoring is a big thing there, as it is in SE Asia.

If you don't like whores and you speak Spanish well, I can't see any reason why you'd have to ever go near the P4P scene while you're there. Considering the stats you mention in your posted link and the money that you will have in Medellin, I think you'll be fine there. I didn't have so much luck in Medellin in my two weeks there, I actually very randomly shored a girl there my first time in the city, I'm going to hit up Bogota and Cali, maybe the Zona Cafeteria when I fly there next week.

Climate wise, a blazer or jacket is overkill in Medellin. At least that's true for me, speaking as a high metabolism guy.

The temperature hardly drops at night. If you go out in a jacket, you'll be looking to take it off within 20 minutes or deal with feeling uncomfortably warm.

My bad. I was speaking about his comparisons between Medellin and Montreal. I'm expecting you guys to follow my scattered thoughts. [Image: confused.gif]

I'm basically asking if you made 100 approaches in each city, where would you get more bangs? It sounds like maybe you'd get more numbers in Medellin, but not necessarily more bangs.

Long story short Montreal has that variety but Medellin has that sexual vibe. Plus the girls are easier to approach.

Donnie - Where do you take your dates, especially if you don't want to spend a lot of $$ at DRY or Mixology Molecular? I'm living in Poblado, would love some good "reasonably affordable" date spot suggestions =)

Thanks!

I live in medellin and you can find some stunners online or walking the street, the vast majority meet their partner through friends. There is a tonne of info on this town. Like with any town, the more time you are there it gets better.

Jjjames go to any grocery store and pick up a bottle or two and go to a mirador with a taxi. On las palmas there are many. Bring your smartphone for background music if needed and enjoy the city views at night.

Donnie I see that you singed up for a membership at Body Tech and it was only $60 for a month, was that a special or the normal price? I looked into a membership at a Body tech in Bogota and they wanted something crazy like $150.

From what I noticed the price depends on the area your in. If you go too the Bodytech in Rio Sur it is more expensive than the one in Premium Plaza (the one I went too)

Luxury is not popular at all, that place sucks. Don't trust that site or the places on medellinliving (remember the names but not his review on things).

@newgame
No worries, but no there not harder to bang, it all comes down on the type of girl your going after. The hungrier she is the more likely a bang IMO. The number could have been a lot higher if it wasn't for my rookie mistakes.
And if you do 100 approaches then Medellin def comes out as winner compared to MTL.

@Tigre
I don't agree, a linen blazer or one of 100% cotton that are light colors work great. If you have the undershirt, with collared shirt then yeah its too much. Also if your walking more than 3 blocks at a time then yeah you will start to sweat, but if you go from taxi too spot, then you shouldn't have a problem.

@JJames
Too take dates that don't break the bank. Someplace near your crib would be ideal if not Crepes Y Waffles pretty good(go for dessert though paired with that hot wine they give). Also if your near Parque Lleras there are bars that do 3x1 Cocktails. Just go too a place with low music, and serves alcohol and you should be good from my experienced I over killed it every time (I just can't help it).

If you want to go really cheap buy a Colombian soda pop and keep the cap then go to Movies on Wednesday and turn it in when you pay (might be Tuesday) and you get 50% off. (haha don't do this). Usually there are guys standing outside who sell the caps for 500 pesos.

Tomtud says it right too.

@ASOT
Online Dating would have worked wonders if one has the time and persistence but yes it was a choice not to use them since I wanted to work on my game.

Remember that nightlife runs in trends and is constantly evolving.

Luxury was popular a year ago. Calle 33 was much better two years ago than it is now.

You gave an exact report of your experiences, which is really useful right now. But in two years the reality in Medellin will be different.

That doesn't mean that the guy who touches down in Medellin in 2015 and doesn't like your places has better insight than you had.

While we're talking about discotecas - lately I'm hearing Deja Vu on Las Palmas mentioned a lot. Might be worth checking out (I haven't been recently).

Fahrenheit sounds pretty awesome. Did you have trouble getting in there rolling solo or with just dudes? Were you hitting the place up early and waiting it out until the early morning rush, or rolling somewhere else beforehand? I'm with you on getting away from the Parque Lleras gringo crowd.

I'm leaving some stuff out since Medellin has been covered to death. But if you have any questions I will try my best and answer.

The place is pretty dead before 2 AM even 3 AM if the night in the city is slow in general. I wouldn't show up with a couple of dudes but rolling solo or with a wingman is cool. Pro Tip: Get a spot right in the entrance of the place and post up. When you walk in there is a pillar right in front of you. Grab that table beside that. 2nd spot. To leave the club there is a different exit, beside the little take-out resto, grab that spot. If that fails then go to the bar which is just a service bar and order a drink and tip good so the barmaids like you and won't mind you being there (10k-15k should be enough). Its next to the bathroom so its high traffic area as well.

Outside works wonder as well as people tend to mull around smoking cigs and eating empanada's. Also from what I noticed sometimes the bouncer doesn't let in all the semi-pros and pros so they tend to just hang outside talking and what not.

My memory is a bit fuzzy but down the street is Mangos and another club/bar that I can't remember the name but its literally right beside Mangos and usually has more people and all around better. Its worth checking out those places since your in the Area. Its a 3 minute taxi or a 20 minute drunk walk down the highway.

Also if your in area again on the same road (its a straight highway) on the left there is Palmahia (check for event online) and a few small bars which you can go before hand then roll to Fahrenheit after. this is again only a 2-3 minute taxi ride.

Or...

Party in whatever gringo spot or any other place in Medellin. Then when clubs close start asking chicks your going to Fahrenheit in a cab and make them hop in with you.
