McQueen's Hollywood Data Sheet

McQueen's Hollywood Data Sheet

I've promised an LA Data Sheet for far too long, so now I shall keep my promise and deliver an extensive Data Sheet. I cover the main clubs in Hollywood and the focus is on Night Game, my specialty.

I also threw in a hotel and a couple of restaurants that are personal favorites of mine and ones that stand out to me.

Clubs

It has it's haters and those who swear by it and I fall somewhere in the middle. The key to Hollywood is getting connected and staying connected. That's it. Connections will make or break you in this city and will increase your odds of getting laid, or send you home rejected at the door of the hottest club to eat Cheetohs and masturbate to Daisy Marie.

The clubs listed are in no particular order as 'hot' clubs come and go as quick as new 'actors' hop off and on a bus in and out of this city.

Drais (Club at the W Hotel off Hollywood and Argyle)

I promoted and hosted at this club all summer of this year and to say it was a pussy gold-mine is to put it lightly. It IS a touristy type spot and it's no longer 'hot', but still pumps out solid 7's and 8's every Friday and Saturday night. If you're looking for dimes, you're better off skipping this club though, although it's Asian girl population is great for those of you who like that type.

Guys expect to pay $20 cover unless you have a connect.

AV Club

AV is off Hollywood Blvd and Cahuenga and is one of the hottest clubs open right now. Door is SUPER stiff, so good luck getting in without buying a table or greasing a lot of cash. Think $50-100 a guy.
I've seen model girls trying to get in. It's small and they don't give a fuck, if they don't know you or you're not spending big bucks, head to Big Wangs across the street for $.50 wings and pitchers of beer.

The talent level once inside is pretty damn good, mostly tall white skinny blonde model types, so good luck.

Lure

Lure is off Sunset and Ivar and the Thursday nights are off-the chain. Come early and get on a promoter's list in order to get in. Generally if you come with some hotties and get there before 11pm you can get comped, but anytime after you'll more than likely be paying $20. A shit ton of LA young girls and plenty to go around. There is a buffet of girl types ranging from Persian girls to hot Latinas as well as white girls but not as many as AV.

Supper Club

Located off Hollywood Blvd, Supper Club USED to be the shit but has slowly lost it's luster. It's still a hot spot on Wed and Friday's aren't bad, however it's losing steam. I personally hate the setup of the club and I highly recommend NOT going unless you have a table. Logistically speaking it's not setup as a roaming type club. Security will consistently make you 'keep moving' and don't allow for standing in the walk-ways by the table. If you have mad dance floor game, then you might like it because the dance floor is pretty good size. Know a promoter and odds are you'll skip cover. Generally though it's the standard $20. The girl quality has dipped like a motherfucker, but if your standards aren't high then hit this spot up.

Avalon

Located off Hollywood Blvd and Vine and the longest open Afterhours club in LA, Avalon, USED to be a badass mega-club. Now, it's home to the crackheads and trannies of Hollywood. Unless it's a major Dj who will bring out the hot girls, I highly recommend skipping this joint. Cover will cost you anywhere from $30+ depending if you buy tickets in advance. HUGE Asian showing, but the big question is: Is it a girl or a ladyboy? Not worth it to me to find out.

Create

Located off Hollywood Blvd just past the W Hotel, Create is quickly becoming one of my favorite spots. If you like to smoke cigs, THIS is the spot for you. There is a HUGE outdoor bar/cabana/smoking area that is bigger than the average Hollywood club in and of itself.
Inside, Create boasts a huge dance floor, a VIP section and a second level. Come early and you can get in for $20. Tons of hot girls there of all types. They have been paying to bring in big name djs as of late as well, thus attracting the good crowds.

Eden

Myself and my team was hired to revive the night here over the summer for 1 month. Didn't work. Club has been around for years and unless your idea of a good time is getting frisked at the door and potentially getting stabbed, then avoid at all costs.

Greystone Manor

Located off of Sunset La Cienega and technically considered West Hollywood, Greystone is still going strong. If you're into Hip-Hop music, then swing by Greystone Sundays. Celebs, athletes, a lot of hotties and a pretty cool, chill crowd. Think Urban; not thug. Bring a couple of hot girls and you'll be fine, or expect to drop names and grease a host.

Las Palmas

Located off guess where? Sunset and Las Palmas ironically, Las Palmas is a ghetto war-zone. Go at your own risks.

TRU Hollywood

Located off of Argyle and Hollywood Blvd, 1 block from the W Hotel, I hosted at TRU for months and while it was fun, TRU is headed downhill and quick. As it goes in Hwood, when it opened it was hot and celeb central; now it's full of Hostel clog wearing kids on Friday and Saturdays are barely bearable. All kinds of girls here, but you'll be hard pressed to find above an 8 if you're lucky. Go before 11p for $10 cover or get on a promoter's list for free comp before 11p. Depends on the night. Wed night is Hip-Hop night and it usually doesn't pop until around midnight.

Emerson

Right off of Hollywood Blvd and La Brea, Emerson is hot. Hot girls, hot décor and hot prices. Don't go unless you have a connect, want to spend money and/or have a table. Dope spot.

Colony

Off Cahuenga right before you hit Hollywood Blvd, Colony USED to be fun, but now unless you're a hard-core hip-hop fan, I'd avoid. They are doing 2 rooms now, one for house music and one for hip-hop, which generally means you get a bunch of Top 40 average fucks. A cat got shot in the ASS of all places months ago on a Secret Sunday night and that cooled the place off. Would avoid.

Club DV8

Right off Hollywood and Highland this is an 18+ club for you cats who haven't hit the magic 21 number. Full of 18+ girls, it's a goldmine for you game newbs and you veterans who are into 18+ girls. $20 to get in but worth it.

Boulevard3

Off Sunset Blvd and cross Street Wilcox and once a mecca of drunken hookups, I once nailed a chick in the DJ booth, it's since dropped in 'hotness', but still a good time especially for club newbs. Word is, the Asian crowd has taken over, which makes it a goldmine for those of you who prefer those type of girls. With some bullshitting you should have no problem getting in comped just get there before 11pm.

Playhouse

Across the street from Supper Club, Playhouse is STILL going strong. One of it's perks is that it goes until 4am with alcohol still scooped up at 2am. Pro-Tip: Pour your alcohol into a empty water bottle (provided its vodka) and you're still getting fucked up. It used to have an absolute bevy of sluts but has turned a bit into a sausage fest. Go with a buddy to have your back and you'll be fine. Cover is strict unless you have a table or know a connect. Notice a trend?

Sound Club

Right off Hollywood Blvd and Las Palmas, Sound has quickly established itself as a PREMIER hotspot for Euro sluts and big-name Djs. Everyone from Kaskade and Jay-Z have performed here in the last few months. Ratio is STRICT and still expect to pay $20 for guys. Do NOT show up with average girls or you'll be laughed off Las Palmas and good lucking coming back. Excellent spot, decent smoking patio and great set-up of the club.

Restaurants

Aventine

Located on Cahuenga, this restaurant is the shit. Hands down some of the hottest chicks you'll see in Hollywood. Straight models, dimes, long legs and Colgate smiles for days. There's an outside eating/patio like bar which is great to grab an appetizer and some cocktails before rolling out for the night. Being friends with one of the owners is my inside trick and getting my food and drinks comped lessens the blow that the check will bring to most. Check it out once no matter what. Not a bad spot to bring a date as well. Dress nice; this isn't Kmart Dining Court.

Sayers Club

Located off Wilcox right in Hollywood, this is a GREAT little spot to pre-game and/or enjoy appetizers. Sexy little bar area in the shape of a fucked up horseshoe, the brick-oven pizza is excellent and moderately priced. Hit that spot around 10pm and dress to impress. Very strict door and a snapback and hoodie ain't gonna cut it.

Hotel

Roosevelt Hotel

Off Hollywood Blvd couple blocks from Chinese Graumann's Theatre. My favorite hotel in Hollywood any spot that has legit black and white photos of Brand and Pacino in the halls of the hotel is a winner in my book. Rumor is Marilyn Monroe's ghost wanders the lobby looking for a fresh cock for the night. I don't know about that, but I do know that there's plenty of fresh foreign sluts who wander the lobby looking for cock.

Rooms are pricey but you can sometimes get a good rate off the hoteltonight app. I've gotten basic rooms for around $150 a night. Splurge and get a pool view balcony suite and get ready to party your ass off.

You have 3 main spots to party ON the hotel property which makes a DUI a non-issue and makes swooping logistics perfect: Beechers Madhouse, Teddy's and Tropicana Pool Bar.

Flash your hotel room key and you're granted access to any of them unless it's a private event.

This is not an exhaustive list, but one that highlights the main clubs of Hollywood. I will add more to it when I get time.

Enjoy!

Great list, OP. Nice reference to Daisy Marie too, I think I've seen her high off her ass (literally falling around on the floor) the last few times I was at Drais.

This sort of reminds me of the Confessions of a Hollywood Promoter blog although he played it way more for laughs than your informative stance. confessionsofahollywoodpromoter.blogspot.com

Just further proof that it takes a lot of energy to be on top of night game in Los Scandalous.

Nice sheet. I went to a few of these places back when I was in LA.

How do you become a promoter/host?

Great sheet, no one on the forum knows Hollywood better than McQueen.

The Roosevelt Hotel also has The Spare Room and The Library Bar. Spare Room has hot girls aplenty - have always wanted to try going out here but never did a proper night here. I did see a lot of mixed tight circles. Library Bar had more of a boring yuppie crowd.

The Houston brothers, the guys behind Pour Vous, Harvard & Stone and La Descarga, recently opened up No Vacancy. I had high hopes, because Harvard was great for a while. Unfortunately, NV has gone downhill in no time at all. Lots of mixed groups of dorky white people. Guys in fedoras. Also tough line, due to capacity issues.

Amazing sheet McQueen

I was just at AV this past weekend. Girls were fantastic quality, as you mentioned, but I would still say not quite as good as Bungalow, which has just been mindblowing the few times I've gone.

However, I cannot believe how easy the girls at AV were opening though. The music was sick and just about every damn body in the place was dancing.

Also, I was at Lure a few months ago, and I can vouch for that place as well. The night I went was a great mix of asian, latina, white girls, and persian with just a few black girls peppered in.

Thanks. Went out a lot, brought hot girls with me and was approached to start hosting. Rest is history.

Great report. I steer clear of Hollywood but I did go to The Spare Room a few months ago and the talent was excellent. Any other recommendations for decent hotels in that area that won't cost much? The distance from me and the tight doors usually keep me away, but I'm now interested in going to a few of these spots.

Hotels are always expensive in Hollywood but if you plan in advance you can get some deals off http://www.hotwire.com as well. Just pick a spot that's close to the City Center of Hollywood.

Also, look to go in half with a forum member, cuts the costs down and gives you a spot to pre-game. I've gotten rooms at The Roosevelt a lot this past summer to pre-game and do meet-ups with my groups before hitting the club. Always an interesting night.

Next time you head to Hwood PM me and I'll be happy to do what I can with getting you into spots without hassle.

Ha.

I haven't experience that crap since I left CA in my rearview.

I swear, CA is the only place on earth that does lame sh*t like that.

Well, at least I have my California ID to show for a life wasted.

If G ever stops bad-mouthing Cali, I'm going to really start worrying and feel a deep sense of disappointment.

It is not really hating.

I just call it how it is.

I mean, where else in the world do bouncers do that "Keep it moving" sh*t that they do in every single bar in California?

Another question, why are there so many goddamn bouncers in bars in CA? In other places you never notice bouncers. In CA, it's bouncer bonkers.

People in California don't complain all the time because they have become institutionalized.

You see it all the time. They put there drink down before walking outside. They put there smoke out before walking inside. They all go home like Zombies at 1:30 am.

It is hilarious. Everyone is brainwashed there from the rules that have been slowly imposed and twisted like a noose.

Me? I have been set free. (I always traveled too much to become institutionalized as well.)

I mean hell, in Spain they are lighting 50 foot statues on fire in the street and in CA you can't light a cigarette?

In other places people are raging in the streets and in CA a bouncer is going to tell you to "Keep it moving"? Get the f*ck out of here with that sh*t.

Again, not hating, just shooting straight.

Here I recently gave props to CA: http://www.rooshvforum.network/thread-18639-...#pid526011

^^^I was outside DV8 and the bouncer told me "I couldn't stand in the walkway", which happened to be located 10ft outside of the club.

I almost bitch-slapped him for saying such a stupid thing. Then he wouldn't stop nagging/whining until I walked another 10ft down. Unreal.

^ that shit is the fucking worst.

You have to stand xyz feet away or else they get pissed. You have to have your ID out and ready like you're going through the airport. You have to have exact change because the bouncers are usually so stupid it takes them 5 minutes to get change.

If you are at a new place (not recognized by everyone) and you walk up to the bouncer it is as if you are being interviewed. Straight up annoying.

California definitely motivates you to get your money and leave though. Gotta work with what we got but all the flash of California is gone for the most part for sure. Get your money and get out.

The other thing that sucks about California is they are always checking your f*cking ID (California ID that is) for every goddamn thing.

Cigarettes? ID

Wine? ID

Going into a bar? ID

Cocktail at a restaurant? ID

Sh*t. I know I am a young and handsome looking motherf*cker, but I don't look 21.

Anyone know why they ask for your ID every 2 seconds?

I don't think I have shown my ID once since I left.

In The French Riviera, Montreal, Miami, Mexico City, Playa Del Carmen, no where.

Two hot new clubs that aren't on the list above: The Cosmo, and Hooray Henrys. Sixty Six is also hot and fairly new. The latter two are in WeHo.

There's also Couture, but it's already pretty shitty.

What's the scoop on decent after hours spots? There was one just north of downtown that had been running for a long time that just got closed down a few years ago. Can't remember the name right now.

The NYT of all papers wrote a piece on the growing after hours scene in LA:

Cant wait to get back. A few years ago I was out there a few times a month for work. I either stay at the Andaz, Standard or Shutters. Wasn't really into the LA Standard downtown, always seems pretty dead compared to the one in NY. Shutters is the beach, but no real nightlife in Santa Monica, but damn nice for the beach. The Andaz is actually pretty cool, right next to the Comedy Store, walkable to some of these spots and food. It has a pretty cool history and was the hotel on Sunset in the 60's and 70's, Keith Richards threw a tv off the top floor.

I like California but have lived here over 10 years and don't have a single Californian native friend. But there are lots of people from the midwest here, you don't have to try to make friends with the soulless locals to enjoy the weather.

In other news, Mcqueen and I are in the VIP area at create. We see 2 reasonable attractive females towards the front fistpumping at the DJ. We grease the bouncer to run them up to VIP (they had no wristbands). 1 had this emo-punk rocker haircut but very pretty face (probably a high 7), the other was a standard latina 6. <--- In the club-lighting , 1 looked like a 9, another like a good 7.

We go outside to smoke a cigarette and I preoccupy the standard latina and start blabbering about how the smoking patio is so nice, yada yada yad, and turn her to face the church in the distance (this way her back is to Mcqueen and her friend). Mcqueen gets up in about 30 seconds and grab me to the side and says "Omg, my chick is a tranny. Her voice is too gravely, and she has a masculine touch."

Bwahahah!!!!!!

Just another day in the life...
