How to see who is looking at your facebook profile

Want to know if that buxom beauty you met day-gaming is really into you, or perhaps you have a secret admirer that you are totally oblivious to? Well, I found an algorithim a few days ago that can help you do just that, sort of. It doesn't exactly tell you how many times someone clicked through your facebook, but it shows you in sequential order - who has visited your profile the most. I tested it out myself, and found no surprises really: most of the friends at the top of the list corresponded with me on a regular-basis through fb chat. However, for the uninitiated out there, you might find this very intriguing.

Ok for starters:

First step: download or start up google chrome web browser

Second Step: Type in facebook.com

Third Step: Right click on your news feed, then click "View Page Source"

Fourth Step: You will see a bunch of random html code; now press "ctrl+f" (search function), then type in "FriendsList".

Fifth Step: You will see a string of numbers after "FriendsList", followed by a hyphen and another number - it's important to only copy the number and not the hyphen. In other words, lets say there is a string that reads 3207092846-7 - you would only copy the 3207092846.

Final Step: Type in facebook.com/ and then the number, so like in the previous example: facebook.com/3207092846. After that is done you will then be redirected to the corresponding person who looks at your profile the most.

I just checked and it's showing people not online.
Varying letters of first and last as well.

Wonder whether it's random or means something.

This may have worked in the past, but the "InitialChatFriendsList" no longer, if it ever has, sorts by a "how many times so-and-so has viewed your profile" metric. From what I know, this "technique" was ostensibly exposed in 2010, so it'd be patched up by now if anything.

Facebook is pretty adamant about anonymous browsing, and it has been affirmed time and time again that it will be kept this way.

Sorry to burst your bubble.

Yep. They even closed this hack as soon as it got exposed:

Thanks for pointing that out, sorry if I lead anyone astray. Good to know though.

Why are they so keen on anonymous browsing? Seems like a decent gimmick for Facebook considering most dating sites and even LinkedIn use it.

Increases Facewhore use because people can be voyeurs without concern for consequences. Like how women who like you will face AWAY from you and ask her friends who are facing you in the little circle if you are looking at her.

They just want maximum time wasted there so they can sell more ads and your personal data. THEY know who/what people look at , they mine the data and sell it, so they don't want anyone else knowing that info.

I only have projects on facebook like movies and albums, and I don't put any personal photos there. I have anonymized photos like those old spy photos with the eyes blocked out. It's the Gubmint.

All social media IS the Gubmint, since they allow unrestricted access to the Gubmint, they are a surveillance branch of the same.
