Trip Report: Oaxaca, Mexico

For every Mexico post on here which makes sense to me and is consistent with my experience, I read about ten Mexico posts which seem completely off it and I seriously question whether the poster is talking about the same Mexico that I visit. MidWest (unfortunately he's no longer with us), germanico, and Jariel's posts along with the recent stuff posted by coverdoc, Luvianca, and godzilla are really accurate. I think I need to ignore much or all of the rest.

Me, when dudes here say that mexican girls cook for them.

OGNorcal, im not trying to pick an argument. So you saw one DUDE killing it on the dance floor. Did you saw him slaying any pussy that night? Or at least walk out of there with a woman under his arm?

Dancing does not equals fucking. Not in Mexico, not anywhere. If you assume that just because you saw some dude receiving some female attention at the dance floor equates to that dude getting laid, you are making the same assumption that guy made when he decided to take up salsa lessons.

Quote:Quote:

Salsa is a very specialized style of dancing that most North Americans and Europeans aren't going to learn in their countries or cultures

Salsa is a genre of music and dancing that is also foreign to mexicans. They have known it for as long as you have.

Merenguero, I think what you are saying now pretty much backs up the point I have tried to make before about Mexico: it is an inconsistent country, in general, for the average player traveling to Latin America.
Some guys, for specific reasons, will do well with the women there and love it.
But for most of us, Colombia and the Dominican Republic provide more consistent results.

I agree, but what I'm starting to realize is that a lot of white or black guys from Anglo countries who have little or no experience with Latin America go to Mexico, then start raving about how well they do and how easy it is because they do better there then they do with their own women. I'll be the first to say that if I put the same amount of effort in with white girls and black girls in the United States that I do in Mexico, I will do marginally better with Mexicans. I will also say that every place in Latin America is easier than Mexico except for Argentina. I'm not sure that a guy who is thoroughly familiar with Latin America will disagree with me.

^^^^ The dudes I see killing it the most in Mexico are the chicano Mexican American guys. Those guys have status there automatically because they're from America, speak English AND Spanish and communicate better with the girls.

I went down with a group of guys to the Riviera Maya and Yucatan. It was me, 2 other Black guys, 3 white guys and 2 Mexican chicano guys, and the chicano guys were the once that got laid the most because they knew Spanish. They made the rest of us look like amateurs. I struggled because my Spanish was awful. I got stares for being a Black guy but it didn't mean much.

That was my experience of going down there one time.

Chicanos are seen as hoodrats by native Mexicans. The rich ones think they're thugs and the poor ones as a beta bucks cholo. Not to mention most Chicanos speak improper Spanish which puts then in a cultural disadvantages.

I say this from experience. I use to add "s" to the end of words, which is what uneducated people do (quisistes, hicistes, etc) it affected my social circle so I corrected that and learned proper Spanish.

That post you are responding to just confuses me more. I very rarely see Mexican Americans when I am there (I saw many more in Acapulco than in either Playa or Guadalajara), so I'm not sure. Pretty much all of the Mexican American guys I have met there were either with their girlfriends of families.

When I mean chicanos, I'm not talking about the cholo, gangster types. Of course if they go down there dressing with sagging pants they might scare the hell out of the girls.

The guys who were in our group were dressed up suited and booted like we Black guys say.

I think you thought I was talking about these fine gentleman:

^^^If they go dressing like that, then yeah they would think they're thugs.

I'm not entirely sure about this, but I have a Mexican American friend whose parents are from Tijuana and he told me that you tend to see more Mexican Americans in states where the immigrants from the U.S. come from like central and northern Mexico.

I guess I should have worded it better. I only saw my two Hispanic friends killing it, and my assumption comes from those two guys that it might be easier for them because those guys did better with the Mexican ladies than the rest of our group. Sure its a small sample, but those guys knew way more Spanish than us, I can tell you that, even if it was improper or not they got girls. I was a little jealous of them myself.

I'll be the first to admit this was me. When i first arrived to Mex I subconsciously put in more effort than back home and that led to better results and in return a better mexico experience. Now that i'm back in the states, i've done the same and within 3 days of my landing was at a chick's house. Once i actually crunched the number of digits, dates, make out and bangs etc and compared them, it was about the same with same amount of effort. Food for thought, thanks for mentioning it Merenguero.

I've posted about this before. If I approach 100 girls from each of the following countries (Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, Mexico, United States, Colombia, Peru), and just say hi to them and hand my number out without asking for their numbers and without doing much else, the Dominicans, Costa Ricans, and Peruvians would be blowing up my phone. A lot of the Colombians would call me, but a lot wouldn't. Not many Mexicans would call me, but I'm sure there would be some. Few if any of the Americans would call me. You simply have to do more to get Mexicans and Americans than you do with those other women and I have experience in all of those countries that I just mentioned.

In the United States, there is actually a mix of people from all over Mexico. My hometown (godzilla knows where I am from) is full of Southern Mexicans and now the children of Southern Mexicans. If you see a Mexican there, and ask he if he is from Oaxaca, you have about a 99% chance of being correct. Atlanta has a lot of Acapulco influence. Philadelphia, Baltimore, and P.G. County have tons of poblanos. Brooklyn and Queens also have a lot of poblanos, but they also have a lot of people from Veracruz. Chicago has a lot of people from Michoacan, Zacatacas, and Guanajuato. Los Angeles has a lot of Jalisco influence, but like the rest of the Southwestern United States, has strong representation from pretty much all of Mexico.

I never saw Chicanos do well in Guadalajara. Actually they were usually with average girls at best. Remember a lot of girls are looking for marriage. The girls I saw go for the bad boy were usually girls with some kinda fucked relationship

In Puerto Vallerta, one guy was roaming the beach with good game, but usually these guys roll too deep from what ive seen. He approached American girls I was with some great game actually, I was just already locked in.

The guys that really kill it in Mexico that I saw were extremely well dressed guys with high escalation game. If Im wrong, tell me, I honestly didnt go to out enough

One thing I'll say is that for some reason, a lot of the Central and Northern Mexican girls I have been with and/or have had mini-relationships with have had Mexican American boyfriends in the past. This may deserve its own thread or something, but my personality type tends to only attract Mexican girls who prefer either guys from their own culture or guys like me who aren't really from their culture, but have been around and/or involved in their culture for most or all of their lives. I tend to either scare away or simply reject the girls who like to chase foreigners.

I'm going to petition my town to change its name to Wildwoodxaca. The Mexicans will like it and the few white people and Puerto Ricans left probably won't give a fuck.

I have never heard any man in Latin america talk the same about mexicanas.

Trip Report: Oaxaca, Mexico

Due to illness I haven't been out of the country for a few years, nor was I trying to find girls on this trip since I went with one...but here goes:
I just spent a few days in the small towns about an hour south of Puerto Escondido. Really nice cheap place to chill with a chick (who speaks perfect Spanish), not really the best place to swoop but if you snagged somebody up in Puerto it's an awesome and inexpensive escape. Hotel on the beach was around $60 a night, meals were $5-12. Very hot this time of year, but apparently a bit less from November-February. Also busier.

St Augustinillo was where I stayed, very quiet nice places on the beach. The cab from Puerto was 450 pesos (negotiated it down from 500)- for like a 45 minute ride.
The town of Mazunte is pretty hippy with plenty of hostels and gringos passing through. There were lots of solo travelers and a few groups of Western girls and guys.
If one were looking to swoop I think this would be the spot.
Make sure you take cash. Almost nobody takes credit cards, and in Mazunte the 3 cash machines had been out for 3 days. The next closest was 3 towns over.
The closest supermarket is 20-25 minutes away, but eating out is so cheap I don't know if I'd even bother to cook here.

They've only had cellphones/internet down there since 2012/13, so this area is still pretty raw.
The beach in Puerto Angel was probably my favorite, and also my favorite meal of of the trip.
Maybe I'm naive, or just extra careful as a New Yorker, but it seemed like there wasn't much crime around here. In the city of Puerto Escondido we were told to stay off the beach at night, but in these small towns I think they don't want to shit where they eat since tourism is really coming along nicely. Like collectively people don't want to fuck things up for everybody.

Having not been out of the states for awhile, I noticed how friendly and nice Mexican people were- even when they're not trying to sell you something. White people, for the most part, don't even look at you.
