Manaus, Brazil

Vacancier, we need some tips on where to stay. Right now we are staying at a hotel in Centro. Its cheap but shitty, and they wont let us take girls to the room. Seems like all the hotels have the same girl policy.

It seems like nobody really lives in Centro. its the comercial district. There are lots of people everywhere during the day which makes it great for day game, but its dead at night. And no real clubs here.

So we want to move to a different part of the city. Ideally we'd want to get a furnished short term apartment rather than a hotel. Proximity to clubs would be good cause it costs a shit load to go from centro to the clubs by taxi. A lively day environmental would be nice for day game. And a clean upper class area would be nice as centro is kinda dirty.

You mentioned 3 areas that have a lot of clubs. Do any of them (or neighboring areas) fit the bill?

So far the girls have been totally easy, but its too early to give a solid update. We'll update soon.

We spent 3 days in the jungle, swiming in the amazon, canoeing, catching piranhas, our guide caught a few baby caymen (aligator-type creature), and more. The jungle excursion was amazing. You got to do it if you come to manaus.

We were in Argentina. We went to iguazu Falls on the Argentine side, then crossed the border to Brazil by taxi. Once you are in Brazil, flights within the country cost much less than flights from neighboring countries. Like 4 times less.

Manaus has no roads going into it, so you have to take a plain. Or its possible to take a boat from some places, but its super slow, like days.

Delta Airlines has nonstops from Atlanta 5X per week. That's how I plan to get there.

Partytime/Gringoed,
I'll check with my buddy who travels all the time to Manaus about your question. What is your budget? Do you want to stay at a low end/mid-level or high end hotel? How long are you guys planning on staying in MAO? I'll get back to you guys once I hear back from my buddy.

Keep us updated on your adventures in Manaus.

We don't have an exact budget, but we like to get a good value. I'd say something mid level.

I don't now how long exactly we're going to stay, but probably not too long. Its really hot here, and I keep getting bit by mosquitoes. I swear I have about 40 to 50 bites on my body right now, but I think some might be bed bugs [Image: sad.gif] . The city is not that pretty or clean, and other than the really easy girls, and the rain forest, I dont see to many other attractions. But I'll keep you guys posted as I discover more.

hahah like minded people, I am all about value too [Image: smile.gif] I used to eat a match head with every meal in the military to keep the mosquitos and chiggers away... it worked the only field exercise I did where I got chiggers was when I wasnt eating matches.... probably bad for me though. Any way Exofficio makes this shirt, pants, hat with natural mosq repellant, its supposed to work really well, I have one of their other shirts and I really like it

I'm starting to understand why everybody loves Brazil.

This place is ridiculous. I think they have a gringo obsession or something.

Last night (Sunday night) I finally got a chance to try some night game here for the first time in Manaus. Props to Vancancier for suggesting Crocodilos because that place was hoppppppping!!!

The first girl I approached, maybe the hottest in the club, I took to a nearby love hotel and banged her about an hour after the approach. No resistance whatsoever at any point. She's 18 with a perfect perfect fucking body and cute face, no shyness, big desire to please, and excellent skills in bed. I don't speak Portuguese either so it was all non-verbal game. My camera was broken at the time but if I see her again I'll try to snap some photos.

After banging, went back to the club to get a bunch of numbers to see whether numbers here mean anything. 100% number close rate, usually within 1 minute.

Other notes about Manaus: I've been followed several times on the street by men and women alike. A couple of times a random woman has literally stopped dead in her tracks, cat called to me, and then proceeded to follow me for blocks. Another time, Partytime and I were walking on the street and we got opened by these two girls about 21 y/o. We exchanged contact info and that night we met them at a bar where they practically begged us to fuck them, I'm not exaggerating. This shit is bananas.

If that's the treatment you are getting in Manaus, stay there, because Rio and most the rest of Brazil is much different.

Yeah, its just plain easy here. The girls here chase hardcore. But the problem is they are really not that hot. Manaus is for quantity, not quality. I'm starting to get bored.

As an example of my previous post, I just got back from hanging out with 2 girls. In the taxi on the way back, they took me to the love hotel instead of my own hotel. But I told them "no." They were very mediocre. I would have fucked them if they made it easier on me, but they wanted to hang out for like 2 hours before that.

Bitch, make it difficult and you get no cock.

Though I will add that homely girls in the other cities do chase as well.

I really wouldnt recommend Manaus for getting laid. You WILL get laid if you put in a little effort and have decent game, but the girls are not hot (in general), the weather is too hot, and the city is rather small with not much to do or see.

The right reason to come to manaus is to do the Amazon rain forrest adventure i mentioned earlier. That was a really amazing adventure. Its something that i would love to do for 2 to 4 weeks in the future. I've never felt better. All the swimming, rowing, sun, sweating, healthy food, lack of electricity & internet, adventure, and conversation with other travelers. It was just great.

Sounds like my experience in Salvador... girls literally following me for blocks, cat-calling me, etc. But nothing even close to being attractive enough for me to bang.

Gringoed,

You mentioned that men have followed you in the street too. Were they trying to cause trouble or did they just want to chat with a foreigner? Does the city seem fairly safe for the most part?

Also, any pics of the local talent would be appreciated. They don't have to be of girls you've banged, but just any random snaps of the local women so we can get an idea of what the average grade might be there.

For the most part I'm staying in the areas I feel comfortable, which is around the Teatro Amazonas. Walking back from the club to my hotel was pretty shady and that's where this dude kept following me in his car and insisting he give me a ride. He didn't look that shady so my guess is he was gay. Other than that, mostly harmless looking homeless people and the like. No gangs or tough-looking guys.

However, outside the Teatro area it gets pretty seedy.

My camera is busted but I'll try to borrow one before I leave.
