Does the blue pill kill?
02-15-2013, 01:33 AM
I was talking to my buddy the other night that runs a poker game and he told me that a guy that plays in the game, whom I have met twice, killed himself.
This guy was about 60 or so and was going through a divorce with a much younger woman, as I understand it.
So he's hanging out with his buddy, talking to his future ex-wife on the phone and he asks if there is any chance they can get back together. She says no so he puts a gun to his head and pulls the trigger.
This guy did fairly well for himself and ran his own business with his own employees and what not, so clearly he did a few things right in his life that yielded him success.
So, what if she had said yes? Do they get back together and live happily ever after? Or does this just slow down the inevitable?
I honestly can't help but think this guy would have been better had he never gotten married.
I don't know where I am going with this thread. It just struck me as completely fucked that a guy would go 60 years and then blow his brains out over some fucking cunt.
You want to know the only thing you can assume about a broken down old man? It's that he's a survivor.

I feel bad for the guy.
Wouldn't say the blue pill kills, but damn, that's depressing.

I wouldn't say the man pulled the trigger due to some ideology of blue or red pill.
Could have been a number of things...maybe the guy was bored with life (knew a kid who was 19, took his parents car for a ride and drove head on into a semi), maybe he was a religious freak who wanted to see what happened next, maybe he was tired of getting his ass kicked in gambling and was so fucking alpha that he put his balls on the table to stop the problem, maybe he was dying of some illness that put a time limit on his life, maybe he no longer had a dick.
Any number of things that could have made a man pull the trigger with the icing being some disloyal partner on the phone. Maybe she was the last push...

Looking at my father(two times divorced) and where he is at right now in terms of finance, happiness and everything... And the LTR that brought me to the lowest of the lows to date in my life.. I can agree blue pill mentality does have some influence

Blue pill has surely killed many men historically when they used to duel about the "honor" of some slut who just played power games by watching men fight for her.

Great observation bro, that's why I always tell bitches to close their mouths when I am having an argument/issue with another man. Because as soon as a woman opens her mouth the situation always goes from bad to worse in a split second. The blue pill does however cause a slow death, in the sense that it never truly allows a man to live.
What was that Braveheart quote? "All men die, but not all men live" that sums up 'blue pill' for me.

Pablo Picasso's main homie invited Pablo and the posse to a dinner. His girl had just jilted him, and I guess they wanted him to feel better @ the meal.
Dude pulled out a gun and killed himself @ the dinner.
Pablo Picasso then entered his "blue period".

I would argue that the red pill kills far more often than the blue pill. Remember that society and nations are built on large masses of people taking the blue pill. Most of them are perfectly happy in their walking slumber whereas many red pill burns out rather than fades away.

Just ask yourself guys who take the most risks in their lives? Red/blue pill?
The point is not to live long however, but to enjoy it to the fullest.
