I've smoked for ten years now. I have mostly smoked Marlboro reds through out. I switched it up for a little while to camel wides and would throw in the parliament full flavors here and there as well. But them good ol cowboy killers are my stick of choice. And I definitely taste the difference outside the states. None that I have tried compare to the reds in the states and I've tried many from different countries. They taste different country to country period. They taste lighter in most Latin American countries (the filters being a tad bit longer may have something to do with it). I find myself cutting the filters occasionally to get that stronger taste. When I'm outside the states, sometimes they don't sell Marlboros in certain stores and I need a smoke, I'll go with lucky strike reds to hold me over.

I've had a lot of luck lately finding 75 cent off packs at local gas stations and convenience stores. Seems the local stores get a few cartons of 75 cents off per pack about once per week. I usually buy a whole carton and I'm set until the following week when I catch another deal. I still think smokes are overpriced but it's nice saving a bit of money.

I'm taking a break from my white boy cigs with a couple packs of newpoats. I like mixing it up from time to time.

Just picked up 3 cartons of cigarettes from duty-free
1) Sobranie Black Russian 100s
2) Sobranie Cocktails 100s
3) Davidoff Classic (I was contemplating picking up the Davidoff Magnums, but it was almost double the price)

Has anyone tried a portable hookah? It's like these giant e-cigarettes. They come in lots of flavors and you get about 600 puffs before you throw it away. Costs $7 where I am.

augen seven, then you have likely never tried cigarillos from proper tobacco stores. You might as well be saying that all vodka is vile from the experience of drinking Yeltsin vodka.

I've smoked for about 20 years now. Tried different brands and settled on Camels, Luckies, and roll-your-own with Golden Virginia being my preferred brand of tobacco.
That said I'm now on e-cigs. Not sure if it belongs to this thread but does anyone know of a brand of liquid that doesn't leave that damn sweet after-taste in your mouth? I'd prefer if they didn't put any flavor to it - it feels silly to smoke berries or apple.

@augenshen- 78 dollars/ carton of black sobranie, 72 dollars/carton of cocktails. All of this was purchased at the duty-free shop in Tel-Aviv Airport.
I don't even think its possible to buy these in a lot of countries.

Roll your own like a boss. It's amazing how impressed girls are by simple feats like rolling a smoke in 20 seconds.

I smoke Nat Sherman MCD's. Not sure how to implant a pic.
They are delicious.
Occasionally I roll my own with Drums being good, and back in the day they had zig zag brand tobacco which was excellent, though haven't seen it in years.
Cannot smoke brand name conventional cigarettes anymore without getting a headache, they taste too chemically.
I have never smoked more than half a pack a day unless under extreme stress.
Obviously smoking is not good for you, but I think a modest habit is no more dangerous to your health than drinking, eating poorly, or lack of exercise.
