Poland/Lithuania or Hungary for one year
11-19-2012, 06:14 AM
Hello community !
I am 22 and I am about to take a year in Eastern Europe, yet I am still unsure about the destination.
I come from France, lived in Denmark for one year so basically I am at the point where any feminine girl above a 6 without too much attitude is a gem in my eyes.
Every interraction I had with EE girls went smooth and they are a real pleasure to talk to.
I think all those places are quite cheap and the quality of the girls is pretty much the same in every city. I was in Lithuania two months ago and the English is just okay, but not a problem. The rest is fine too.
I heard amazing stories about Budapest's nightlife, the city is also quite magnificent.
I don't know much about Poland in itself but most of the Polish girls I met were LTR material.
I really liked Vilnius but I am afraid there might be not enough activities for a whole year since I have been to Latvia and Estonia already.
So:
-What city offers the best cultural activites ? Like sightseeing, museums, concerts, movies in original version etc ...
I don't really want a "campus city" with only students and nothing to do but getting wasted.
-Where can I live in the city center without having to mortgage a lung?
-I would also like to practise my Russian but apparently even if some girls there do know some Russian they hate speaking it, so that's not an obligation.
-Which city is free of spaniards and sex tourists ?
Of course if one of those cities is a poosy paradise I may reconsider these criteria.
Thank you for your help guys !

Can't speak for Budapest as I've never been there but for Vilnius where I grew up and visit frequently I can answer your questions:
"I would also like to practise my Russian but apparently even if some girls there do know some Russian they hate speaking it, so that's not an obligation."
Not a problem, Vilnius has a relatively large minority Russian population compared to the other cities and you'll hear plenty of people speaking Russian on the streets especially if you hit the southern suburbs. Day game would be ideal for this, especially chatting up the ethnic Russian babes milling in stores or waiting at bus stops.
-Which city is free of spaniards and sex tourists ?
Not Vilnius, unfortunately plenty of stag parties there and dark haired foreigners. You will need to hit 2nd tier cities if you want to escape tourists.
"Of course if one of those cities is a poosy paradise I may reconsider these criteria."
Vilnius is great for nightlife with a perfect ratio and unless you're part of a stag party you should do okay as a foreigner. Just carry yourself with "some swagger", dress nice and pretend you're interested in the local culture. Try to hang out around Vilnius University and ask where the students hang out (use this approach especially if you're under 30). You will need to make the first approach as LT girls can be painfully shy but i'm sure that's not a problem for you if you travel solo.

Budapest is an amazing city to visit, but the whole vibe is very clique-ish altogether. Even in the everyday non-new money crowd, locals can be very closed off & reserved. I found older Hungarians to be very nice but the younger social scene not to mention all the females are meh. For that reason, I'd recommend a visit but not so much settling down there unless you're a good looking female who's going to get hit on all the time..haha.
With that being said, I stayed in a nice rental apartment for 15 Euros a night for 5 nights and came away empty-handed. Maybe I had one or two good looks during that time but merely did not capitalize.

You did not like the Danish girls? To score the top girls you have to have a strong social circle.
If you are cold approaching hot danish girls on a night out you better bring some game.
You have to be very patient in Denmark. You cant just arrive and expect good result quickly.
Sorry for off topic

Hungarian women are among the women that have more sex per year. It's also cheap. And pretty. And Budapest is one of Europe's porn capital.
Warsaw is also nice. I suppose its easier to interact with polish girls, since( I think) they might speak better english

I would say Budapest, as I am from Hungary. Budapest is a big city, around 2 million people. You can do a lot of sightseeing, we have castles, nice buildings, a lot of museums. As far as nightlife, you can find any type of club.
Depending on your needs, you can rent apartments in the heart of the city starting from 200 EUR. Of course, nicer ones will run you a lot more.
Budapest has a lot of tourist. Expect to see Italians, Spaniards, lot of people from Asia.
As far as speaking Russian, there is a Russian community in Budapest, due to the fact that the country was oppressed bby them for a long time. I'm sure you can find somebody to talk to. If not, I can point you to the direction of the Russian Cultural Institue in Budapest.
Regarding the women: there are a lot of girls interesting to meet foreigners. I can PM you the clubs where this type can be found, but expect a lot of other foreign competition. The quality of these girls can vary from busted to
real hot. For the highest quality, you have to visit other clubs. Of course they are a bit snobbish too.
PM me if you need more information.

My bad Vorkuta. I forgot to reply to this. Győr might be the nicest city out of those. I went there to university, so I know the place quite good. It's also the easiest to get there from Budapest. 90 minutes with train. Szeged is also a good choice, it's a university town, but a little too far. Same for Debrecen. English level is okay among university students, but don't expect many that speak really good english. Best time to visit Győr is during spring, or summer.
Forget about Miskolc. It's a dump.
