I feel like on steroids when I take this!
What do you guys who are in the know think about this supplement?

The most interesting in that is the Tongkat Ali, though very low dose because that stuff is expensive. It grows naturally in SEA in roots of a tree, but has been chopped down almost anywhere because of demand. Has been and still is used as an effective natural Viagra. Very difficult to get the real deal now. Studies done on rats showed marked testosterone increase.

As said, difficult to find high quality doses of it now.

I've started up my zinc supplementation again. Yesterday I took 100mg of Zinc (50mg tab in the morning, 100mg in the evening). My left testicle tingled immediately.

I will try again today and monitor. I also sprayed some Magnesium oil on after my shower in the evening.

I fell asleep shortly after.

I will let you know my progress in the gym and with lizards.

Just found out that the 30 mg Zinc gluconate/picolinate capsules I have been using have been banned by a recent EU directive. Pure zinc or zinc in larger amounts is now treated like some sort of controlled substance.

Bought 22 mg Zinc bisglycinate tablets instead. Hope it works just as well.

I started taking zinc a few days ago, 100 mg a day spread over four 25mg tablets, and I haven't had a good response overall. I didn't get any of the common side-effects mentioned in the thread (nausea, headaches), but it has actually negatively affected my hardons.

It's kind of like being on speed, where you feel horny but you can't actually get hard. I tried jerking it for awhile and could only get a weak half-boner. Same thing happened when I went over to one of my girl's places last night, we'd fuck for awhile and then I'd go limp which doesn't happen to me usually. I also got incredibly vivid dreams and had some trouble sleeping.

It doesn't seem like anyone else on the thread got the boner-killing effect (usually the opposite), so I'm just gonna chalk my experience up as a paradoxical reaction. I stopped taking the pills this morning, so hopefully it's all back to normal in a day or two.

Ok, I've been supping with Zinc *consistently* for about 3 months now. Thought I'd drop a little update:

Visible Benefits

- Bigger loads
- Better sex drive
- More energy
- much quicker recovery from workouts/training

Only negative I see is a bit of stomach ache if I take too much.

I've been taking between 30-60mg a day in a supplement called Zinc balance, which also includes copper.

Definitely one of my top supplements up there with D3, Magnesium oil, and fish oil.

I'm reposting the below yet again because it looks like every couple of months someone else is trying to fuck himself over by ingesting MEGADOSES of zinc on the daily.

Take 35mg a day and use a formulation with copper, preferably Optizinc. Don't fuck yourself in the ass with stupid megadoses and copper deficiency.

Well, one dude posted on the forum lounge that he is taking 250mg a day. That is a megadose and it's outright dangerous. I wouldn't take that much on any day, let alone every day.

Another dude a few posts upthread posted that he's taking 100mg a day. That is way more than you need and it's unnecessary and inadvisable. You can take 100mg at one time on occasion, but you don't want to do it daily. I don't know if that's a megadose but it's getting up there.

Optizinc comes in 30mg capsules. So it's recommended to take only one daily, or two?

I took one a day for a week, a couple of those days I took two, and notice no difference whatsoever. Maybe I didn't take it long enough.

On the other hand, ACV gave me huge improvements in erections.

Just take 1 optizinc a day with a meal. The point is not to "notice" something very obvious -- it's just to make sure that you have enough zinc to support your immune system, enhance your libido over time, etc.

If you want to experience a short term drug-like effect in terms of libido, the size of your load and so on, you can pop a few of these at the same time -- but that should be reserved for special occasions, not daily use.

It has been a few months since I tried zinc supplements. Here is what happened to me. I'm taking the Now Foods 50mg Zinc tablets. I take one tablet in the morning after I workout. I do this monday through friday. I don't take them on weekends.

My results:

* I wake up earlier in the morning. Sleep is very important so I go to bed around 11pm. I usually wake up around 7am. But since I started taking Zinc, I naturally wake up around 6am without feeling tired.

* My morning erections are stronger. Now there's a big caveat in this. I'm not going to say that this is 100% because of the Zinc. But Zinc is probably one of the reasons. I do a lot of squats and leg exercises. And I take cold showers. I don't masturbate and I don't look at porn.

* No difference in ejaculation volume.

* Shorter recovery time. To be fair, this is probably a combination of a lot of other factors like I said earlier.

In short, I think only the waking up earlier part can be directly attributed to the zinc. I'll keep taking it. But it's not something that I would swear by it like some of you.

Has any one else tried supplementing with zinc and seen results? I was obviously deficient in zinc as are most the population but interested to see if anyone else had good results with zinc supplementation. I don't plan on doing this mega dose for more than four weeks. I am going to get my levels checked with a blood test and after the four weeks are done go back to about 50mg a day.

I like to take it before bed(50mg)... I take 500mg magnesium at the same time, seems to make me drowsy in combination.

I've heard that zinc supplementation can cause copper deficiency.. Something to be aware of if you're mega dosing. I don't worry too much about it myself and I'm not sure how it manifests itself. Something I'll look into.

Edit - just saw copper deficiency was mentioned above...

I'm always conscious of placebos but I really do feel better in just about every way. I felt pretty good beforehand to be honest.

You know that feeling when you are just over the brow of an illness hill and notice how great you feel comparatively…that's how I feel.

be careful y'all. been taking 150mg of zinc daily for a week. its made me anemic due to copper and iron deficiency from taking the zinc. i didnt know it, but my zinc levels are fine and im going to lower my dosage to 50mg daily and start taking 5-10mg of copper with it.

it did make my depression dissipate a lot, tho, hence why im balancing it with copper and not tossing it out completely.

is simply the best zinc supplement on the market. Easily more bioavailable than most other zinc supps, I felt the effects very quickly, in a big way, with only 1 capsule per day. It's high quality, so only 1 or 2(maximum) is needed.

Taking zinc without copper for more than a month is risky- anemia, depletion of copper in your body, mineral imbalance will certainly occur. And as Lizard of Oz said earlier, excessive zinc consumption past sufficient and required use is no good and wise.

It's the best, no doubt. I had zinc picolinate from the same company, now foods, just before taking l-optizinc, and the gap between these two products, in terms of quality, formulation, absorption and overall good effects for the body, is simply too immense.

Anyone ever have aggression problems taking zinc? When I say aggression I mean like wanting to put put someone's head through a wall kind of aggression (bad kind). I have been taking 50mg/day for roughly 2-3 weeks but have not taken it every day.

It's starting to concern me a bit for obvious reasons.

I lift/run consistently (4-5x week). I have been weening myself off phenibut(500mgs 2x/week). And I take a preworkout before the gym.

Not sure what could be causing aggression like this other than zinc. Has anyone had similar experiences?
