Is Kendrick gay?
I'll admit I don't care much about his rapping and only know a few of his songs, but he and J Cole are the best conscious rappers for their generation. Both are super blue pill and liberal but I don't think either of them are gay. Are they a little soft? Of course compared to Nas or Jay-Z but they are not 80s or early 90s black kids, they are young millenials and hipsters, what else can you expect from them?
J. Cole and Kendrick young millenial hipsters?
Huh?
These guys arent modern snot nosed, blue and purple braids wearing early 20s hipster mcs. Both men are in their 30s and rap about their experiences growing up in ghetto America. Neither one attempts to inflate their "gangsterdom", like Jay-z, Nas and most mainstream 90s rappers. If that makes them a "little soft", so be it.
It doesnt sound like you actually listen to their music, which is fine but lets not throw them into the same bag as Drake when they dont warrant it. Kendrick is from Compton USA, Drake is from a nice area in Toronto, Canada. I've visited both cities, Drake has no street cred but wants to sing about "catching bodies" and simultaneously swagger jacks Memphis, The Bay and Houston.
Even if J Cole is a little bit younger than me, he is a hipster bro.
Google pictures of him and tell me that he does not even dress like one. Kendrick is not much better either and he is younger.
Hipsters are their biggest fan base. Not your garden variety street nigga or dude from the hood. Migos is more that speed, especially in the South.
Round here if I ask another black dude if he listens to either one of those cats, I might as well asked him if he smokes out of a bong instead of a blunt.
Politically both are very liberal. Not just because they are anti Trump, but because they are literally no different than Eminem. But hey, I get it. That's how you maintain social proof these days so you can continue to sell records and get your money from Hollywood and the Jewish record industry cabal and feed off Jay Z's leftovers. I get it. Would Nas punk out like that? Nope. A few others would call out black people's bullshit and hypocrisy if they wanted to and would get little to no pushback because at least they are consistent about it. We used to have rappers back in the day plead with the black community to stop the killings, not blame cops or white people. I'm sure a few have said something today, but it's not like it was before. Community was stronger back in the age of hiphop. Now rap is no longer hiphop and peddles victim-mentality and world salad bullshit.
There is nothing cutting edge from these guys. No teeth with rawness. 90s rappers were more loose with their words. DMX has never minced his words in public. Cassidy is another. I could go on and on.
When Future is likely the rawest/guttural rapper alive right now, that's really saying something. Just shows how the trap side of rap took over the real talk side of what is left of hiphop.
You are all over the place here.
If you like Future's mumble rap, "La di dad di da" lyrics about selling and consuming drugs and killing people who like like him thats cool, he has "hipster" fans too, just like Eminem and every other rapper you mentioned.
Future is definitely not red pill, look at how he lives his life outside of the recording studio. You brought politics into it, do you think Future is voting conservative or championing right wing causes?
"In the FUTURE niggas playing football with your son"
-Jay-Z
No you are the one all over the place.
It's one thing to have lots of hipster fans. That's unavoidable. It's another to look just as raggedy as them. That shit really isn't hiphop at all. Hiphop is flashy and colorful. Not a v neck, sloppy dreds, plain shoes, and those funny looking sweatpants young dudes wear that makes their junk stick out. I love ASAP Rocky alot, but I cannot lie dude is a little bit hipster too. Which is fine. He still isn't soft though.
Nowhere did I say Future is redpilled. He isn't redpilled and his game is just as suspect as well as the others. Re-read what I wrote. I said he is the rawest one, as in the least soft. Which is lame for this generation of rappers. A self made dope sellin style rapper with cringe-inducing ratchet as fuck lyrics. That's this generation's hardest hitting rapper? Weak. Hell in the 2000s it was at least a list as long as a basketball team roster of rappers that bring heat and that fire. It's like after Lil Wayne had his last Carter album, the Earth became silent. Where are the Jadakiss like niggas at, that can have a nice mainstream joint, then wreck someone or something? Doesn't need to be gangster. Can be Cassidy or JR Writer like is all I'm saying. Even Andre 3000 can spit bars if he felt like it. Where are the 12 minute freestyles full of heat (fire not filler) or hot mixtapes?
Why is it that Sway has to grab the mic and say shit like he hates these wack ass rappers, anytime someone that has that old school heat comes to his studio show and spits a dope freestyle.
Gorilla in the room much?
