Hey what's up guys?

Firstly I'd like to thank AlphaTravel, RioNomad, NewToPUA, Vicious, RichieP and trey (hope I haven't missed out anyone) for the knowledge dropped on this thread http://www.rooshvforum.network/thread-12224.html which is basically one big data sheet.

Secondly, I hate opening a dupe thread but I really felt like the previous thread was tailored towards older guys (except maybe NewToPUA who I recall saying is 23), and the post count had gotten massive; hope y'all don't mind.

I'm heading to BKK soon (early July) with a couple buddies. It would be awesome if you guys (the thai click, but everyone else with knowledge is obviously more than welcome to chime in) could confirm/deny what I think I've learned from your thread.
Here it goes:
I'm 19 (will be 20 once I get there) and I'm looking for a good time trying to hook up with as many locals chicks as possible, drink myself into a coma and whatnot. I'll be relying mainly on SNLs and I'm not sure how many dates I'll be able to do.
My game is shameful but I've been told more than once by girls my beta self couldn't take advantage of that I'm pretty goodlooking and usually have no trouble making friends and meeting new people and this will be a great occasion to rack up some experience and I hope confidence.

Would you guys recommend an apt or hostels/guesthouses? Our budget won't be too tight, as we aren't broke yet but we won't be spending the amount of cash guys like AlphaTravel or Vicious have either, we'll stay there 3-4 weeks.

I understand Khao San is more touristy and filled with backpackers, rowdy aussies and the occasional hot swedes, I'd like to avoid that as I'm sure I would get sucked in and hardly take my time to visit all the wonders Thailand can offer to a more attentive and patient visitor. On the other hand though I'm pretty sure Thong Lor -high end and expensive- won't fit in our budget either.
A lot of you mentioned Banglumpoo as a place where you had a lot of fun in would it be possible and is it advisable to stay there?

As to what to do once we get there I'd like to visit pretty much all the places you guys mentioned: RCA, Rooftop, Sala Sod, The Club etc... all places you mentioned as being pretty easy for hookups and stuff. I was wondering if you guys would suggest visiting Soi Cowboy too as you've written more than once it's packed with "farang" and pros or semi-pros- I'd really like to get the most out of my Thai trip.
Also is Kowsan a good spot for the night? I can't remember if it was mentioned as being full of roidheads and hipsters and hard for the competition or alright for meeting thai chicks as they go there often to party and I can't find the posts.
Insomnia got mixed reviews if I remember correctly and it was pitted against Spicy and Climas which instead you guys advised against.
I might have gotten Khao San and Kowsan mixed up (ie: they might be the same place) I'm hoping you guys can clear that up for me.

Bottom line is I'm looking for the funnest possible experience while visiting a new place, once the alcohol gets flowing I'll have no problem enjoying myself but I'd really like to hear a veteran's perspective on the BKK matter.

Well, I would first like to say I am incredibly jealous of you for visiting bangkok.

In terms of living, I think it is KEY that you find an apartment in bkk vs. hostel or guesthouse. One unfortunate thing you will find is that a lot of normal girls there do not like hooking up with people that are just visiting. I did see it happen, but it makes it a lot more difficult. This should not be an issue because there are a number of reasonably priced serviced apartments (look on Agoda), or you could find something on airbnb (after doing both I prefer serviced apartments because they clean and have a few other desirable amenities and have similar prices). These places will also be more guest friendly. If you are looking to spend around $50 a night I can be of help to you (I stayed in a nice serviced apartment in Thong Lor), and if you are with more people you could likely drop that lower easier.

In terms of game there, if you are able to, I would come up with a story about something you are doing there so you do not come across as a tourist. Also it helps to say that you live there and are not going to leave soon. I realize lying kind of sucks, but if you want normal girls it helps immensely. A lot of times what I would say is that I was a student that was there learning about the language and culture and was not sure when I was going home (which was more like a half lie) because I felt more comfortable saying that - sometimes if they said where I was studying I would name a university in bangkok. This will help because the girls will put down their shields and you will have a better chance of hooking up with them.

Khao San and Kowsan are the same thing. I like the area but it definitely hit or miss and for someone in your age group I think it is a good place to go out. You said you wanted to have a good time and Khao San is basically where most of the younger foreigners go to get absolutely smashed and most are very friendly. In terms of girls, one good thing about the area is you can hook up with hot girls of many different cultures. Further, many of the younger thai girls that like foreigners go out there. That is a double edged sword though - a lot of thai pros and semi pros also like to go to khao san for that reason. Also, the ratios are not always good there (but honestly that can happen at RCA and thong lor too). Overall, I just liked it because unlike a lot of other thai clubs, you are not really a minority and most girls (or even guys) you meet will be down to talk with you and pretty much all thai girls that go there want to meet foreigners (unfortunately though some are prostitutes). A lot of times if you go out in RCA or Thong Lor especially, the girls are not as receptive to foreigners (so social circle game is more important). Another nice thing about the area is that its a lot cheaper than other thai clubbing areas.

In terms of other areas to hit up for someone in your age group I strongly recommend RCA and MAYBE Thong Lor. Rca is where a lot of normal thai girls and college students go to party along with some foreigners. I found it is a lot easier to get numbers than ons's there. If you have a group of friends I would just go there and get a bottle and table. Also, Thong Lor is easily the area with the hottest thai girls (its considered more upscale than RCA) and you will meet very few foreigners. Although Thong Lor has hotter girls, the girls there are also a lot more difficult - especially if you are a foreigner. I befriended some connected club promoters there later in my trip and I still had trouble pulling there (I think in total I had one ons there and 2 numbers that turned into lays - and I also got blown out of more sets there which was rare at other places).

In terms of night game though it's more difficult to get ons's from girls. For most normal girls I would try to get numbers and get them on a date which I had a 90% lay rate from. If you do get a ons it will likely happen from an after hours club and you will have to deal with quite a few semi-pros if you go to a non-thai after-hours joint although shoring is definitely possible. Thai after hours places include scratch dogs (windsor hotel), Safehouse (thong lor by escobar and funky), and whip (Thong Lor). These places had few prostitutes and a lot of normal girls but also girls were often defensive around foreigners and spoke less english (especially at safehouse and whip). Spicy, Insomnia, and Climax (i do not remember going there), is where mostly foreigners go to party. They are basically Khao san on steroids. You meet a lot of pros and semi-pros there, but you can also find girls that just like foreigners. These clubs, like khao san, were nice because everyone was more friendly towards foreigners.

Also I would highly recommend you make a profile on thai friendly. It is very easy to meet girls in bkk on there and if you have a solid back story on why you are there (remember you do not want to be seen as a tourist) and a few good pictures, you can get them on a date and once you have them 1 on 1 its pretty easy to close. Honestly, by the end of my trip I had transitioned most of my energy away from night game to thai friendly game (and got more than half of my lays from there).

Also I almost forgot, but I would only go to soi cowboy for the novelty - it is famous and a fun place to go. From the few times I went it seemed like solely a red light district and ONLY had pros/maybe semi pros (honestly have any of you other guys met normal girls there?).

The apartment is key to your entire game if you want to do non-pros.. This can not be emphasized enough.. And you don't need mad cash for this in BKK. My swag apartment with two rooms, + kitchen was 50USD /night. I'm sure I could have negotiated a better rate had I stayed longer.. Considering your age I don't knowthink thaifriendly is as worthwhile for you.

If I was in your age I'd just hit up anything in a high school uniform since that's telegraohing their age (something that's otherwise very hard to tell for a Westerner).

Ya man, thai friendly is amazing - I probably hooked up with over 10 girls just from there when I was in bkk. I am still getting around 2 messages a day from girls on there even though on my profile I say that I have gone back to New York.... given how hot some of these girls are though I really wish I was still in bkk.

I second the day game part. That is one thing I wish I would have done more of while there - I think I got maybe 1 number doing this my whole time there. You see a ton of hot girls walking around everywhere, especially in the malls. The only thing that sucks is they often roll in packs and sometimes there english is not very good.

To summarise anyway...
Get an apartment or hotel. I used hotel room and had no problem with girls, I either said I was still looking for an apartment or I preferred the hotel as someone cleaned my room every day and it had a pool. Didn't cause me any problems. I said I was living in BKK and worked online.

Your same night lays will be low unless you deal with pros / semi pros. You need to go the dating route if you want one night stands. Create a profile on Thai Friendly, Tagged, POF or OKCupid, stick some cool photos up and a basic profile. Mass send out a simple message to all cute girls and you'll end up with more numbers than you know what to do with, get a local SIM on arrival and mass text your number. Your phone will ring off the hook and you'll have dates lined up for weeks to come. I banged 5 out of 6 girls I met in my first week by doing this.

Khoa San is the same as Kowsan (just different spellings of it in English, it's pronounced Kowsan) and Kowsan is in an area known as Banglumpoo. Kowsan is the backpacker street, cheap and basic accommodation, backpacker orientated bars, cheap crappy food and stalls selling tacky tshirts and other garbage. You get some farang hunting girls and groups of students from the nearbye unis partying here. In the wider area there are bars and clubs which are predominately Thai but they aren't necessarily good for picking up, I prefer to take dates to these places, it was near my hotel too so that played a big part. It's disconnected from the rest of the city, far away from Sukhumvit, the sky train, the main party areas and there's not much in the way of public transport there so it's overcrowded and slow buses, taxis looking to rip off tourists or you walk 15 minutes to the khlong (canal boat). You'd be better off somewhere on the skytrain probably though Kowsan worked well for me. Depends what you want.

Pretty sure no one said any of those places were easy to hook up. RCA can be difficult depending on the club you go to and the night. Route 66 seemed to be the best choice but still don't think many guys were getting consistent one night stands from there, you'll get numbers and have to play the dating game which you seem to be against. Rooftop is a live music bar on Kowsan Road (at least the only Rooftop I know) and is full of backpackers and not really a place to pick up though I'm sure you could get a backpacker girl, she'll probably be dressed like shit and have no make up on though. Sala Sod, never heard of it. The Club is dreadful, it's 90% white guys, a few backpacker girls and even less thai girls. You take your eye off a girl for one second and someone will have swooped in. It's a shitty club though you can possibly pick up a farang hunter girl who could turn out to be a pro. Hard to tell in there.

Soi Cowboy is the red light district. It's go go bars, show bars, table dancing etc. All the girls are for sale, it's full of old, dodgy, sex tourists and there's no normal thai girls or guys there. It's interesting to see once or twice but not somewhere you go to hook up unless you just want to pay for it.

I have fun going out to clubs in Thailand but it wasn't a good way to get one night stands. If I went out on a date with a girl, had drinks with her I had about a 90% chance of her ending up in my bed. Easiest way to get dates is go on the dating sites or day game. Clubs usually led to getting a load of numbers or dealing with pros which meant spending a lot of money for basically nothing.

Thanks AlphaTravel, I was really hoping for your contribution to this. I realize I'm asking a lot of questions but thats directly proportional to the varieties of offers Bangkok has to offer, anyways summing them up was great. I must have confused myself over the different clubs and the ease of hookups, now that I know I'll make sure to check out Route 66. My ideal budget would be less than what NewToPUA suggested ($50/ night in apt.). As far as the thread merging goes I feel like claryfying and condensing all of what you guys said in 12 posts in a few ones works better but thats obviously up to the mods. Again, thanks a lot for helping me out here, I feel like I have a basic grasp of how BKK nightlife, venues and game works.

Agree mainly with what's been said; here's my take:

-Hit the middle-class clubs for good nights out and numbers from girls - RCA (Route, Slim)
-Soi 11 clubs have been surprisingly good... Bed, Qbar (yes, its good now), Nest. Only downer is price
-There ARE some cool late night places - Mixx - my fave, Scratchdog - decent, Wip - heard good things
-Insomnia is an OK fallback Mon-thurs - BIG and I have noticed sufficient non-pro groups there
-Thaifriendly and other sites for easy dates and same night lays
-skip Soi Cowboy, it's skanky full-time prostitutes. 7% have HIV, not fun
-Khao san is fun for a few nights out - but you might wanna stay on Sukhumvit, nearer clubs, amenities, skytrain etc
-Apartment is a great idea
-Bring Condoms!!!! Thai ones are crap, even the good brands from home are made here with lower quality. Bring enough from home, use only those.
-Avoid any aggressiveness, confrontation or drugs. You are 100% fine if you avoid them and will be safer than if you were in a western city - but messing with any of them in Thailand = playing russian roulette. 100% avoid.
-Food is awesome. AVOID dodgy tourist places with no-one eating there (food poisoning = not fun). Street food with lots of Thai people eating there is fine. Favourite places for a feast: Thong Lor Soi 38, Davon Korean BBQ Thong Lor, the Buffets at CentralWorld Mall (Korean, Japanese, Western), Best foodcourt by far: Terminal 21 mall. Sunrise Tacos is also consistently good, and 24 hrs, including DELIVERY. ( also http://www.chefsxp.com for deliveries, from many restaurants in central bkk). In general, eat where the Thais eat, and you will be good.

Wow. Even I am excited after that, and I am still living here, lol. It's a pretty fucking awesome city. Enjoy it, it will be a vivid experience.

Great advice on bringing condoms from home. Not only because they are crap quality in Thailand but they are also very small and tight. I can barely get them on and I don't have a big dick. Due to them being so small they'll burst easy or fall off mid sex. Even Boots the Chemist which is a UK pharmacy chain that they also have in Thailand in the tourist areas doesn't have any bigger sizes than the standard Thai ones. They really are no good.

I second eating the street food / places where locals eat. It's extremely cheap, usually tasty, and a good way to taste real Thai food. The restaurants that cater to tourists tame everything down for the farangs so it's less spicy and flavoursome. Small local cafes / restaurants catering to locals are also good and often not much more expensive than the street stalls. The only thing is that Thais don't really differentiate between breakfast, lunch and dinner like we Westerners do, they tend to eat rice or noodles dishes at every meal. It got tiresome for me, I can only eat so many rice and noodles with stir fried meat and spicy gravy dishes without being sick to death of it.

Richie, what is Mixx like? I haven't been but was told to avoid it as it was full of pros trying to snag a rich business man in town for a short time. Didn't seem like my scene.

Lots of Pros in Mixx, yes, maybe 70% or more. But enough are not, for it to be good. The pros cluster together on the outskirts of the main room & at the bar, and the girls actually having fun, dancing etc hang out more in the center, dancefloor and also the 2nd room at the back. On top of that it's an awesome interior, good music, etc.

They actually get alot of western models there too - guys and girls who hang out at the back bar in the 2nd room. They get some drinks deals or something, so there's always some cute white girls at the back if you're sick of thais (and yes they are models, not pros lol, although there are western pros there too).
