My company makes money selling backlinks. It's quite decent money and the thing is quite easy to scale once you have the right processes in place. It's an almost perfect lifestyle business.

On the flip side, I would love to be getting into something that will have more impact and more opportunity for growth. Looking to get into the financial sector / banking within the next few years.

I buy the backlinks for my site. True passive income once you have a site built up over months/years.

Shoot me a PM I was looking for somewhere to get backlinks.

I've been reselling things locally over Facebook marketplace and kijiji(craigslist) lately. Ive made a solid chunk of cash money.. just takes some time to carve out the profitable niches. I have one particular item that I get 5+ of a week sometimes for 140-200$ and resell for 350-400. Posting everything is really tedious for me but I'm trying to learn to enjoy it. Does anyone else do this? or have any suggestions on things that sell well locally or where to source items to Sell?

My primary way is my full time job as a Senior UX Designer--basically I design internal software apps/tools/sites for a very large Financial Services company.

Second way: Stock market investment, I also have other investments but they aren't generating an income stream rather just wealth-building.

as side hustles, I've been earning interest income through lending out money on peer to peer websites. Ive also found some websites that allow you to invest in property (share of ownership) and provide you with a rental income stream each month

I work a Sales job at a rental car company. Make about 40K a year doing that, but it's kinda slavery. I work 50 hours a week. I also Free lance video edit for mobile marketing companies and often churn out videos that only take me an hour and I make 300-400 a pop for them. Really puts things in perspective. I can make half of my weekly paycheck from the comfort of my own home within an hour or so.

For making solid money and getting paid to travel, I'd recommend jobs in strategic sourcing.

Almost all product-based companies have positions in this (consumer electronics, industrial equipment, automotive, etc). Basically any big manufacturer is so globally integrated now, that they all have suppliers and contract manufacturers around the world (especially China) and they need people to manage it all.

I'v been doing this for about 7 years. Currently working for a consumer electronics company with all of our contract manufacturing in Asia (too small of a world to name the company here). Work sends me to China about 3 times per year to meet with suppliers, deal with problems, etc. Then after wrapping up a couple weeks of work, I typically take a week of vacation time while over there.
By tagging a vacation on to each work trip, I've been to China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam, and Japan.

If you search for jobs in "strategic sourcing" you will see a lot of this kind of stuff. Typically any kind of engineering or business background will get you in the door. The pay is usually pretty good, but the real value is in the connections you make (i.e. rich factory owners in Asia).

It's not a fully location-independent or self-employed gig, but I call it the "high paid waiting room" while I work on a side hustle [Image: wink.gif]

Just my $.02 here, hopefully this helps someone on the forum!

Real estate.

I’m part of a holdings group. We do very good returns buying undervalued properties, renovating them and then using air bnb to double and triple returns.

I’m actually looking for investors right now. 6% back on initial investment plus 50% equity in the property. DM If anyone wants more details.

What city are you located in? What city is the real estate in?

Writing for lazy college students is pretty neat. I am doing my internship right now and at night i take a couple of hours to fulfill orders. 6 bucks per page. 600-1000 per month.

I've had the idea that these sorts of jobs existed but never really could pin point it. Closest I found was being a buyer for produce companies, but a lot of that is done state side as much as it is overseas. I'll look into this, thanks!

You don't really give any clues on how to break into such an industry.
