Flaking is basically when you can't see a girl again for some unknown reason - only she knows it. If she gave you her phone number it's reasonable to assume she was at least interested in seeing you again at that point in time. Or maybe, that's no longer a reasonable assumption. If the consensus is that a phone number or other contact information is basically worthless then what's the point in getting it?
