I hear a lot about "call her, do not text" but it is rare that I hear any specifics after that. Obviously if you plan on meeting the girl face to face it should be pretty easy to have a conversation over the phone. There are a million variables to this which would change how the conversation would go so I will provide a basic scenario that we all run in to where the chance of flaking is higher than normal.
Scenario: You met a girl briefly and talked to her for no more then 3 minutes. She was in a rush and had to go for whatever reason. Very little kino (if any) was involved in the interaction. You got her number.
Do not listen to my advice, I am a beginner. This is what I do.
-I do not send a "this is me, this is my number" type text within an hour of the initial meeting like some people advise here. I want our next conversation to be verbal.
-I call her the next day or at maximum the day after. If I got her number on a Thursday that means no booking dates for Fri/Sat but I would still call her around 7pm and try to book for Sunday to Thursday time slot.
-The call. My average call is around 15 minutes but occasionally I talk up to 45min if the vibe is good and I think I can just invite her over. The call is around 5 minutes if I have talked to the girl longer then the scenario I describe. I start off with small talk and segue to little jokes and light flirting. I am trying to screen for DTFness and building attraction which is hard to do over text. Basically we are trying to get laid and the faster and cheaper we do this the better. Ive been using the line "are you in a going out or staying in kind of mood?" when I want to end the phone call.
If the girl says "it doesn't matter" you always go for the "my place" option. I like to suggest how I need help with this awesome dish I always wanted to cook. The only time a girl has literally said "stay in" I had perceived as a huge slut already. She was.
If she says going out then its always drinks at place(s) that are logistically advantageous to you.
-Book the day and time at the end of the call. I do not call or text her again unless the gap between our phone call and meet up time is over 3 days in which case I text the night before. I don't call again just because I don't want to be dragged into a long conversation a day before we meet.
If its under 3 day gap I text her 3 hours before our date about how I have to push back the meeting time 20 minutes just so I have a reason to confirm without it seeming like I am confirming.
I find that the longer I initially talk to her on the phone the greater chance I have of convincing her to come over instead of going out. If she doesn't want to talk on the phone or cuts the call very short there is a very high chance she is not interested in you and will flake/not commit unless she suggests a specific time to call her again.
