Wow HBO is the only station worth watching on TV.

So how long do we have to wait for the next season?

I agree HBO has the best shows. Check out AMC tho... Mad Men, Breaking Bad, etc. Peers in quality IMO.

Also you can dig up old HBO shows: Sopranos (the original "good" series), Six Feet Under, and The Wire are all top notch.

Also, dig up "Rome" if you can.

How did Stannis get back to his kingdom without getting captured?

The fall from grace of Tyrion was painful. Just when I thought his power was rising.

Stannis lives on Dragonstone which is an island, so he caught one of the few undamaged ships home.

I've read all the books but I still dig this show. For me that says something, normally if I've already read it I don't like shows/movie adaptations that much.

Season 2 last episode on last scene with white walkers there was a zombie on a horse staring at the fat man. Was that John Snow's uncle ?

I don't think so. He was in pieces basically if I remember it right, his skin was gone or peeled off in places.

Jaqen the assassin is badass. I wanted Arya to go train with him.

Anyone watch Game of Thrones? - Andreas - 06-08-2012

The way i see it now, Joffrey is gonna be ass fucked from all sides. It seems that every Stark has formed an alliance.

Arya is probably going to the "faceless" assasin to be raised as assasin too.

Catelyn is probably going to form an alliance with lord Baylish whatever his name is.

John Snow found the kingdom on the other side of the wall.

Robb stark is still alive and married a hot chick.

The Targaryans are going to buy stuff with gold and raise dragons and on top of that Stannis wants to make a comeback with his hot girlfriend by using magic.

I haven't read the books but i'm fairly sure that the Lannisters are fucked

The only problem with the show is that it will take years for things to be resolved.

Anyone watch Game of Thrones? - Excelsior - 06-08-2012

I won't spoil anything, but I will say this for those who haven't read ahead: season three is going to be very interesting.

You will see some incredibly dark events that will tear your heart up, more so than anything you've seen so far.
You will subsequently witness some incredibly positive events and resolutions that may very well have you cheering and jumping for joy in a way no part of the tv series has made you do.

It will be well worth the wait-I am very excited to see this part of the series come to life.

Problem with the show is that the shock value of the first season has gone. I'm ready for any character to die at any time so I don't get invested in any of them.

Still a great show though.

Athlone ^^ Awesome!

I forgot to mention Boardwalk Empire. I also think that show is fantastic. HBO really does have the balls to kill off main characters, but it probably wasn't more evident that the season 2 finale of Boardwalk.

Call me crazy but I think there is a small chance that Darmody lives. He got shot like 5-6 times, including the face, but it is theoretically survivable. I've yet to see a show make it seem 100% that somebody has been killed, only to have that character make a recovery.

As grim as it sounds I think about Gabby Giffords. She was shot almost point blank right in the head and has pulled through.

Any other takes? Sorry to derail the thread but GOT is gone for awhile, Boardwalk is coming back soon!

I haven't been able to get into boardwalk empire due to the sole fact of Steve Buscemi's teeth. Only have heard good things about it too.

There's a real problem with doing period costume dramas: it's hard to get product placement to provide needed cash during production. It's not like the knights in Game of Thrones can suddenly start drinking Pepsi when they go over budget.

Still don't know what to think about Lysol's product placement in Boardwalk Empire.

Good episode last night, especially the last scene. It's hard to sometimes follow along with all these subplots but overall I enjoy it. That fire queen needs to be bitch slapped.

Anyone watch Game of Thrones? - Teedub - 04-15-2013

Fucking love GOT, shame they had to kill of Drogo and Ned, although the second season was awesome too, without them.

Not seen any of S3 yet, might wait until the end of this season and watch them all in one go.

Edit: It's got me really interested in the War of the Roses, which was a medieval war in England which the books are based on.

That guy went too far last night, he didn't have to chop the guy's hand off
That's just fucked up, but he had it coming though.

aye the kingslayer without his sword is no slayer.

Wonder what hottie Danerys is upto with those slavers, she's traded a dragon, but I reckon she's just gonna burn the city with her dragons as the soldiers are now under her command

Anyone watch Game of Thrones? - Handsome Creepy Eel - 04-16-2013

I am kind of disappointed with the 3rd season. Acting seems a bit wooden, and there are many irrelevant (but not humorous or insightful) side-scenes. Dunno. Maybe I'm judgemental because I've been disappointed with book #5 as well so I'm viewing all of it as doom and gloom now. But let's wait and see. Even with these feelings about it, it is still one of the best historical/fantasy series in the world, right next to Borgias.

Still, many events are going to be huge surprises here, just like the ... EDITED: well, you didn't use spoiler tags either! I don't even know if we have them on this forum! [Image: tongue.gif]

Anyone watch Game of Thrones? - bojangles - 04-16-2013

man spoiler that shit lad!

Thing is like Roosh said last year, this series will last fucking years, the geezer has not even written all the books yet, no-one knows how the fucking thing ends, is there happily ever after? Do the dragons come back and start a new reign of fire.
