My strategy is pretty basic. I click through pics to see who looks good. My filter is set for worldwide, with age set mid-30s to mid-40s. When I find someone I like, I click on the profile and see what's in there. Does she know English? If not, is she open to communicating with men that don't speak her language? If she's open to writing back and forth and using google translate, it says a lot about her openness. I even have a couple of chicks on MSN chat that don't mind me having to use translator. I see how many friends she has. If she has several hundred, she's an attention whore and I don't bother. Chicks like that aren't really interested in any substantive communication. I look at the kind of men she has as friends, to get an idea of what she's attracted to. I'm black, so if she doesn't have any brothers among her friends, it's probably a no go. I may send a wink or a tag and see if I get a nibble, but don't invest too much. Some women will openly state what they're looking for in terms of race and/or nationality in their tag lines, so that saves you time.
I DO thoroughly read profiles, and try to come up with some kind of good introductory message. A lot of dudes are lame with their initial communication, so I try to set myself apart. I LOVE latin women, so I focus a lot on South America and the Dominican Republic. I have a handful in Europe. I keep a small friends list, with only 41. 32 of them are foreign - I pretty much don't use it for American bitches, and I don't look for anyone local in NYC. Of course, I like chicks with lots of pics, hopefully with some full-body shots to give you a good idea of what you're working with. One Dominicana I'm working has enough pics for me to see her weight progression over the course of the past 2-3 years (some pics are date-stamped). As sexy as she still is, I can see she's gained a ton of weight. I'd still hit, but it's disappointing to see the poundage she's gained. At the current rate, she'll be unfuckable shortly.
The best thing about Tagged is it's a free-for-all. It's whatever you want - something serious, dating, networking, friends. I usually pass over anyone that's looking only for serious relationships, but those that are open to other things allow you more room to work your magic. I've friended chicks that I'm solid with on FB, others I have on MSN or Yahoo Messenger. I have a couple in the Netherlands on BBM. Naturally, it takes some time and patience to work the online thing, but I have to say that I'm satisfied with the results of gotten. I've gotten bangs, solidified some friendships (future bangs hopefully), and laid some decent groundwork for other future bangs, or at least some international lodging. And I'm not only working chicks ON my friends list. I communicate with probably a couple dozen more regularly just to check in. As long as they respond in some way (wink, tag, message, luv) I try to keep it going. If a chick stops communicating, I delete her and try to add someone new and keep it moving.
