What happened to Roosh?

I was a fan of him and I'm sad that he completely disappeared from web. What happened to him? Does he have a new job? I hope he's fine.

His face became the focal point of everything from pickup to red pill.
That means have a constant target on you, everywhere you go.
It gets old, and when tragedy struck, I think he needed a change.
Wish him the best, glad we got this place.

American Pilgrim was already recent book title about evangelist Billy Graham.  Roosh is no Billy Graham!

Roosh continued to write authoritatively about theological trivia like aerial tollhouses.  He gradually realized his narcissism was incompatible with his religion.  He wiped the WayBack Machine web archive of his old blog, stopped his YouTube podcast, quit blogging, and closed his forum.  The final step was closing his blog.

I presume he has a job and lives with his mother.  D.C. is expensive, and he can't live on savings forever.

Do you think his religious conversion was not sincere?

extremophiles are fervent in whatever their current belief is. And they want to tell other people about it. ... The common thread between ... wannabe monk, and YouTube pick-up artist—was a psychological need, a desire to be respected, to be listened to, to be a preacher. It was the role he wanted. The subject matter that he preached about came second.

In other words, Roosh sincerely worships himself.

To be fair, trolling and puerile philosophy were his favorite hobbies.  So eliminating his web presence is a big sacrifice.  Is this Christian humility, or just hiding his humiliating past?  Will he switch ideas and reemerge, or just find a boring job and get married?

Which bloggers in the manosphere do you prefer and recommend following, and which ones do you find less appealing from your perspective?

The Manosphere is pretty dead.  It was a reaction to feminism, but specifically to the internet that accelerated and exposed dating trends.  Specifically, opportunistic dating, sugar dating, Only Fans, and dual standards of Alpha Fucks, Beta Bucks.  Now it is common knowledge that women date f*ckboys on the side.  If they are not booty-texting you, then they are texting somebody else.

I don't see any new content.  For old stuff, see:

Houllebecq's Whatever.

Patrice O'Neal (on Youtube).  Corey Holcomb has some funny and relevant perspective too.

https://marginalrevolution.com/marginalr...ormed.html

https://therationalmale.com/the-best-of-...-year-one/, especially "Just Get It" and "The Medium IS the Message".

https://web.archive.org/web/202400000000...itches.com

I just liked mundane blogs that are mostly gone, like

https://theprivateman.wordpress.com/

https://dalrock.wordpress.com/ for a Christian perspective.

The whole point was regular guys walked around in a fog, confused by the modern dating scene.  Yes, women were confused too.  The difference is that men literally paid the bills for all the dysfunction and ambiguity.  Eventually, men commiserated and shared patterns.  They learned you get much better results by setting boundaries and not overinvesting.

I think people are forgetting the old seduction forums. They were the biggest pua thing about 14 years ago before spam took over.
Mystery has a forum with archives somewhere.

Frankly, other than the zoomers being chodes, nothing else has really changed except the same zoomers never learned how to write, a consequence of all the facebook, instagram blog-type sites out there, that catered to the lowest common denominator. These formats are useless to exchange and retrieve information in a multilateral format. The only half-way house to this compared to the old forum format, is Reddit, which is a censurous cesspool without the search funciton.

Those seduction forums sucked; autistic incels teaching stupid routines.  I already linked to Mystery saying he got laid less than 9 times per year (better than Roosh).

Mystery published a book widely pirated on the web, so there is no need to search disorganized old USENET archives.

On the plus side, this forum is more busy since RVF closed down.

The forum has potential to come back to life, if trolls like Pag would be banned. He really adds no value and any serious posters will stay away as long as he keeps trolling every thread.

Seeking a return to normalcy, he deleted his entire online presence, leaving many without a platform for discussion. Fortunately, this community provides a refuge. Yet, curiosity persists about gaming, relationships, and travel.

Where have all the members gone? Is there another forum or some sort of online group that they are on now?

hehe, you must have been living under a rock for the last 5 years. When Roosh's sister died, Roosh found god and turn RVF into a religious forum.

Thx for letting me know, is roosh active on that forum? Is he active anywhere? The last thing I found of him on the internet was a group podcast with some orthodox people on YouTube about a year ago. What does he even do now and where does he live? I remember him writing that he lives in EE now but he never specified with country.

He left the internet last year, moved out into the USA country, found god and now has a new job.

People say he is trying to delete his past by removing RVF, Rooshv.com etc...

Yeah he hates his past, I thought he lived in Romania or something surprised he is still in the US. I also wonder what kind of job he has given his controversial past.
