RVF has been my second home for about 10 years. A place where I can feel sane from clown world.

"After 15 years of operation, I've decided to close the forum, a decision I've been contemplating for a while and about which I informed the moderators a few days ago. No reason I give will be sufficient for those who enjoy the forum, but I'm ready to move on from public internet life. I have a regular job now and want to live a normal Orthodox life. This forum is a hinderance to that end.

The forum will be closed to new posts and threads on Sunday, October 29, 2023 and will remain online as an archive for a time. You may post until then (while still following the rules). I will not sell the forum or allow the domain to be used by anyone else. For any spinoff forums that are created, use them at your own risk (I maintain the right to ban any external links that are antithetical to the Orthodox faith).

I know this forum is a central place for many people to get their news and discuss ideas with others, especially while the world is facing escalating conflicts, so forgive me if this decision upsets you. Thank you for everyone who has contributed to this forum, especially the senior posters and moderators @Nineteen84 and @DanielH. If it is blessed, I may return in the future to publishing content in some form, but I don't foresee starting a forum again.

I will miss the forum. For some reason I’ve lost my ability to reply and send messages and have no idea why. 

It contained a lot of good information about political events as well as others.

Thank you. This forum is helpful in knowing where to travel to before things get hard, but I’m not interested in short term relationships and banging, would like something more long term.

I’ll use both.

I will miss the forum. For some reason I’ve lost my ability to reply and send messages and have no idea why. 

It contained a lot of good information about political events as well as others.

Blake, Roosh might have disabled replies and messages pending the closing of the forum.  I just checked and did not see recent new posts on the publicly accessible page.

Or he might have soft-banned you.  He sometimes did that to avoid putting a line through a good member's name.  He just quietly let them login without actually participating.

Thank you but I don’t know why he would ban me as I’ve done nothing wrong.

I have also lost the ability to look at the topics. The only topic I’m able to see is the one about it closing. The group is telling me I have insufficient privileges to reply there also.

It’s saying my account is awaiting confirmation and is offering me the opportunity to resend the confirmation email. I have no idea why I’m getting that message. The old roosh forum is saying the same message. I hope there is an explanation. 

I hope I’m not the only one getting the message.

Same thing happened to me on the new forum. They are doing manual checks at the moment. It took me less than a day to have access to the new forum after registering.

Never mind about the new forum. Users going from the religious rooshvforum will have been brainwashed into compliance on posts for the past 4 years in order not to be banned. They will hardly know what the original forum was about anymore. I want to thank Citreon a bunch for putting this place online and all his work
