Advise on Gaming San Antonio, TX this week

Unexpectedly I'm maybe in San Antonio this week. Most the posts on the forum look several years old.

Best places to game/ and for logistics/ bar-hopping? Nights: tonight (maybe), thurs, friday.

About me: 22, game beginner (hundred plus sets past few months). Been gaming in smaller town (100k-250k), first time gaming in big city for about a year. Style: casual/preppy. Race: white.

San Antonio is hardly a big city.

I don't have a bunch of recent data but I think if you post around the riverwalk area that is where most of the action was happening when I went.

The issue is the city is hella spread out so logistics were kind of a pain.

Ceasar is kind of spot on, I live in Austin, but have spent a lot of time in SA as I have an office there as well. The riverwalk area is always busy with tourist and such, locals don't hand there much as parking and traffic downtown is always a mess. SA is really spread out and there are pockets all over that have a different feel. If you have a car to get around the La Cantera area (I10&1604) is a hot area to hang, the Univ of Texas SA (35K students) is also in this area. I usually like to hang in the Stone Oak area (281 & 1604) as its the wealthier area of SA.

Bottom line on SA, this town is 85% Hispanic/Latino, its also seems to attract over weight/unhealthy people like mad, it has to be the fattest city in the USA, it also is a very big Military town with several large Military bases in and around SA.

Well it is a million plus so that counts in my book, keeping in mind i've been in a city of 100000 plus for a while. I haven't been to the river walk in 10 years, but that's probably a good starting point.

Spread out, can it somehow be worse than dallas or houston or no? Not really an issue for me if it is. I just need a couple of decent spots to check out for nightgame.

Cool. I will have a car when I'm back. Thanks for the info.... any bars? I was looking at girls on tinder, etc, the place obviously looks heavily hispanic but I have no prob with them... although there are some cute white university girls.
