In my experience it's very hard to pull before midnight or so. I've even tried going out cold at 1:30am - it's much easier when everyone is hammered already. Most likely all the male attention will go in your favor since it will have pumped up their state, unless they were seriously annoyed.
Interesting. My experience is almost the total opposite. Aside from occasional luck, I rarely pull a completely new girl at last call. Most often with same night pulls, I will meet a girl early-ish in the night and stick with her for some time before going home, or alternatively, meet her early and then come back to her later in the night (at which point she is familiar with me).

I actually prefer going to clubs early because often times girls will show up early and leave around midnight depending on the city. Its low probability to wait until last call and slimmer pickings of the drunkest, slutties girls. The classier girls won't get too drunk and will leave by midnight. If you want a ONS, then wait until last call.
But if you want to meet the hottest girls and get their phone numbers, then there's higher quality girls earlier and before midnight. Besides, you should rely on getting drunk as the basis for game. You should be able to game girls sober and not rely on a drunkened state, unless maybe in the colder countries where women need beer to loosen up.

Women tend to show up at night venues before the men do. If you go early, you beat the sausage rush and can then get some comfort going and revisit her later or build up energy upward to then close early. The key is if you are rolling early, you both can leave before the last call. IMO, if she wants to leave with you before the last call, then you're likely getting the bang.
When you're a beginner or just more prone to sensory overload, it's good to come early. I say this because there's less people and things are a lot more lax which let's you warm up to the environment.

So true, if there are not hot girls, start chatting up the waitresses and bartenders. They might sleep with you if they are single or they will give you free drinks and act as wingmen to help introduce you to the other women at the bar. It improves your social proof and social standing to be friends with all the workers, especialy if you become a regular.

I like going early if its free or before they start charging an entrance fee. Try to stay around and get a wristband or stamp on the hand so you can leave and then come back later without going through the line. Some clubs are restaurants so go there early, grab a beer or appetizer, then if its dead, get the wristband and come back in an hour when it gets full.

I agree Early is not the best. The girls that go from my experience in a college bar or early 20's are there with there friends and social circle not drunk and most likely leave early before 12 not looking to hook up. I have been at 9-930 to get the free cover and open bar and this has been my experience. If you go out at like 11-1130 then would be your best chance until 1-130. In my city bars close at 3, and the women in that time range are more likely drinking a bit and would be in a better situation to hook up. As far as building social proof etc with the bartending staff that may help a bit and give you something to do while you wait to approach ( I do it) but I really don't think most women are paying attention lol and it is mostly a numbers game.

Why early OR late. Smack bang in the middle with a preference towards early! That way you get more exposure. This means familiarity. As the night progresses you get hotter and more desirable as they watch you. And they DO watch you if you've opened them early on and they're receptive.
I've always found getting in late to be harder work if you don't know anyone at the venue because people have already (subconsciously) settled into groups and you are now the new outsider. Could be good but usually is not.

I pulled a girl while in Vegas a couple weeks ago within the first hour of entering the club. That was the first time in at least 5 yrs that happened tbh
I find going early and doing a round - talking to different sets helpful. When the night progresses, you can hit on them with a second round so that they have registered some memory of you.
