You and her are on talking over instant messaging. She wrote something and you have something to answer, maybe even a great answer. You want to write it and then she's "typing". You always wait to receive her message and get new information, or you just send your answer?
IM: She's typing. you have an answer but she's typing. always wait?
Belongs in the newbie forum.
My answer? Depends. If I have something to say and I wanna say it now, I send. If it can wait 30 more seconds, I wait because I want to hear what she has to say without me "interrupting"

I generally don't wait, the exception is if she says something dumb, in which case I don't entertain her.
Always unload a good answer quickly.

Definitely belongs in the newbie forum section, specifically in this thread. Despite it being for "text messaging" there's almost no difference between text messaging nowadays and any form of instant messaging so I'd put it there.
Surprised to see the concensus being to send the message sooner rather than later. Generally unless the impact of the message or it being funny is predicated on the speed of sending it, then you should wait to see what she says. Holding back on message speed being one of the fundamentals of that thread.
