Cleveland Browns deny report that Condoleezza Rice is in the running for head coaching gig:

Dorsey issued the statement after a report from ESPN's Adam Schefter said the team was hoping to interview Rice.

"Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice is a great leader, possesses the highest possible character and also happens to be a Browns fan," Dorsey said. "I have the utmost respect and admiration for all she's accomplished and was honored to meet her for the first time earlier this season. Our coaching search will be thorough and deliberate, but we are still in the process of composing the list of candidates and Secretary Rice has not been discussed."

Rice is a longtime fan of the Browns. She joined owners Dee and Jimmy Haslam on the field in Oakland on Sept. 30 when the Browns were in town to play the Raiders.

Back to the real world. Bruce Arians has stated he’d come out of retirement for the CLE job. Also McCarthy in GB will most likely be fired at the end of this season. So there’s at least two real, legitimate head coaches that could be available.

He’s had an interesting career - college and pro. HOF worthy? There are those in (George Allen, Tony Dungy are two that come to mind) that didn’t win as much as Pete.

The second you realize professional sports is just a big business with various agenda driven guys behind the scenes (mostly profit driven, but sometimes some politics mixed in), you stop caring about even headlines such as this lol. I seriously need to wager money on a game to truly care about the outcome when it comes down to it.
