Hey Everyone I'm new to the forum and decided to get some advice on where to travel. First things first I want to go on vacation in late December to Early January and I'm stuck between going to Frankfurt/Heidelberg or Bangkok. I met some German girls online on Tagged so I have some on the ground contacts. However I find them flaky. In Bangkok I also met a couple girls and they're also flaky but cool. My money obviously goes further in Bangkok and the weather is warmer but I am afraid I will meet girls with STD's lol. I'll have a much nicer hotel in Bangkok and a less nice hotel in Germany plus colder weather. I have 15 days of vacation and want to make this memorable bc I'll be leaving from Afghanistan..I really appreciate all the advice

Germany or Thailand? Is that a question? Thailand, of course. It's nasty cold in Germany in December. Maybe rainy, if you are lucky snowy. And then Frankfurt? Not a very beautiful city to start with, unless you are into banking towers (okay, it has a good nightlife, I have to admit, and Heidelberg could also be nice, although the bars there close earrrly). In Thailand you have excellent weather and it's high season. STDs maybe more of an issue in Thailand but just use common sense and some protection. You'll definitely get more bang for the buck there.

Well I chose Thailand because its so cheap to have a good time, plus good weather..Germany because I met a few chicks there, I was considering Norway and Sweden but too expensive and I'm basing my choices on what I read on this forum

I'm German as well. So I can't say anything about Thailand. Asian girls are not my personal cup of tea. I have never gamed one in my life, and I am sure I never will.

So here are some things that come to my mind in regard to Germany:

- Female overweight problem. Yeah, unfortunately, we have a lot of fatties.
- Daygame preferable to Nightgame. This is certainly true of Germany. If you game at night, you will probably run into high bitch-shields of slender women, wheras you will get approached aggressively by overweight women.
- Overall Germany (especially that area you are focussing on) is a cool place to be. High standart of living. Very, very low risk of catching STDs. Most people speak English, especially in that area.
- Height. Now this is important. How tall are you? I would not recommend Germany for a guy shorter than 5ft10/5ft11.
- Quality of women is difficult to estimate, considering the special area. There are more foreigners living in Frankfurt than Germans. So you've got ladies from everywhere in the world. I got to know some really beautiful women from the Frankfurt-Heidelberg area. Especially in Heidelberg, due to the student population of educated middle/upper class background, the overweight epidemic might not be as urgent as in other parts of Germany.
- Prostitution is legal, safe, and cheap. You can bang a really good-looking girl for 30-50 Euros at some places.
- Most people in the Frankfurt-Heidelberg area like Americans. It's not like some bullshitters say here that you will get chased by hoardes of 10s before you get your passport stamped, but... they would rather react in a nice than in an unfriendly way when you tell them where you're from.
- Beautiful landscape in the Heidelberg/Neckar area.

If I were you, I would go to Germany. Give it a try.

If you go to Germany, go to Hamburg or Berlin at least. Frankfurt = meh.

With that said, I've spent 4-6 weeks in Germany and over three months in Thailand, and I'd say if you're looking to party and get laid, Thailand, hands down. Better cultural experience as well. And FAR cheaper.

You cant seriously recommend visiting Germany in late december to anyone. Its like the worst time of the year. Im german, im born and raised in Berlin and its fucking nice place, but NOT IN THE WINTER! Nothing going on outside, you'll freeze your balls off and most people walk around assfaced. Germany is nice from late april - early october and afterwards its basically shit.

That being said, Mighty M is right, the Heidelberg area is really nice scenery-wise, as is most of the south, like Konstanz/Bodensee or Freiburg, etc...while Frankfurt is mainly ugly and expensive.

I really like going to Germany, They have some fat girls, but then again, its very possible to find some phat girls.

they are well dressed, well make up, looks like the mix of slavic and western.
The only bad things I can find is: Very Pale Skin and the german language.

One thing about Thailand was the girls would want to know if you've been to Hollywood. Those poor girls think everything on t.v. is real. It doesn't make for stimulating conversation. If you only wanna think w/ your dick, then Thailand it is.

German girls I meet are generally intelligent, speak English among other languages, and can converse about history, politics, religion, ect. I find it rewarding to game girls with a higher level of intelligence. I'd rather connect on some level than just my dick.

Depends on where u are. The south is generally colder in winter than the north. To give u an idea, last winter which was quite brutal, lot of nights were like -5 °C to -10 °C in Berlin and thats in the north...

Germany isn't that cold in the winter. For December, in the Frankfurt-Heidelberg area, calculate with 5 Celsius / 40 Fahrenheit during the day on average.

8 hours of daylight in December (8-16 h), probably rain, maybe a little bit of snow mixed in.

It's not as cold as in Siberia but just not nice. The worst is this rainy cold weather which we seem to have quite a lot. It's just not fun outside and people seem quite depressed as well. I'd much rather prefer snow to that kind of weather but chances for snow are mixed in Germany as well.

Btw Berlin is not in the north (at least not the real north, which just starts around Hamburg )

Yeah, i know its not north north, but still kinda northish...As I said, last winter was nasty and very cold = not really recommendable for visiting imho. Obviously, Germany is not russia or the north pole, but german winter sucks, big time!

It it not as cold as Estonia or Russia, but it does get cold there and you WILL need winter clothes.

ON- I was wearing under armor cold weather gear as a base layer in Estonia and still couldn't hack it. When the locals starting running door to door holding their faces I knew it was time to leave. That weather is unforgivable.

@Boi, Gavin, MM- I can hack 32F/0c all day long. Germany has been low on my list due to the pussy factor, but I need to put that aside and go to appreciate the history, culture, people, and geography......AND BEER!

Yeah to that! Germany has a lot to offer in that respect. All BoiBoi and I are saying is to do yourself a favour and go when the weather is nice and not in the middle of the winter. Like right now we have a really great late summer (called "Altweibersommer" in German, literal translation would be "old wives summer", German is a great language, eh?). You should only come to Germany if you have an interest in German culture/geography as well....but again, in that case don't just visit Frankfurt and don't come during winter time.

I'm 6'1..more into European girls than Asians..although the weather makes a big impact on my traveling. Since there is a large Military presence in Germany I won't even be somewhat exotic there. I don't get a big thrill of paying for a girl to get laid, where's the fun in that? So Bangkok will be my choice..thanks for all the replies

They are still racist:
- No chance to get into the better clubs if you have brown skin, guess they don't like the immigrant Turks to hang around the local girls. Even with ID that shows you are American it was hard to get in. Once I saw group of 7-8 students which 2 of them were immigrants and the other all German, with 2 hot German girls- they could not get in either and later told me it cause of their immigrant friends.
- Once you could get inside you have no chance if you have brown skin and you are not tall. I remember approaching girls and without even listening to what I say just showed me a face that saying 'how you dare to approach me?', or even immediate "go away!"
I haven't encountered such behavior in no other place in the world.
It would me similar in bars and same or worse in 2nd and 3rd tier cities like Erfrut and Nirenberg.

3 Exceptions:
- Berlin is totally different, almost like another country, have good vibe and many foreigners.
- German girls which travel are usually nice characters and I had a success with them in... Thailand.
- High quality of working girls, you can get a beautiful(8-9) 21 years old Romanian/ Bulgarian / Czech girl in the legal brothels there for as low as 20-30 Euro(!), they also give very good service. For example the area near the main train station in Frankfurt.

You did not say anything about racism, which was admitted even by the Germans ("they wont let brown skin people in"), this was the main reason for the girls behavior I assume. I'm 5"8 which is not tall neither too short and regardless of my look, if I approach a girl in a nice gentle way I should not get that kind of response, and in Germany it happens a lot.
