Is 50 minutes too short to transfer at Tokyo-Narita for ANA?

I am looking into flights back from a visit to China. ANA has a great deal back to DC while changing planes at Tokyo-Narita, but I only get 50 minutes to transfer flights.

I've only been to Narita twice a long time ago. Is that cutting it too close? It certainly feels too close, though it appears that all ANA flights are from the same terminal. I get the feeling that I'm missing something.

Of course it is, what if the plane takes off 30 min late or if you get a seat in the back of the plan and it takes 30 minutes to get off the plane?

Same terminal? It’s probably fine. They’ll hold the next plane if it is a major route (many people flying the same one as you are).

Different terminals and need to go through another security check? Forget it.
