There are some interesting implications for US citizens in this marriage. Meghan is still a US citizen and will now be deriving significant income living in the UK. She will be subject to the IRS, and Price Harry will now be subject to it as well by marriage. The god-forsaken USA is one of the few countries that imposes an income tax on its slaves anywhere. I wonder if he even considered this--this would have been another reason not to marry her.

Their offspring will also be property of the USA, unless Meghan makes the move to renounce her citizenship. That would be crazy unless she has another one. Of course, once she acquires UK citizenship, she could give up her American citizenship.

Could this possibly lead to Congress changing its laws regarding this? Well, it would certainly be a best-case scenario.

I suspect Markle will renouce her US citizenship. I guarantee their kids will renounce their US citizenships. Why would they keep them? Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have announced they are expecting their first child together on the first day of their Royal Tour.
