What's the story behind the huge Litecoin rally this past week? Up to $240 now.

I respect Charlie for keeping people's expectations in line with reality. Litecoin did see a massive pump followed by a nasty dump of 90%. It was $30 in 2013 then came back down to around $3 for several years.

The exact same thing could happen again.

I usually purchase litecoin as a means of transferring money out of GDAX/Coinbase to other exchanges where Bitcoin is cheaper.

I think a lot more people have started doing this as they became more savvy with crypto.

I thought it was crazy to break $200, though it would dip little. No it kept pushing around $250. Now it went up to $300. (4am) I am guessing, asian people are betting on it.

It's trading at $310 on coinbase/gdx, $270 on Binance. This is crazy. Is there a way I can take advantage of this?

I'm not going to look 'cause I'm tired, but can you arb it via ETH?

Buy ETH on GDAX, send ETH to Binance, sell ETH for LTC, send LTC back to GDAX, sell to buy more ETH...

I sold a few off.

I need to get myself into the habit of taking some profits here and there, rather than just sitting forever like I’ve done with just about every coin thus far.

Hopefully there will be another dip and I can buy them back.

This post didn’t age well.

Bought it last weekend at $80 and now its approaching $400.

Anyway, I still think it's undervalued due to the specs of it. Thinking like a commodity trader, there's 4x the amount of litecoin as there is bitcoin on the market. Thus, litecoin should be a quarter of the value of bitcoin. I know these currencies aren't even close to any other commodity on the market, but they have to have some similarities based on intrinsic value.

By my calculations, either bitcoin is overvalued or litecoin is undervalued. Either could be true.

BTC: $17,000

LTC: $375

Let's see where it goes from here. I'll write a more detailed post later when I have some more time.

edit: Coinbase just shut down all purchases of litecoin. Who knows why.

Roosh would it be indiscreet to ask at what price you first bought litecoin?

Is there automated trading for LTC? In other markets you only see these kind of 25% flash crashes and recoveries with computers manipulation. Haven't seen this onew any crypto chart before.

Big dip today, which is fine with me... I want to accumulate more. I wouldn't mind a bigger crash.

Looking to buy a bunch more, will probably do so if it dips under $275. It's been hovering around $315 on coinbase for the last few hours.

Yes. I like litecoin but we shdnt forget its opportunistic origins.

The real test for Charlie/Litecoin will be when sidechains get activated. If they're truly righteous, they will move to the sidechain.
