Taking Monitor On Trips

I actually considered buying a big imac at one point and just transporting it around in a pelican case and use it like a laptop lol

If you do put it in a box, you can be sure that if you put it in a pelican case it will be safe. They're not cheap though.

Personally I didn't get a excessive weight charge because I got perks with some airlines but if it's under the max weight I don't think it would be a big deal, they would just charge you for a check in bag. Just make sure to ask for a fragile sticker and you'll be fine.

Actually when I checked that TV in one of the people who load the plane came up and we talked and he seemed like a nice guy. I don't think those guys go out of their way to fuck your luggage up unless your maybe in a third world country. Anywhere in the west if you check it in the fragile section with things like surfboards, golf clubs, etc, I don't think you'll have any issues.

I've taken my 29" widescreen to do work while on the road, but that was with a car. If traveling by plane, I recommend the HDMI cable idea connected to a television, or better yet, try to find a workspace you can rent or place with computer monitors that you can use to extend your laptop from. Public library? Computer lab at a university?

Like President Trump, I have large hands so I get more benefit out of bringing a full size keyboard than a full sized monitor.

This actually looks awesome, but I would not recommend buying it as I see plenty of people bitching its been a year when are you making it. Once it hits the market I will definitely get one:

Using hotel/apartment television set as a computer display via HDMI-cable or Chromecast is a viable option.

Or perhaps small, portable projector might be worth considering.

Not that I see any problems in carrying a display in luggage between clothes. Depending on weight...
