Ralphi, can you explain how other cities might be better for your type of game (ie daygame). What sorts of venues do you hit during the day and why are they lacking in Austin? I do agree that Austin can be a drinking a city, but just curious.

For daytime venues:
yoga (not hot yoga)
Gym
Museums
Night time venues:
Upscale lounges where I can dress well
Symphony
Ballet
salsa venue for dancing

It's not that Austin doesn't have this stuff. It's that the dive bar culture is so prevalent that I would be in a real small niche trying to find girls with these same interests imho.

Museums I can picture. But Ballet and Symphony? When do you even open, during an intermission? I guess people congregate before and after in the lobby... When I was last in Austin I met this asian girl on a couchsurfing group. She would invite me and other folks to see shakespeare on the green as well as indoor performances also. I even ended up going on a few casual dates with her. She ended up moving to Houston.

Anyhow, I might have to start wearing a 3 piece and hittin on high class girls at the opera...haha. It seems old fashioned and cliche, but I guess certain things never go out of style...

Do you play eye games and forced IOI's from a distance to girls behind folding handfans on the balcony like in some french movie?

Where are you going in Houston ralphi? Theres a huge arts scene if youre into those types of girls but you have to know where and when.

I live basically between medical center and the museum district so I usually check out the museums but I have no idea whats going on with the art scene in the city. If you have any pointers I'd like to hear it since I've only been in Houston a year.

I go to Kirby for the upscale lounges and I go downtown for the symphony.

I don't really game at the symphony but it's one of those things where it makes you more cultured an interesting so you have something to talk about with the artsy girls. They have an intermission where you can buy cocktails and chitchat. Also you can arrive early and have a drink and talk with people. It's best to go with a friend/friends.

I'm in the process of learning salsa through a meetup group which should be good in Houston and abroad when I get the time to travel to South America.

Austin is cheap? (Serious question) I thought it was an expensive city due to hipsters, Whole Foods, and UT students. Heck, I even guessed that Dallas was cheaper than Austin. I might have to pay the city a visit.

Rustle some longhorn beeshes.

Austin is cheap compared to where I used to live before (Los Angeles). I guess it is not cheap compared to the rest of Texas, although there are expensive areas in Dallas (Uptown) and Houston (Midtown).

I've heard Midtown in Houston is becoming really expensive ($1200+ for a 1BR, $2000+ for a 2BR, 10+ dollar drinks at bars)

If you add car/insurance expenses to the total, you are spending quite a lot on just fixed costs per month (similar to the high cost cities everyone complains about)

Any thoughts on that?

I live in the inner loop of Houston and this is definitely true. My car insurance increased significantly after I moved here and rent is rising. If you want to live in a high rise in Houston expect to almost pay new york money for it right now.

I went to Austin to look at places and for what I wanted it was somewhat more expensive then Houston is in downtown locations.

Austin and especially Houston are starting to get a lot of high paying jobs and that is driving up Housing costs. There is an energy boom in Houston right now and I guess there is a tech boom in Austin.

I was going to ask the same thing, but didn't want to sound like a douche.

I want to see some ballet/symphony datasheets.

Also, let's try to keep this thread about Austin.

Damn! Post Mid town Sq used to have specials starting at 750-800 Studio/ 1br. Are you sure you have not checked that out?

Just had brunch at the Driskill Hotel's Restaurant in Austin. The food was great, but what really stood out was this waitress. She came like clockwork every 5 minutes to my table to check up and ask if everything was alright. Filled up my glass of water and coffee every time it got below half without me even asking for it. Not to mention that although she was a 7 that service and her almost demure attitude, almost nervousness, and genuine smile made her sexier than any girl on a night out.

Had to ask for her number after I settled the check and tipped her extra. There's just nothing better than a girl who can provide good service. And it's so much more fun undressing a girl like that in your mind than those girls who work at Hooters or Twin Peaks in a string bikini top. Her accidentally stuttering made me blush more than those aforementioned girls in any situation.

Odds are it won't work out as I'm only here till midday tomorrow, but my balls are full due to nofap, my stomach is full, and I'm high on life.

It is what it is.

Cheers!

I've done pretty well both times I was in Austin. What we normally do is just do a drink at each bar and hop around all night. I liked Trophy Club, Shakespears, and Maggie May's the best personally. If you are good at street game, Austin is golden when the dirty 6 is closed down to traffic. 2/3 lays came from the street there. One night I was staying in a hostel dorm so I told the girl we can get a hotel room. The Fasten (austin uber) got a flat on i35 on the way there. I was gonna call AAA, but in good texas girl fashion, the girl changed the tire while wearing heels. Not my manliest moment, but it was pretty hot.

I was in Austin a few days ago. It's full of pussies who are scared to look you in your eye and don't see a problem with giving directions at 2 in the morning on a dark road. Felt like I was in a Twilight Zone. I would of had a gun pulled on me if I tried that in Houston. I'm getting tired of people spreading lies that it's such a great city and like it's the only one worth visiting in Texas. I should wear a shirt that says AUSTIN IS WEAK next time and watch everyone look away when our eyes meet.

With that being said, It's a tiny city so that's great for the girls. I was all up and down 6th street and downtown. Yes, the girls are very down to earth and friendly. I don't think I had one girl give me a nasty look or get crazy when I talked to them. Everyone that I talked to was in a good mood and friendly (guys and girls). Even the pigs were smiling and friendly. There's a section near the UT campus where students not old enough to drink were walking around. It's like a neighborhood with stores/restaurants for a few blocks. I think Guadalupe street. I don't know if it gets crazy or what but I want to try to make something happen there next time I'm in town if it's always crowded. Oh yeah, one girl and her friend were trying to get into a bar at 1:59 as I was leaving and I told her it's closing time. She said something like "I know what time it is" in a smart ass voice and I told her to get out of the way then. My cousin looked at her and she looked away real fast and didn't say anything else. I've never seen anything like that. You'll have fun in Austin if you're at least a little aggressive. You can tell right away nobody is used to that.

There was a good amount of hipsters trying extremely hard to look cool, but they're ok in my book as long as they stay in their own lane. People can't drive for shit out there and the freeways are a joke. I didn't really see any "douchebags" so that's always good! I also didn't really see to much tan and black skin when I went out at night. It was mainly whites. That's all I can think of right now.

Alpha Mind - Where should a player go if he wants to fuck 18, 19 and 20 year olds? I look young and would do better with them.

I co sign his comment on people being soft here.

All due respect to RVFers who are from Austin but alot of these dudes need a good smack in their face to get a pep in their step.

I think the small percentage in black people in the city has made the guys who grow up on the city complacent on getting stronger/tougher (little to no bullying growing up.)

Not the best theory but the best one I can come up with so far.

Also, a bunch of tech nerds importing into the city doesn't help.

Austin has a reputation for basically being the San Francisco of Texas. That's not a compliment.

Very SJW, leftist, and hipster.

There's a reason why Bumble's HQ is in Austin.
