I recently started doing p90x. The work out is stupid intense, more so than any system i've tried before.
My biggest problem is acidosis. I've been known to do HIIT and after about 30 minutes of training run to the bathroom to vomit.
I have a container that has capsules of sodium bicarbonate. I decided why the hell not. I took 3 capsules with water.
I continued to drink massive amounts of water given that huge amount of salt I just consumed but wow! The performance change was immediate.
Right now, my legs have a burn but not nearly as bad as they were a week ago. I've been able to improve my performance on almost all of the moves.
It's a strange feeling working out without the burn. Your muscles get exhausted and feel like spaghetti noodles, but without that shearing pain that radiates through your body. Also, best part: no sick stomach!
