Marbella datasheet

Lurking member since a few months, have been reading and learning a ton here, my turn to give some back to the community. There’s a datasheet on South of Spain thread-4763.html but I think Marbella deserves its own entry due to it being quite a big contrast with other places in South Spain.

Been living here on and off for a few years now. All in all Marbella is something special, not in a good or bad way, just need to know how things work here, which hopefully this data sheet will help some of you with. I compare it to a small European version of LA including the many golddiggers, escorts, tourists, jacked up guys and fit girls and a dispropriate amount of gyms compared to the number of people living here. The amount of gold diggers is probably among the highest in Europe in relative numbers. Some quick research on Seeking Arrangement tells me Marbella has 110 sugarbabies compared to 10 for Cadiz (same population) or 100 for Malaga (5 times the population of Marbella). This offers some good opportunities though when you can put the golden nuggets from the Seeking Arrangement thread into effect.

Marbella itself can be divided up into 2 parts, the old city with all the locals, history, Spanish flair and the other side Puerto Banus for all the parties and nightlife (and chavs, prostitutes and golddiggers).

Transport
2 airports, Malaga or Gibraltar, both about the same distance to Marbella (30-40 mins drive). Gibraltar has only UK flights and can get to Marbella by taking public transport in the city next to Gibraltar, La Linea (probably most dodgy city in Spain). From Malaga airport you can take direct buses to the bus station in Marbella 5 mins out of the centre.

Not an expert on public transport, but overall i think public transport is pretty OK, all busses. Taxi fairly cheap but prices double at night. Renting a basic car will cost you around 20-50 Eur/day depending on season and best prices you will get around the airports.

Food
Many restaurants, same as with everything in Marbella you can have a 10-euro dinner in a cheap tapas place up to paying a few hundred in the higher end places. Busy tapas places can be used for approaches as many use them as a place to pre-drink and socialise.

Daygame
Marbella is a beach town so easy to game on the beach. During summer most beached are absolutely packed as they’re rather small. Old town for me is the best spot for approaching as it has many ‘normal’ girls doing touristy stuff. Right outside the city is a big mall (La Cañada) and in Puerto Banus there’s El Corte Ingles, but not an ideal place to do approaches in my experience.

Nightlife/parties
About everything, from low-end clubs frequented by chavs to upper-class clubs with +100 Euro cover

Olivia Valere (high-end)
Beautiful club right outside the city, but gaming here is quite hard. Girls are insane though, comes pretty close to watching a Victoria’s Secret show ( https://www.instagram.com/explore/locati...ia-valere/ ). Cover fee in summer can be around 100 Euro, cocktail about 30 euro and 15 euro for a water/coke. Other downside is that many girls here are professional but act in such a subtle way it’s hard to find out. It's almost like they feel the need to be gamed as well. Mindfuck. In summer frequented by rich Saudi’s and Iranians. Very strict door policy.

La Suite (high-end)
New club in the Puerto Romano area close to the city. Trying to be a copy of Olivia Valere but more down to earth people, mostly rich kids. A bit cheaper but still excessive prices overall

Puerto Deportivo area
This area is located in the port right in the city centre. It’s a street of maybe 100metres with about 10 bars/clubs, usually bar area outside on the terrace and the club part inside. What's also nice is that a certain hour the bar area closes so everyone needs to move to the club part. Always a good mix of locals and toursits, my favourite place in summer. No cover fees, relatively OK prices compared to other places and can switch venues easily. What is nice about this area is that it’s right next to the promenade with more bars and restaurants. After eating most groups head to puerto deportivo, so it’s a perfect spot to get first contact. What’s noticeable here is that groups are very polarised mostly, all women or all men. Another good thing is that there’s always taxis so it’s easy to leave. For quick lays, it’s right next to the beach.

La Sala and Mosh Kitchen
Restaurant that turns into a ‘light’ club at night, both around the Puerto Banus area. I like these places as it’s easy to build rapport when having dinner and party there.

Puerto Banus
This is where all the tourists go out. Quite trashy people and chavs, but easy to game. This once used to be THE place but has lost a lot of its glamour. The better places here are Seven and La Habana.

Boat parties
Haven’t done any but there are 1-2 boat parties every week from Puerto Banus, think mostly (British) tourists doing them.

Beach and pool clubs
Many high-end beach and pool clubs, Nikki Beach, Ocean Club, Nao and Sisu. Sisu has a hotel attached to it, so if you’re pool club game is tight I think it’s a good idea to have a room there. PSA: the average guy in these clubs is in a pretty good shape, so you will need your best game and a good physique. Prices are expensive, especially if you want to book some beds with a good location, but in return you get good parties and good looking women and easy to escalate. Typical party at one of the beach clubs: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=69PGRNXWMAU

On a sidenote, I noticed the last years the Puerto Banus area has become pretty popular with those living in the (bad) suburbs of Paris, so you might experience a bit of an aggressive/alpha atmosphere here but allround security is good at most venues.

Girls
I know Spanish girls get a bad rep here, but overall I like them. While they have a bitch shield, mostly due to being approached every 10mins by desperate Spanish men, once you get to know them they are affectionate and most of them are pretty wild in bed. Spanish girls love foreign man, and if you are tall it’s pretty easy here despite all what’s been posted on Spanish women.

With the international character of Marbella there’s also a ton of Swedish, Russian and British living here, most of them working in real estate/sales type of jobs. In the old city also a good amount of Latinas which usually work in hotels/service jobs.

During summer there’s a big influx of tourists from all sides of Europe. Most of these girls are really hungry and as a local if you have a nice place to take them too and can show them 1-2 non touristy things this usually results in a lay.

Note on Tinder and Badoo. Tinder works still pretty good here, especially during summer it’s easy to get bangs with minimal effort of it. Many tourists here who are looking for some adventure and if you can get them away from their group and show them 1-2 nice places (can give in PM) it’s a closed deal. Badoo mostly used by locals but the quality is horrendous, stay away.

^ yes there will always be:

1- Groups of way too rich arab dudes in pink linen shirts and gold LV sunglasses (half of whom will have stunners with them, other half will settle at staring and popping bottles)

2- Groups of black french guys who act from the suburbs but are probably rich rappers

3- Groups of scandinavian looking white pretty boys in even brighter shirts whose sexuality you could never be sure of.

But if you just focus on having a good time it should still be a blast.

Perhaps this will bring Gmanifesto out of the woods and he'll ask in a condescending/entitled manner" "but what's the best spot for X?" repeatedly over and over again.

I hear that one a lot and also understand as its name and reputation is attached to the nightlife/parties but there's a lot more to it than just that if you look a bit further. Looking at Marbella as a place for gaming I think it's quite on the top in Western and Southern Europe though.

Or alternatively, you can be smart and go instead to Mallorca. There, the best of Marbella you can have (great weather, beach, animated nightlife), and you'll avoid the worse of Marbella (porta-potty Arabs, "French" suburban-migrant trash partying on State dime, gay Swedes). Marbella is a redneck drunk 6, and Mallorca an aristocratic flirtitious 7, make your choice.

Ah Marbella,
I love those Adalusian girls.Never got one but love em

Nice data sheet.I was there for 10 wonderful days in 2014..
As an Aussie I found it cheap to eat and drink there.Cheaper than Sydney or Melbourne
I had a good time with the Scandos and Brits.
Marbella is special to me cause it was my first real gaming holiday after divorce.I went there on purpose.
I prefer beach holiday resort town game than hitting major Euro cities
The joint has more hookers than Vegas. And fucking good looking too.
We stuck with the Swedes and Brits.
I had a ball there and it showed me what I could pull off even at 43 at the time.
I'd go back in a heartbeat .
And yes I would rather a booze filled, beach euro holiday with chicks looking to let loose than suiting up James Bond style.
Yeah those Paris thugs are trouble. They caused alot of shit in Barca too.Fuckin hate their baseball caps.

Would probably take you 8 seconds to get some on the second line in Puerto Banus. At night dealers pretty much put drugs in your hand like a gipsy selling flowers. Not a user of any drugs besides alcohol so cannot judge about the quality but I guess its pretty good considering this place is pretty much the entrance gate of Europe for hashish.

Time to give this one a bump. Anyone over this summer?

Hunting season has begun! Many new clubs have opened and there's something for everyone, from hen parties (tons of them), easy 'party-hard' low-class chicks, high-end chicks, wannabe sugarbabies, MILFs, places where only latinas go.. What's nice is everything is polarised, examples:

Big thanks to Jean Gabin for creating the datasheet. I was in Marbella last week and had fun partying with him and his friends.

I stayed at Puerto Banus. Weather was 85 - 90F and sunny. There are many clubs here, and I went to Tibu since it was close to my flat. However, it attracts lower quality people: Brits / Irish, EE hookers, bachelorette parties, and South American hookers.

Ibiza Reference
My only previous experience with Spain was Ibiza. Ibiza - I stayed in Playa d'en Bossa. I can imagine Puerto Banus = San Antonio, never stayed in San Antonio, but my gut tells me these are the types of people who go there.

Achtung Hookers! Very Incognito. They look like girls next door....bloody hell.
Jean Gabin, his friends and I had similar experiences with these tricksters. Typically, they're from EE. Some are obvious and very direct - I'm an escort / prostitute. They're easy to identify and avoid.

The other types are unassuming. They're early 20's and look like the girl next door from Lithuania, Estonia, Hungary. She makes eye contact, you approach and would never assume they're P4P, then they make it clear. Once they tell you they're P4P, they don't have an ounce of shame or guilt. A very pretty Estonian girl said this is the easiest way to make a lot of money. I told her she should use her brain and get a real job. This was the biggest downside of Marbella. I didn't come here to be a social worker, and I hate transactional destinations. Eventually, you notice their demeanor and can avoid them. Also, P4P lurk in tacky and upscale places. The fastest way to identify them is their origin. If EE, then it's a 70% red flag.

Some EE girls are legitimate, so you don’t want to be too harsh. JG and his buddies called it a mind fuck. One needs to play defense and offense.

I concocted hooker spray to fend them off. Before spending too much time talking, I'll say, "I really like Marbella. The weather and people are so friendly, however I'm surprised with normal-looking hookers / escorts in the clubs!" If a P4P slipped under your radar, then she would most likely disclose her intentions or walk away.

If you ever met an EE who said she worked in Marbella, then simply ask, "Oh...what kind of work did you do?" If she doesn't answer within 3 seconds with a solid answer, then she was probably P4P. Marbella is too expensive for EE girls to party, except of Russians. I know I'm being harsh, but it's true.

Ideal Targets
I arrived too early in June. The ideal targets are the 2 or 3+ set who wants to have a girls get-a-way holiday, and they come to Marbella to have fun. My hunch is they arrive in July or August.

The best upscale girls go to Mosh (warm up), then La Suite and Olivia Valere (late night). Next time I'll stay in Puerto Romano, because it's closer to these venues.

Overall, this is a cool place to relax and party. I'm not into Spanish girls, but the locals are very friendly (taxi, supermarket workers). I'm told Marbella is a popular destination for Western European girls who can actually afford it. Plan your trip when the normal girls are there.

I was going to go to Marbella actually this month but then I heard that it gets +40, so I decided to go to Valencia and Mallorca. Does it cool down at least a bit in September? I want to come and see.

If it gets +30 hot, i get frustrated. Too hot weather makes me go crazy.

Bump.

Can anyone provide info about Fuengirola, Benalmadena, Torremolinos...
Basically the beach towns in Andalucia.

I didn’t find a lot of info on these places. I am looking for the best place to buy a property, living there a few months per year and renting it the rest of the time.

I know many europeans bought a place there so ideally someone here who went through the process can shed some light on each town. I might create a special thread for this.

Where are most of the gold diggers from?

Some of them might be spanish, but not most of them.

Also, when you have eastern European and scandinavian girls around, spanish girls become less attractive.

I think the cities you mention are package tour destinations with lots of not so pretty developments near the beach. I've just been to Fuengirola one time where we went to a little amusement park.

I was in Marbella/Puerto Banus in 2007 and 2009. In Summer 2007, before the financial meltdown it was the ultimate party. In 2009 in mid-July it was pretty dead. Back then the gold diggers were mostly Russian and Brazilian, when they weren't Spanish. There was a whole army of Brazilian girls. The Scandinavian and English girls usually were with groups of friends and were just there for fun. Don't know if it's still there, but there was one After hours club in Puerto Banus where you could go when everything except the big clubs closed and every girl in there was a gold digger/hooker. Judging from what I saw on Instagram and some posts I see here, Puerto Banus has really changed a lot and gone way downscale, so my info may not be accurate. I guess it never really recovered from the financial crisis.

50% Russian (these are the pro gold diggers going for the millionaires)
40% South Americans (mostly Brasil, normal gold diggers)
10% Spanish

There's been a big influx of Russians the last years, even so far they now have a higher end Russian club/bar (Kitch).

Has anyone got recent intel or experiences with Marbella? I'm trying to decide between there and Mallorca, Valencia, Ibiza, or San Sebastián for late May or September. Will be targeting other European tourists moreso than Spaniards.
