Lurking member since a few months, have been reading and learning a ton here, my turn to give some back to the community. There’s a datasheet on South of Spain thread-4763.html but I think Marbella deserves its own entry due to it being quite a big contrast with other places in South Spain.
Been living here on and off for a few years now. All in all Marbella is something special, not in a good or bad way, just need to know how things work here, which hopefully this data sheet will help some of you with. I compare it to a small European version of LA including the many golddiggers, escorts, tourists, jacked up guys and fit girls and a dispropriate amount of gyms compared to the number of people living here. The amount of gold diggers is probably among the highest in Europe in relative numbers. Some quick research on Seeking Arrangement tells me Marbella has 110 sugarbabies compared to 10 for Cadiz (same population) or 100 for Malaga (5 times the population of Marbella). This offers some good opportunities though when you can put the golden nuggets from the Seeking Arrangement thread into effect.
Marbella itself can be divided up into 2 parts, the old city with all the locals, history, Spanish flair and the other side Puerto Banus for all the parties and nightlife (and chavs, prostitutes and golddiggers).
Transport
2 airports, Malaga or Gibraltar, both about the same distance to Marbella (30-40 mins drive). Gibraltar has only UK flights and can get to Marbella by taking public transport in the city next to Gibraltar, La Linea (probably most dodgy city in Spain). From Malaga airport you can take direct buses to the bus station in Marbella 5 mins out of the centre.
Not an expert on public transport, but overall i think public transport is pretty OK, all busses. Taxi fairly cheap but prices double at night. Renting a basic car will cost you around 20-50 Eur/day depending on season and best prices you will get around the airports.
Food
Many restaurants, same as with everything in Marbella you can have a 10-euro dinner in a cheap tapas place up to paying a few hundred in the higher end places. Busy tapas places can be used for approaches as many use them as a place to pre-drink and socialise.
Daygame
Marbella is a beach town so easy to game on the beach. During summer most beached are absolutely packed as they’re rather small. Old town for me is the best spot for approaching as it has many ‘normal’ girls doing touristy stuff. Right outside the city is a big mall (La Cañada) and in Puerto Banus there’s El Corte Ingles, but not an ideal place to do approaches in my experience.
Nightlife/parties
About everything, from low-end clubs frequented by chavs to upper-class clubs with +100 Euro cover
Olivia Valere (high-end)
Beautiful club right outside the city, but gaming here is quite hard. Girls are insane though, comes pretty close to watching a Victoria’s Secret show ( https://www.instagram.com/explore/locati...ia-valere/ ). Cover fee in summer can be around 100 Euro, cocktail about 30 euro and 15 euro for a water/coke. Other downside is that many girls here are professional but act in such a subtle way it’s hard to find out. It's almost like they feel the need to be gamed as well. Mindfuck. In summer frequented by rich Saudi’s and Iranians. Very strict door policy.
La Suite (high-end)
New club in the Puerto Romano area close to the city. Trying to be a copy of Olivia Valere but more down to earth people, mostly rich kids. A bit cheaper but still excessive prices overall
Puerto Deportivo area
This area is located in the port right in the city centre. It’s a street of maybe 100metres with about 10 bars/clubs, usually bar area outside on the terrace and the club part inside. What's also nice is that a certain hour the bar area closes so everyone needs to move to the club part. Always a good mix of locals and toursits, my favourite place in summer. No cover fees, relatively OK prices compared to other places and can switch venues easily. What is nice about this area is that it’s right next to the promenade with more bars and restaurants. After eating most groups head to puerto deportivo, so it’s a perfect spot to get first contact. What’s noticeable here is that groups are very polarised mostly, all women or all men. Another good thing is that there’s always taxis so it’s easy to leave. For quick lays, it’s right next to the beach.
La Sala and Mosh Kitchen
Restaurant that turns into a ‘light’ club at night, both around the Puerto Banus area. I like these places as it’s easy to build rapport when having dinner and party there.
Puerto Banus
This is where all the tourists go out. Quite trashy people and chavs, but easy to game. This once used to be THE place but has lost a lot of its glamour. The better places here are Seven and La Habana.
Boat parties
Haven’t done any but there are 1-2 boat parties every week from Puerto Banus, think mostly (British) tourists doing them.
Beach and pool clubs
Many high-end beach and pool clubs, Nikki Beach, Ocean Club, Nao and Sisu. Sisu has a hotel attached to it, so if you’re pool club game is tight I think it’s a good idea to have a room there. PSA: the average guy in these clubs is in a pretty good shape, so you will need your best game and a good physique. Prices are expensive, especially if you want to book some beds with a good location, but in return you get good parties and good looking women and easy to escalate. Typical party at one of the beach clubs: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=69PGRNXWMAU
On a sidenote, I noticed the last years the Puerto Banus area has become pretty popular with those living in the (bad) suburbs of Paris, so you might experience a bit of an aggressive/alpha atmosphere here but allround security is good at most venues.
Girls
I know Spanish girls get a bad rep here, but overall I like them. While they have a bitch shield, mostly due to being approached every 10mins by desperate Spanish men, once you get to know them they are affectionate and most of them are pretty wild in bed. Spanish girls love foreign man, and if you are tall it’s pretty easy here despite all what’s been posted on Spanish women.
With the international character of Marbella there’s also a ton of Swedish, Russian and British living here, most of them working in real estate/sales type of jobs. In the old city also a good amount of Latinas which usually work in hotels/service jobs.
During summer there’s a big influx of tourists from all sides of Europe. Most of these girls are really hungry and as a local if you have a nice place to take them too and can show them 1-2 non touristy things this usually results in a lay.
Note on Tinder and Badoo. Tinder works still pretty good here, especially during summer it’s easy to get bangs with minimal effort of it. Many tourists here who are looking for some adventure and if you can get them away from their group and show them 1-2 nice places (can give in PM) it’s a closed deal. Badoo mostly used by locals but the quality is horrendous, stay away.
