Mindless Drone's VR Primer

When I was a kid people were telling me that its bad to sit close to the TV because it could f*** with your vision.

Years later, after millions of hours sitting infront of a computer screen at work, and staring at a phone screen at home, my vision is garbage, and getting worse every year. I plan to eventually get LASIK.

Any thoughts on how using VR could potentially mess with your vision?

Not enough research on the subject yet as far as I know. They also say that children under 12 shouldn't use VR - a safety margin because they just don't know for sure yet how VR may or may not affect vision as well as in children also brain development.

As mentioned in my previous post I haven't actually yet felt inclined to use VR for more than very short sessions (and at most three or four of those in one day, and that was when my PSVR was brand new and I was testing content).
Though I have also read opinions from people who are apparently perfectly comfortable with using a VR headset for sometimes several hours a day. Aside from head discomfort and potential motion sickness, I'm pretty sure I'd also feel eye strain if I tried that just two days in a row.
