Overcoming sexual performance blocks after a bad experience

Overcoming sexual performance blocks after a bad experience

This is pretty embarrassing but I figure this is the best place to ask for real advice.

I had a pretty horrible experience a few months back with a ONS that is putting a serious mental block on expressing sexual interest in or sleeping with new women.

After a night on the lash (booze + other chemicals), I took a sex pill to prevent whiskey dick with the ONS. Midway through the act I started having some serious palpitations. It felt like my heart was beating out of its chest and I was about to die. In a panic I started spazzing out and told the girl I think I was having a heart attack, at which point she started berating me for not being able to get it up.

A hospital visit and a few EKGs and tests later, my doctor is convinced there are no underlying issues and blames the episode on my chemical cocktail (apparently it's not uncommon to get tachycardia on cialis and viagra).

The issue I have now is that when things are getting sexual with a girl, I will start to have the same symptoms - fast heart rate, nausea, panic - which obviously puts a dampener on the whole thing.

Has anyone here had a similar experience, and if so, how did you recover from it?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Dolmance.

You have to decouple the associations that link in your psych

options:

1) a hooker
2) a long term relationship with lots of slow make outs slowly building up to the act so you are comfortable
3) an ex or old FB who you know you can bang without pressure

O.P., take two Tums. They should solve the whole problem.

Overcoming sexual performance blocks after a bad experience

I've run into a problem. I wasn't sure about it until it happened on multiple occasions. I went to a bar to hang out with people from my improv group, one of the girls reached out her hand to touch my shoulder, and she made a comment about me recoiling away. This isn't the first time it's happened to me. The thing is, I don't consciously realize that I'm moving away when it happens. I don't know what the hell is going on.

Has anyone dealt with something like this before or know someone else who has?
