How to lose fear?

How to lose fear?

This forum has been amazing to my personal growth. As I try to better myself, one thing I have confronted is fear. Not feat of approaching (I don't really care about that- I discount approach anxiety)...I'm talking about the fear of failing.

Taking business and life risks and failing versus having the it easy in status quo?
Starting a business or investing a ton of money, taking that risk?
Fear of social confrontation? Fear of losing ones job and eating shit at work consequently?
The fear of feeling weak and/or dominated by others?
How to be and appear confident in situations you are not?
Fear standing up for yourself- afraid of taking a hit mentally or physically?

What does one do to overcome social fears and gain that level of unshakable confidence in life, women, business?

Knowing what you want, knowing you have to skills to get what you want and knowing you will get it. If you don't step outside your comfort zone all you will no is fear.

Be smart. Research whatever you are going into. Knowing what you want to achieve and how you're going to achieve that. Would be better if you had at least a slight interest. Start small. Just like everything else; babysteps.

Knowing that you're the shit. Be the best at what you do. No employer can get rid of their best asset regardless, in general of course. If you're eating then stand up for yourself. Don't be walked over.

Put yourself first. Your needs, emotions and wants come before anyone else. If you know what you need and you strive towards that, people will respect you more. And if they don't fuck them. You are on this planet to please yourself and live for yourself. Learn the characteristics of people who are manipulative/prone to dominant others and don't let it happen.

Be confident. Practice. There's nothing else to say. If you make yourself look like an ass - good. Learn from it and don't let it happen again. Confidence comes over time.

You get hit in the face what's the worst that can happen? You get a broken nose? That's a funny story - not a failing. Keep your head high, be confident, walk with purpose. People will only confront you if they see weakness in you

Read Bang. If you have reread it. If you've read it 20 times make it 21. Don't think of it as a book that helps you get laid. Change your mindset. The first few chapters are excellent food for thought for someone in your position. Read, put it into practice then see the difference.

The only other thing I will say is none of what you fear will change overnight. You need to know your own fear and meet it head on and realise it's not as scary as you think it is.

^^

To add on to this, it comes down to: Eventually you're gonna take a hit, "take an L". If your fear comes from trying to avoid it, you'll spin your wheels forever.

You can play smart, and play strategically ... but you can't live life trying to avoid the valleys that come with the peaks, so play boldly.
