We already talked about sexbot and virtual reality and this is the concept but pushed on the next level...

Ed Harris and Anthony Hopkins both give us a great interpretation

A must watch !

Tell them too much, they wouldn't understand; tell them what they know, they would yawn.
They have to move up by responding to challenges, not too easy not too hard, until they paused at what they always think is the end of the road for all time instead of a momentary break in an endless upward spiral

The pilot was superb. Some red pill knowledge dropped in. Though it appears the show will have a heroine, rather than hero.

Also watched a bit of Supernatural. The later seasons(post SJW writer switch) seem pretty infected, but I got introduced to the first few seasons and they're not all that bad. For starters the leads are some of the male leads who are NOT in any way pussified males or lacking masculinity. Even the one portrayed as the "smart one" is still more masculine than the overwhelming majority of 2016 era "manly" characters.

^ It gets samey real fast.

I can understand its popularity when it was being watched on a week to week basis but as a serial binge-watcher I got sick of it by the end of season two in a way that SOA (for example) never induced.

The actors are great, don't get me wrong. The brother-vibe they have is 100 percent accurate. But after hearing Sam bitch and whine about (spoilers) for the 100th time I hit the power button on the remote and deleted it from my Netflix list.

Luke Cage.

Watched episode one.

Shit story. Shit lines. Shit acting. Shit characterisation. It feels like affirmative action and brings similar results. If that show were full of white people it would be rightly ridiculed as being a total wash.

I wanted it to be good. I really did. But it ended up being some sort of half-assed version of Shaft.

By the time the credits rolled I blacked out, no pun intended. When I woke up my house was full of Nazi paraphernalia and I had a massive swastika tattooed on my chest. I'm considering a law suit.

Since nobody cares about Chrisley Knows Best, let me suggest another:

Below Deck.

Its about the crew on fancy yachts. Fun and mischief happens but Capt Lee keeps it under control. They eat really fancy food, the guests and the crew. People usually wind up fucking every show.

Westworld is superb, but one thing does not match according to me: all the real people should be young just like in "In time", it is a civilisation able to do anything.

Surely not and Let me expand on this:
In your 20s you don't have the same goals and experiences than yourself at 30s or at 40 50 or 60...

You're evolving in your life based on your passed experiences, so with this in mind someone at 20 may want to bang girls based solely on pure day game but the same person at 60 still want to bang girls but might create a cult to be worshiped abd loved to a degree not attainable by mere humans...

Both still want to bang girls but not with the same means and the same results...

Westworld enable this kind of dream to it's users, if you watched the second episode you may understand what I mean.

Tell them too much, they wouldn't understand; tell them what they know, they would yawn.

Westworld looks good and is entertaining so far, but I have some difficulty seeing how long it can run.

I'm 4 episodes in and Luke Cage is pretty fun. Not as good as Daredevil season 1 (though that was *amazing* and a very high bar to meet), but better than Daredevil season 2 and Jessica Jones.

+1

Not better than Dardevil 1, But better than D2 and JJ. Captures the Ethnic feel of of Harlem/NYC(Music, slang, style). Very entertaining and I'm only up to ep4.

Most of you are too young to remember the original Westworld movie. I actually saw it in the theaters when I was a kid.

Back in the 70s, I would pretend to be sick so I could stay home alone from school and watch HBO: Westworld, French Connection, Serpico, High Plains Drifter, Frenzy. Some dark stuff. And Blazing Saddles. Big set-top box.

I really liked the first two episodes of Westworld. I vaguely remember watching the movie on video as a kid or young teen back in the 80s but can't recall any specifics except for Yul Brynner with a revolver.

Just finished season 3 of Peaky Blinders, there's always been "strong" female characters (Polly, Grace) but they've really taken a turn with the woo feminism in season 3... shame. Loved that show

That does seem like a bit of a shame. Peaky Blinders looked like it was right up my alley but learning it turns into a feminist shit-show killed my interest.

West world seems moderately interesting but if the story is centered around a female, then forget it. 'Strong' female leads suck in both live-action shows and video games.

It's still worth catching for the first 2 seasons- season 3 is frustrating though. The first 2 are pretty much self contained anyway.

Edit: On Westworld, I'm of a similar opinion. Not a fan of female leads

Westworld is an interesting concept, deals with stuff that we may be facing in the not so distant future. The predictable girl power propaganda is annoying, especially the foul mouthed technical maintenance chick that works on the androids.

The question is, WYB one of the smoking hot robots? I'm not sure myself, though I definitely would fondle some synthetic titties.

They are completely like humans, so you wouldn't actually know if they are "synthetic" without anyone telling you so.

Seasons 6 and 7 of Mad Men are complete snoozefests. I dont get the hype. It tries to be deep but I dont see any depth.

The season 7 premiere of The Walking Dead is as brutal as promised. Bleak, horrifying despair seasoned with black dread.

Hate to love this show after this episode (as it should be). It sailed right into top 3 among ongoing shows after a slow season 6.

Sure the girl gets the most screen time, but Anthony Hopkins is the lead.
