So there are numerous articles on how Andy Murray was vocal about the lack of top female coaches in tennis and he took it upon himself to take initiative and change that . Be the change you want to see in the world right ?

2 years ago he appointed the French lesbian former grand slam winner and top pro athlete Amelie Mauresmo as trainer and coach which was seen as bizzare / shocking / ground breaking at the time .

At the time he was in his physical peak at 26 yrs old and in the form of his life after winning two major grand slams the US Open and Wimbledon and the Olympic Gold medal .

During the 2 years with Mauresmo he consistently underperformed and failed to beat any Top 4 ranked players !!! Fast forward 3 weeks after "parting company " Murray just beat reigning French open champion and Top 3 seed Stanislas Wawrinka and produced his most dominating performance ever on clay .

To top it all Mauresmo decided to get pregnant (during her highly paid short coaching stint ) by artificial insemination (lesbian of course) . She was ringside coaching Andy at grandslams with a bloated belly ready to pop anytime .

Andy arguably could have or would have won the two grand slams won by Wawrinka during that time and challenge Djokovich as the best of current times had he continued to progress rather than take a step back with this madness of an experiment .

It's not just in tennis but in all spheres of life we are being forced to believe in the politically correct liberal opinion although by physics and science laws its horse shit . We are not equals . A chinese guy can't produce the same manual work results as a African guy . Our genetics are not the same and women are not equal to men in most things .

The equal demand of pay in Hollywood and tennis is another argument for another day . But someone has to take the bull by its horn and do something about this shit .

Andy Murray was a perpetual choker before Mauresmo and will always sort of be one. When winning the 2012 USO and 2013 Wimbledon, it just so happens his opponents choked much worse than he did. This is coming from a guy who follows tennis closely and plays it himself.

I rather disagree. Lendl made a winner and a killer out of Andy. And actually, Andy was just that even before Lendl... He just needed some straightening with his, at times nonchalant(-looking), game... he also needed Rafa to get tired and less good, which happened...

Watching the matches against Berdych/Djoko at the USO 2012 and against Verdasco/(Some Polish guy)/Djoko at Wimby 2013, Murray got by with his opponents choking horrifically.

I'll give Andy this though..he earned every bit of that Olympic Gold Medal in London 2012 with a great performance all tournament and when he literally wiped Federer off the court aggressively dictating play 100% of that match. The reason he doesn't have a career slam yet is because of Djoko and Nadal though I feel he will definitely be deserving of one.

Was Lendl a great coach? Sure. But having Mauresmo as coach in those instances mentioned above would not have reversed the fact that his opponents choked at those critical moments.

I think Murray and Lendl broke up as a pairing because Andy wanted to shift a bit of focus on bringing in more streams of income through opening restaurants, other businesses, etc. Lendl wanted him to focus 120% of his energies on just tennis.

Correlation does not imply causation. I'm glad he's got rid of Mauresmo anyway but he was a complete idiot to replace Lendl with her. I wouldn't sing his praises though. He's got an extremely easy path to the quarter finals and was almost knocked out by 37-year-old Stepanek and then by a 178th ranked 22-year-old boy. Afterwards he faced Karlovic and Isner whose game isn't suited for clay. He then beat Gasquet and Wawrinka, nothing wrong with those. Hardly a convincing route to the final though. I can't understand how anyone can root for him unless you're Scottish. It's hard to find someone with a more boring and hideous style of play and a more repulsive manner on court. His girl looks cute though:

Murray has been an underachiever, regardless of coaching. It has been a great misnomer including Murray in the "Big Four", with Roger, Nadal and Novak. He doesn't deserve to be included with the others who have dominated the sport for the last decade. Having won 2 Slams, he has not achieved commensurate with his ability. Wawrinka also has two slams having to complete his entire career against Roger, Nadal and Novak. He gets a fraction of the attention that Andy does.

The amount of mental energy he expels during them is undoubtably the reason behind him 'choking' in the slam's. You can't win the slam's against that caliber of player behaving the way he does.

During the successful period with Lendl, he was carrying something in his bag which he would focus on during the breaks. Fuck knows what it was, but he seemed to have less tantrums and picked up a few trophies during that period.

The slow start to this tournament, believe this or not, I put that down to him missing his beloved Hibees winning their first Scottish Cup for 114 years. He's an avid Hibby and clearly his mind was in another place when he began the French. Again though this points to his mental frailties when it comes to concentration.

Djorko knows he can piss all over him if he hangs in long enough for Murray to self combust. Murray's more of a tennis punk/progressive, Djorko far more traditionalist/conservative. The way they both dress and behave on court highlights this. Hopefully becoming a Father recently might bring Murray out of his childlike behaviour, it's often quite embarrassing.

The Mauresmo episode was also embarrassing, considering Djorko brought in Becker roughly same time, but hey, he might just have learned an important lesson on how women operate in life. I'm sure we've all learned these things at certain times in our lives. Here's hoping this episode might have opened his eyes a bit.

I fully expect Djorko to beat him today, but if Murray could just keep a lid on it. Who knows.

That's true Renton1875. Andy has always had to face two opponents on the court: his rival and himself. His lack of composure is well-known so whoever is facing him just has to coax his temper out and wait for him to self-implode. Andy's body language is usually a case study on how not to hold yourself, especially when contrasted with the grace of Federer or even Joker who has made strides and matured immensely since his earlier days.

How do Scots perceive his behavior? Is it something that is talked about over there?

Murray is a hell of a player, he's always in the latter stages of tournaments on all surfaces now. His improvement on clay has been impressive.

But this day belongs to Djokovic who has now cemented himself as one of the best of all time winning the French that has eluded him. With 12 majors now it seems possible that he could surpass Federer's 17.

Seriously though, he's a national hero. We get embarrassed when he throws his tantrums, shit I'm sure it's more embarrassing for him when he watches them back. He tries to be a perfectionist and is his own biggest critic, when he doesn't match up to his own expectations, he blows. We accept that, we wish it didn't happen, but it does.

He had a couple major traumas early in his life which no doubt lurk deep in his psychological locker, would think he would have been to see the best specialists around for that, maybe not though. Sure Djorko's hit a slump, Raffa's injury woes continue, Roger keeps getting older, but hey, you can only beat what's put in front of you. That's what he's done.
