I went to Cuba in October staying all the way to mid January. The trip I'll admit was probably the most challenging trip I've taken. I truly believe only the most hearty can travel there for such a long time. On the same token it's also been one of the most exciting trips I've taken and I was certainly left wanting more. There were many days where I told myself it had been the best day of my life. The rewards for taking a trip here are unparalleled in my opinion. And there were also some days where I thought I think this would be my last trip there. Thankfully those days were very few and only occurred due to Cuba being such a strange and sometimes unpredictable place.

Here's what I experienced and here are my suggestions for the trip:
Weather: First thing that comes to mind is the fact that Cuba is ridiculously hot. I was born in Miami, and have been living in Austin for the last couple years so I know what hot is. But the heat in Cuba just saps you, it's brutal. I was expecting cooler weather by coming in the winter months. But Winter simply does not exist in Cuba. You will simply melt like ice cream and the problem is compounded by the fact that most restaurants, stores and places of business(especially the homes of the locals) simply do not have air conditioning. I highly recommend bringing your own portable air conditioning unit, and as many items that assist in staying cool as you can, which I plan to bring on my next trip!
Transportation Personal transportation is a must, an absolute must if you want to slay pussy like a king. I still pulled it off not having my own car or motorcycle but man would it have made things so much simpler. I came in totally unprepared for the cost of rental cars, and simply underestimated the difficulty in getting a local to rent their cars for a reasonable price. For that mistake I walked ALOT! I probably walked more in Cuba then I have in my life. My legs just weren't used to so much walking and in the first couple days I had trouble walking as my calves cramped up. This went away a week later and I found myself walking miles and miles for whatever I needed or simply when I wanted to explore the cities and villages which happened almost daily. A motorcycle is what I plan on riding there on my next trip. I also had an uncle there who would drive me to different places and was pretty much my driver but was fairly unreliable having car trouble quite frequently. Taxi's were cheap, costing about 40 cents in USD equivalent. These taxis don't take you to your desired destination they work like a sort of privatized bus system, and there are also actual the buses which are even cheaper but not as frequent as these classic car taxis were. Definitely adds a different flavor to the experience you sometimes truly feel like you're living in a different time, I at least did.
The Girls: Ok so here's the deal. I'm Cuban American. You've probably heard a lot of stuff about Cuba from other threads, maybe some of it would discourage you. I'm going to tell you guys who are on the fence the truth. You are totally missing out. You think you need spanish? wrong. Don't get me wrong, spanish is nice but I was dead wrong about it trumping english. Here's the fact. English is what gets women all flustered there. It's the dynamite that I found late in the game. The less spanish you know there the better. If you just want to bang this is simply the truth. Why? Because like other countries it's almost every girls dream in Cuba to escape their country and live the high life in the USA and they're hoping to get with an American to do just that. Now I say this in a general sense, if you are picking up girls. Knowing the language definately has a big plus especially if you can conceal it, allowing you to let other people comfortable in talking behind your back especially girls. If you know spanish there may also be some instances where it's good as well, like when YOU get picked up. That's right, if you look good and you're foreign you will get hit on. Spanish is fine here. Now what I mean by getting hit on is you'll be at a restaurant and either a hot lil waitress or one of the girls dining at the restaurant may very likely hit on you. Not just the pros, although I can see how it may be hard to discern sometimes. This happened to me quite a few times. I went out with one for example who had quite a bit of money herself, she apparently had some dude who gave her what she wanted but simply needed that extra bit of excitement and had a taste for foreign men. The sex was amazing I was waiting for the catch but it never came, no secret whore money grabbing tactics ever came about. I later saw her with her man walking down the street near my apartment which made me laugh as we had talked only two days ago about seeing each other on the street and not saying a word if we did and how we'd act like strangers, everyone knows everyone there so if word got out she was fucked! She also paid for drinks about as much as I and I will say this was not common at all considering it's Cuba. Now for those who don't know spanish, and even for those who do I'll tell you to bring a buddy who can be "The Translator". This will work wonders for you. He's like the ultimate wingman. He does all the talking, you just look all Americany and you fuck her. It's that simple. I'm serious. You're going to be able to tell if she's a pro from a mile away trust me, so just keep away from those. But for the rest? Just use game. Now this is going to sound a bit rough for some of you. LIE. Tell her you think she's the most beautiful girl you've seen(you should be going for those anyway so it should be sort of true) and that you want to see her for the rest of your trip, that you want to take one of them to the states with you hopefully, tell her you want to get her a gold ring, or some bull shit. LIE through your teeth! Have your translator buddy lie for you! You don't want to lie? Then pay her. Sometimes it's just the nice thing to do. 20 dollars, honestly that's what it costs to take a girl out anyway, no big deal. I'm not advising you do either or, I'm just saying in all of your encounters with Cuban girls you're going to be doing one of two things, lying or paying to get what you want. Unless you happen to be in some key areas of Cuba where things are quite different which also brings me to my next point.

Also about the girls, there's a huge variance in their looks. A good amount of them are black or mixed. If you don't want black girls I'd steer clear of most of Oriente and Holguin and typically the south of Cuba if you want to get technical like Guantanamo, I never went there and for this reason mainly. I like black girls but more so in a token fashion then anything else. You will also find some incredible beauties that have white features but have a beautiful indian skin tone and slight indian mix which is remarkably beautiful. Location Unless you are like me who enjoys different types of women ranging from semipro city girls all the way down to the small town sweet heart you're going to want to pick a prime location and as far as quality women go the city is just not the place for most guys. It can be with the right connections but I wouldn't recommend staying in the capital (I didn't) and I found my preference was small towns, even though I had some good connections, for example my uncle was a lot of things one being a retired math professor. He introduced me to a friend of his who also happened to be a math professor. This cat later went on to be a real good friend of mine as for every bottle of vodka I provided him ($3) meant I'd end up banging another one of the highschool teachers who were amazingly sexy and had nothing to do, just dying to go out on a weekend night with me to get out of the tedium they were living in. I probably banged the entire second floor of the dorms for female teachers in that school and still the towns in the country regions, the small towns are just so much better in terms of quality in my experience. When I went to the small towns places you probably haven't heard of about Cuba like "La Mulata", or "Balla Honda" that is where dreams became a sheer reality. I went there alone. I took a truck bus costing a total of about 2 dollars. It was a couple hours trip from Miramar. I made friends quickly and to my unexpected surprise discovered I had some very distant family who were living there. I was quickly taken around town to be introduced to all the single local women in the small town of "La Mulata" this is an experience I've never had where the local men pretty much throw their hottest women at me. But they were smart they knew I'd reward them, a few of them anyway. What transpired I can only call paradise for a number of days. Thanks to a distant family member I had locked down a sizable "Ranchon" which was like a big private apartment with a large open dining area in the front, completely gated and fenced. The girls I had met earlier in the day, as well as some of the ones from the previous day made their way to where I was. There were about 12 girls and 4 guys, one of them being the owner of the place and with his wife there he had to bail to his regret closing us in. The music started pumping from the speakers in the dining area, it was reggaeton, tons of alcohol was bought as per the advice of a good friend to stock up nicely and the girls just started taking their clothes off at one point in the middle of the night all together. They were just happy to party and drink and go wild, running around the place naked in private. I'm glad more guys didn't find their way to where I was at. These girls were in their prime. Other things I'll add is throughout the trip I didn't cook, clean or work a single day for 3 months there. Naked girls cooking, cleaning almost all the time I needed it to have it done. Again some paid, some just to make me happy. Gyms sucked there, very old run down machinery but you can definitely get a workout in some gyms in Miramar. If you cycle you may as well get a mountain bike and not a road bike the roads have crater like potholes and you will get tons of flats to deal with. Learn salsa dancing if you don't know already, trust me it's super fun and it's going to add to your life in more ways then one, Cuba is the place to learn it!

Don't pay to stay somewhere per day if you're staying for a month or longer anywhere in Cuba. You can get a nice apartment for $200 a month. Rent for a couple days somewhere when you arrive, find a agent who will help you find a cheap place that's nice and centric and keep that extra money in your pocket.
If you are really in doubt as to who you can trust and happen to be in the city get out of there! Go to a place like Pinar de Rio or one of the neighboring small towns. Find a english speaker you can be friends with the people there are much more noble and down to earth. They are just good natured and will help you out. Pay them well, treat them well and you won't be disappointed.
Some of the bad: Not all in Cuba is rosy when it comes to girls. People here are poor, you may very well get robbed by the girls that you let into your place so be careful! I was lucky and the only thing that disappeared from my place was a pair of shorts, a titanium spork and an old 30 dollar blue tooth speaker that was pretty fucking good. I also was smart and kept my valuables in a safe especially my cash. Cuba is a country of swindlers, everyone there grew up with there survival skills needing to be on active mode at all times so you need to be aware of that, they are lovely people but they are also sharks. You wont get assaulted you are in fact very safe in that regard but don't be surprised if the guy you bought that great leather shoe from doesn't come back to give you the other one! Yes this has happened to people! Be on your guard always.
Also you will not get what you want/need sometimes. Toilet paper? That's a luxury in 90% of the island. You can buy it in the store but dont be surprised if you don't find any in a restaurant! Shit out of luck my friend. You'll be lucky to find a magazine you can use sometimes.
Sometimes all they'll have in a restaurant is pork, or chicken. Sometimes they don't have ketchup. There will always be something missing or unavailable, even in supermarkets.
Internet is scarce and it sucks when you have it, really bad. This is actually a good thing. You don't want girls glued to their smartphone again do you? I got used to not having internet really fast and loved it. I also had a buddy I paid a dollar each week who would download everything i could possibly want from youtube videos of my favorite channels, to the latest movies, games, books, tv shows. I pretty much had the internet in that way you could say.
New years and Christmas suck in Cuba. Everything, everyone and i mean everyone stops working in Cuba during those days. It's like the end of the world. If you didn't buy food before that time you're in for a hell of a ride especially if you don't have a ride. I hated it.
Honestly I don't know how you could avoid getting laid in that country. You make a good friend there in Cuba who will tell the girls he knows about you, help him out here and there with 5-10 bucks, keep him in the loop, get some food cooking in your place, some raggaeton with a couple boxes of Crystal beer and the girls will come just for that. No joke. Only other thing I'll add to this sheet is enjoy it while it lasts guys!!!
