I'm wondering if anyone ever went back to trade school after getting a professional degree here.
The reason I ask, is I crossed paths with a few people who worked on ships (mostly super yachts) and one of the coolest guys was a fully qualified ship's engineer, and then on top of that a full qualified P.Eng. Basically he got hired on by these rich guys to help design boats, then once they were operational actually go out on the boats and help work out the quirks with the hands-on stuff.
I was thinking the mechanical engineer/mechanic combo would be equally valuable designing cars, or even anything mechanical. Also I think the trades angle is easier to just 'up and work' abroad vs professional degrees.
At least this guy, and I can picture most start as the trade guy, then upgrade.
