I am not a big fan of women's football. However, the Japanese played well in the technical and in the tactical sense. They deserved to win.

Just heared that Klinsmann became the coach of the male USA team. Be sure that he will take care that his players will be in an ABSOLUTE TOP condition physically at the next world cup. You can expect to reach the quarter finals, I think.

Did not want to start a new Women's World Cup thread so bringing this thread up to date. The US Women World Cup Soccer Team did beat Japan on July 5 2015, and yes the US women were very aggressive and masculine in their play and behavior and yes the Japanese women were quite feminine and so the USA women won in a Canadian stadium that was overwhelmingly made up of USA fans.

Clearly soccer has become a female sport as most boys in the USA once they near puberty no longer wish to play with girls and gravitate towards the North American combat sports Football, Basketbrawl, Hockey and Baseball with rock hard balls and wooden or metal clubs (bats) or evan Golf, smaller rock hard balls and metal or composite clubs. Seems very little money or endorsements in female futbol versus the men's Combat sports.

One thing that annoyed me about the USA women were their uniforms - as a veteran - I am wondering who thought it a good idea to outfit the USA women in White and Black logoed Uniforms with lime green sox? The fans in the Vancouver Stands were festooned in Red White and Blue - I even noticed the Japanese ladies were in nice sexy red white and blue uniforms - but the USA ladies - looked like baggy Basketball uniforms of any other country but the USA??? Whats up with that?

Are the modern feminist Title 9 produced American women athletes ashamed to be Americans or from the USA?

Who ever chose their team colors, patches and uniforms is imnsho.

I was thinking the same thing. Who's brilliant idea was it to the put the US team in nearly all white uniforms? You would think the USA would have a little more flair than that...

Same thing went on as last game back in 2011, japenese woman were more feminine and usa woman were more butch like. That morgan girl brushed off a foul from japenese woman like they were children. I felt like it was a high school team facing a pro team....tsk tsk
