Is anyone else going to this year's Oktoberfest (17 Sep - 3 Oct) in Munich? I'll be there for at least the first week or so. I'm a 27-year-old American living in Hawaii looking to enjoy the only good kind of sausagefest. I don't know what the game prospects will be, but I plan to make the most of those that exist. If you're down to wing, I'm a tall, handsome (if I do say so myself), Mediterranean-looking (Italian descent) great conversationalist, though I'll admit I need to work on approaching. I have enough German to make the good-faith effort at speaking their language before we switch to English. Prost!

I've been to Oktoberfest for the past 2 years since I live in and around Munich, and I want to close and/or have a wingteam that's down to plant flags, because otherwise all the lederhosen and dudes hugging and chugging beer gets gay.

I don't speak any functional German - living and studying here, a lot of days I still want to be able to shut it off.

I feel very comfortable approaching, but need to learn to close. If any of ya'll wanna hang and share pointers that's cool.
