Sleep Apnea and Bodybuilding

I am skinny, kind of an ectomorph actually and have a thin neck currently. I do have mild sleep apnea though. I was just curious in case I do start working out hardcore one day, if I should avoid exercises that will make my neck too thick.

I see. I honestly doubt the changes you could make if you are truly an ectomorph would make too much of a difference. Especially if your neck is already small (I imagine somewhere between 14 and 15 inches?). Maybe just avoid weighted neck extensions and flexions.

Sleep apnea sucks.
A Dr. once told me the way it works is that when you fall to a deep level of sleep, you relax and your tissue blocks your breathing. When this happens you build up CO2 and your brain says hey asshole, wake up im choking, but youre tired and so you only wake up a little bit, just enough to breath right again but not fully awaken, eventually you fall back to a deeper level of sleep and the cycle repeats itself and you really never get a good night of sleep.
Its scary because new studies suggest that long term sleep apnea can cause all sorts of problems and even serious heart conditions later in life. It also doesn't matter if you are fat cause skinny dudes can have it too. Its an anatomy thing...but obesity is associated with S.A.
Pills and supplements wont help cause they don't solve your anatomy problem. If you knock yourself out with a pill you just stay in that deep level of sleep without oxygen. Ive heard people with S.A. who have a C-PAP machine can't wait to get into bed cause they sleep so much better. The C-PAP drives pressure into your airway and overcomes the tissue blockage .... Unless the pills youve been taking sticks in your airway and holds it open while you sleep I really dont think it will help. Im getting evaluated for S.A. cause I snore and Im always tired. Ill wear a machine on my face if it means functioning better... I wonder if this could be the beginning of a new niche: "C-PAP" game.

Here's one thing that will help with sleep apnea. I used the Doterra Breathe blend. I place some of the blend on my filtrum every night before I go to bed. I inhale and have sleep great as a result. I am having dreams again.

If you are not dreaming, you likely have sleep apnea.
