Any recommendations on how to rock this style? I notice the ladies love it.

Outside a high end club, this has been my style for the better part of a decade. I'm 28 now. In terms of the look, where I'm from, surf culture and hip hop stylings have melted together somewhat.

Accentuating the look follows the exact same guidelines of any type of fashion. Pick the clothing within this style that fits. You will always rock a poor print better than you will a poor fit.

My most important tip would be to never ever wear a one size fits all snap back. They look awful, they block off half your face and essentially detract from your appearance. When wearing a snap back always go for something like this:

It's that whole rule of thirds principle. With the one size fits all, it covers your whole forehead and messes up the dynamics of your face. I know this sounds absolutely ridiculous but I promise, if you're going to wear a cap, wear one like the above, and wear it backwards…

…The other factor to consider is that it also highlights that you have hair. Now don't get me twisted, being bald or balding isn't going to stop anyone picking up, but when you wear a cap while balding it stinks of insecurity.

You have some points there. But using a guy with good features/looks isn't fair as an example. You can put any shitty clothes in a catwalk model and she'll still look good.

Now imagine this guy wearing a semi open white dress shirt instead of this snapback and backpack. I bet he'll be able to pull exponentially more chicks and have more respect from guys. Be it interpersonal and professionally speaking.

I know it's a matter of style (urban) but a guy with +20 years wearing a snapback does not pass a good impression. It'll pass as a dumb idiot who spend all day listening to rap smoking weed. [this is not a personal attack].

It's like tattoos (people will think you're a drug addict) or earrings (gay).

To be perfectly honest, the reality is that everyone has their pre-conceptions and tastes. These blanket statements however are the domain of feminists and blue pill males: I.E: "She would never go for that rich asshole" or "Girls don't like big muscles". It's not something that truly bothers me enough to go into a long discussion, however being a part of this forum that's an awfully blue pill way to be thinking.

Why?
This is a niche look. Your main demographic is jailbait from low-income households.

The people on the cons side, seem to be looking at this as what men think women should want.

My personal experience speaks for itself.

Your options really carry less weight, because you'll are not women. As such, you're not my target market.

Thinking a dude looks goofy doesn't matter if I'm swimming in it at the end of the night.

Obviously everyone comes from different backgrounds, but a man's style is his own. As long as he dresses well [According to his preference and personality] - there will be little no draw backs when it comes to game. I.E: Your demographic is who ever you want it to be.

Of course many guys may have preconceptions about a certain style just like many strangers would have preconceptions about the men who frequent these forums. Doesn't always mean they are correct though.

In essence, this thread is asking people if they dress to a certain style. They aren't asking whether certain posters believe that makes them appear silly. So to respond in such fashion appears to be of little value.

No real argument here. Just pointing that out.

Personally I think the "gansgter" look is ridiculous, but I have elements of the look in my casual dress. I'll often wear a henley with black jeans and leather shoes, rocking a Strongbody flatbill hat at the same time. You do what you do.

I'm afraid you took the snapback attack personally.

It's not only about chicks. You might hit the gym, go shirtless (A&F) and you'll pick girls. That's why I mentioned tattoos and piercings also. I have a friend with tattoos even on his neck and hands. He's a family's man (two kids) but most people think he might use heroin.
When you're younger you think "fuck that" but then you realize the world is a little more complex. You said you're 28. In a few years you'll change your mind about snapbacks.

The world would be boring if we all used the same style. I think you mentioned you live in surf culture area. If that works for your demographics, so be it. Ghetto Gangsta is alpha too but I advise you not to do it.

In America, everybody claims "I don't judge people" and say "do you care what people think of you?"

Everybody judges each other based on even small items.

If you're not from the hood or don't at least live in the hard part of town and you wear snapbacks like you're a hard one, you're a tryhard wannabe. No denying it.
