Dexmethylphenidate

Surprised that there isn't any discussion on this particular medication already.

Treating attention deficit hyperactivity disorder(ADHD). It may also be used for other conditions as determined by your doctor.

Dexmethylphenidate is a central nervous systemstimulant. Exactly how it works is not known.

I recently tried it and was blown away by its effects. My brain was firing on all cylinders and (sounds bad) but it works amazingly well when you're drunk.

I take modafinil on occasion and found both to do the following:
Increase awareness substantially
Give me extra foresight; I don't just do things on impulse or reaction, I do a quick plan as I go along rather than just doing it
Reduce my need for sleep
Increase in confidence

However, Dex has benefits on top of modafinil that include
No Anxiety
Makes more Extroverted, able to tap into other things around me
Removes all signs of physical tiredness such as heavy eyes, muscle fatigue etc. even if I am actually tired

It seems to be a drug that neither well known or easy to obtain online. I was just wondering if anybody here takes it and what their thoughts were on it.

Is this the same as dexedrine?

I may be incorrect but I believe Dexedrine is an amphetamine whilst Dexmethylphenidate is not.

It sounds a lot like Vyvanse (Lisdexamfetamine) and Ritalin's (Methylphenidate) love child. I have a few questions though:

1. You mention it works well when you're drunk. But doesn't alcohol reduce its potency?
2. Is there a euphoria effect (as seen in Amphetamine use)? Or does it just make you clear-headed (methylphenidate use, where you feel happiness but no euphoria)?
3. How is the comedown? Amphetamines generally have slow comedowns, methylphenidate and its derivatives have abrupt comedowns that leave you craving.

Note to anyone concerned about illegal activity: I have a prescription for ADHD medication and want to know more about the effects of different medications. I do not endorse illegal abuse of ADHD medication.

I totally endorse the illegal use of ADHD drugs, I made a small fortune off that stuff back in uni. The doctors would give them out them like candy, I was prescribed 40 mgs of dexedrine per day and would pick up a bottle of 100 of them (10mg caps) about once a month and sell each pill for ten bucks, students loved them "nerd in a bottle", great for cramming. I'd take them sparingly because they made me too jittery, I still get the odd bottle when studying for work related exams but don't sell them anymore, I think the current bottle I have is almost two years old now, I once failed a piss test because of them.

Lets agree to disagree on that one.

Before I got my prescription, I saw a few friends in college without prescriptions become complete tweakers because of the ADHD drugs they purchased. You never know who will get their hands on the drugs you sell, and I did not want to be responsible for some kid getting addicted, for ethical reasons.

Money to be made from selling it is good, but I always had a good amount of money saved up from summer jobs and small-time hustles when I was in college. I never needed the money, I didn't want to risk getting caught, and I didn't want some poor kid with an addictive personality getting addicted to my prescription.
