Troll.

Mate I've read your posts on this thread. You should be doing a lot of reading about gaming from serious authors instead of name-calling, because you've got nothing...

Get off the keyboard, hit the gym and actually approach women instead of being a self-hating Aussie

Why do Aussie guys care what others think about what they do in Asia? Just live your life.

Maine and Canadian lobsters are the same animal. Prove me wrong.

Well said.

Why don't you ask the self-hating Aussies directly, then tell them to get the fuck out of it and leave it to the rest of us who don't go on forums and bang on about how shit we are...

All the best to you

Mate, you had a go at me, so I struck back. You started it.

I'm not the one going on internet forums and calling blokes' posts feminine. If you ever want to argue the merit of the content of my posts, feel free. I welcome it. But there's no need to call a bloke a sheila. That puts you in hospital over here.

Apart from that, I wish you the very best.

It's odd.

You seem to be confirming everything that Cody said about Aussies despite going on a massive emotional rant about said words.

In fact you almost seem like a caricature of an Aussie!

Either way, just calm down "mate".

Drama, personal attacks and overt sensitivity are not welcome on this forum.

Aussies have both a bad and good rep in Asia. Some of the worst examples of character among a certain 'budget airlines' subset, bastions of parochialism.

But if you run into Aussie business expats or journalists/diplomats in the region (Japan, China, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, etc) you will find some quality people who are more perceptive and grounded than most on how the region truly operates (politically, culturally) without any of the sugar coating that you may get from Asian nationals.

What's the deal with Aussies in Asia...?

Observations in this thread explain some awkward interactions that I never understood. At the time, I was in a university program in Indonesia where everyone but me was Aussie.

1) A girl I'd hit up on a previous trip flew in from another city and stayed at my house. College-age Australian guy asks "Is she a prostitute?" He clearly didn't mean it as an insult, genuinely assuming that that was the only possibility.

2) Same guy is sitting with me after class in a café. In walks an early-thirties woman. He comments to me how hot she is. Turns out that she (office worker, clearly has class) is there to meet me and sits at our booth. He gets visibly uncomfortable and leaves. Another completely incongruent situation to him to realize a white dude is screwing Asians without any financial transaction or shame.

3) Nobody, male or female, to my knowledge was banging locals. Compare this to the Americans I knew: the guys weren't getting any (smaller sample size, maybe just dorks and gays), but the girls were enjoying the attention, though pretending to complain, and one even got knocked up by a loser "cowboy" whose profession was walking along the beach strumming a guitar.

Do Aussie women also have a stigma about being with Asian men?

Mostly hipster girls date Asian men in Australia, mainstream not so much. It gives them "cred", particularly if he's cool Japanese or Burmese.

Note any half-Asian, half-white Aussie dudes will generally look pretty cool and can clean up with their Keanu Reeve look, hipster girl or not.

I think it maybe a similar situation why loads of Brits fly to European resorts like Magaluf and Kavos to mix with their own low-class ugly trashy British girls..

I don't imagine it's particularly expensive for Aussies to go to Thailand thesefore the "poor" people can easily go there

@Rutting Elephant good point - "Do Aussie women also have a stigma about being with Asian men?"

The Aussie girls I meet in London it feels this way for sure. But this will change over time, unfortunately it's a generational thing. Australia (govt) had a highly intolerant policy/views on Asians until the mid 90s. But as things loosen up the next generation should have less entrenched views.

What's the deal with Aussies in Asia...?

I've had conversations with quite a few Aussie women who straight out admit that they can not find an Asian man attractive, no matter how good looking they may be considered within their own culture. It might have something to do with them having a fetish for masculine, jacked, tatted up guys which usually doesn't fit the Asian stereotype. The majority of Australian women are to fickle to care what else they bring to the table eg. Intelligence, cultured

Frankly, this forum has improved my attitude towards Aussies. If it wasn't for this place and some of the successful and intelligent members bearing the Aussie flag, I would be declaring "all Aussies are shit and I categorically refuse to associate with them".

And the auto-banning of dipshits like yourself helps sustain this effect for me.

They are incredibly thirsty, en masse, in a way I have never experienced before. I watch with disbelief as well built, impressively built guys spit game at Wildebeast 4s at the gym. Yet they have no interest in the cute Thai girls that work in the hotels and restaurants etc.

I think the problem is that they lack confidence actually and all those "alpha tendencies" are just an act. That, coupled with social anxiety about being with Asian girls; they seem to be under the impression that every single last Thai girl is a hooker in disguise. Or at least that they will be shamed socially by being with Asian girls.

Maybe the stereotype of them being a bit dumb is true.

I guess the other thing to remember is that Aus isn't far from here...you'd probably think similar things about Brits in Magaluf or whatever...I get the feeling that a lot of the Aussies here are pretty low class and consequently IQ.

There is a stigma of inferiority associated with going for a Thai girl: Almost an unspoken rule that if you can't get an Australian girl you're a loser. Clearly Australian women have conjured this one up.

As and ex aussie living in Switzerland, there is a stigma attached to beîng seen with what they term an "import", it reads like, so you couldn't get a white girl so you got an import. Aussies are particularly racist and being seen with an asian or a dark girl is not a good thing. As an Aussie i'm a bit like that myself and prefer Ukrainians , Russians, Eastern Europeans and light Latinas over Asia girls and dark girls.

I have personally never been with an Asian girl - This probably highlights just how effective the national [feminist?] dogma has been. Especially when the country is teeming with them.

I've also seen the import line spread to anyone who doesn't speak fluent English [Not matter how 'caucasian' someone may appear].

I used to be a fan of Vice Magazine, before they went Brooklyn hipster. Even at the beginning, they still had fun travel programming.

I caught this one show a couple years back on the serious outback dating scene. Like most loaves that get pinched out of Vice's Brooklyn HQ it isn't going to win a Pulitzer for journalism, but damn, that had to be the saddest wet T-shirt contest ever. The entire 20mins I didn't see a single woman over a 6.

I do kinda want a pimped out Ute though, complete with roo bars.

If you're a corporation and your consumer base will buy subpar low quality goods at inflated prices then that corporation will continue to sell low quality goods because there's no incentive to provide better quality products. Demand is predictable and fixed.

They may change their marketing strategy every year but the low quality of the goods never changes.

Part of the reason why the anglosphere is in such dire straits is also (partially) due in part to enabling behavior. Never forget that.

The Aussies in Bali were douchebags. Apparently all the lower class bogans hit up Bali for vacation.

I remember one Aussie guy hating on me when I was with some Swedish chick at a 7/11 trying to pull her, telling me she was out of my league. I think I had Aussie guys AMOG me as well. Seems like they have a crab in the bucket mentality.

The Aussie girls were pretty meh, and weren't pleasant. I pretty much warmed up with them and got my social juices flowing, and then focused on the hotter European girls, as well as the few non-pro Indo girls I could find.

Obviously, I'm referring to the Aussie crowd in Bali. It would be like saying a redneck bar represents America.

Aussies in general (at least the white majority):
- 85% bogans
- 14% "middle class" (actually the upper class, usually privately educated) the millennials among them of course being SWPLs/hipsters
- 1% open-minded, smart people (pretty much the same proportion as in any country. A lot of them actually come from a bogan background, they're just smarter than average).

If your impression of Aussies is mainly of bogans, you probably know them only from the backpacker routes (Bali, Thailand) or Australia outside the biggest cities.

If your impression is that Aussies are mostly SWPLs, you need to get out of inner Melbourne/Sydney.

The bogans do travel overseas but stay on the beaten track. Back home, a bogan giveaway is the big Buddha head from Thailand sitting on display on the porch or in the home. Another thing on the bogan checklist is running with the bulls at Pamplona.

Dr Johnson rumbles with the RawGod. And lives to regret it.

Ah, but an American would understand how Aussies travel because culturally we are far closer to the US and Canada then we are to Other anglophone countries.

Young Australian male travellers fall strictly into two categories.

The bogan package tourist: goes to Kuta, Phuket, Las Vegas etc. starts drinking at 10 pursues drugs, gets so fucked ends up either passing out, fucking a fat bitch or a hooker

The backpacker; travels solo or with his girlfriend. Absolute beta, listens to triple J and thinks he is the shit because he believes in feminism. Hipsters or Uni students usually.

I think Americans follow very similar lines.

What a miraculously pathetic post! CodyB, I hate bogans as much you may, but don't make Aussies look silly by posting bullshit!! You're probably American or a POM anyway...

I have travelled extensively throughout the world in the last 8 years as a twenty-something Australian male (born in the bush, I might add).

I have never been drunk during the day, at all, whilst abroad. I don't like drinking unnecessarily because I have the most fun with women when I am sober and have my faculties at my disposal in full force, as well as seeing no reason why I would want to pay exorbitant prices for alcohol in a retail setting when I know I'm going to have a few drinks that night.

I never touch drugs.

I have never been to Phuket.

I aim for and sometimes get two 9s a week when I am abroad (a fact which has stirred significant jealousy on this site in the past making it perfectly obvious to me that this forum is full of guys who talk to hundreds of women in order to bang a few 7s and/or brag about having sex in places where the only reason you get attention is because the girls there are not good to look at, fulltime or part-time prostitutes and comparatively very, very poor e.g. Phillipines, Laos and Thailand).

I've never banged a hooker.

I've never banged a fat bitch.

I like to dress "up" during the day because I like to open good looking chicks going about their casual day, especially in the USA (home of the over-talking, annoyingly brash and obviously insecure, sounds-bisexual-with-his-twangy-American-accent white knight) where it is easy to bag 9s because while the blokes over there can't shut up, you can come across as the easy-go-lucky tourist who is confident enough to escalate and close pretty quickly.

So, please tell me, which strict (your words) category do I fall in?

I know he is banned and shit but it's worth highlighting that people who gravitate towards this forum are generally the exception.

People who use this website kind of move away from their cultural norms and this is what one pamplonabull has in fact done. God knows why he took it so personally?
