Put a pinch of boric acid powder in your shoes regularly until the smell is gone - it works great to kill odors. Also works great for jock itch.
Also, I recently got a "PEET Dryer" from amazon that I hang my boots on every night, it gently drys them overnight which helps remove moisture from wearing them 16 hours a day. Wish I knew about this ages ago.

I believe Arm & Hammer makes a baking powder/foot powder spray. Sprays on, no mess, dries instantly. Might want to try that out

Baby powder is a staple and has always worked for me. Shoes with a full leather lining are good too.
Even though I don't have smelly feet, my Chuck Taylors tend to smell worse than my 100% leather interior sneakers. It's just a consequence of how the material absorbs the sweat and facilitates bacterial proliferation.

*Second the pedicure advice!
I get smelly feet too. (I sweat really bad, especially at my work environment.) Has been a long time since I had one, but the pedicure does work. My feet get really bad calluses on the heels and dead skin, under my toes.
Having all of that crap scraped away really made my feet stop smelling for awhile.
I wash my feet and my tennis shoes. But just washing doesn't help.

Buy charcoal insoles for your shoes. They're only $1 and they should be with the other personal healthcare products. They're a good deal considering they'll last 6 months if not longer. You can also buy a container of baby powder which is also cheap. Put an amount that is slightly larger then a quarter in each shoe and shake it to distribute it. Obviously practice good hygiene as well which it sounds like you're doing.

OP here, my smelly feet problem has gone way down these last 2 years - thanks to the forum advice!
Things that helped me:
- Make sure toe nails are trimmed. I realized how much of the smell come off stuff under the nails.
- Use high quality socks. Still havent got wollen socks, but 95% cotton socks from Tommy Hilfinger helped a lot.
- Get feet bath. I make a feet bath solution using these simple ingredients: tea leaves, orange and lemon skins, salt. Mix all in a small basin of hot water, soak your feet in scrub clean between each toe. Helped a lot with blood circulation too and feet smell awesome after.
- Never wear the same pair of shoes 2 days in a row

What these guys said. Get a small plastic tub and make a foot soak. Personally I'm fond of using borax but if you have something athlete's foot level bad you might want to go all the way up to using a capful of bleach.

Foottub + Hot Water + a few splashes of Apple Cider Vinegar worked wonders for me - Kills the fungal bacteria (acid rebalances v alkaline). 15-20mins
After just drying, worked a baking soda paste and smear liberally on feet and under toenails, again 15-20mins.
Wash off - repeat for a week.
This cleared up a long standing issue within a week.
Maybe do this once a week after to maintain.
Its crazy how cheap and effective this is, which is why pharmacies don't recommend it!

I used Hibiclens (Chlorhexidine) 2-3 times on the bottom of my feet and between the toes and it did work in the short term, but it's definitely not a realistic solution. I'm going to buy the charcoal insoles and do the foot bath. I have a somewhat dumb question about washing with water only. For those that said to wash feet with water only and no soap, would this same theory apply to other mostly hairless parts of your body?

Reinforcing the quality socks/shoes advice. Not only will it help ameliorate your immdiate odor concern, its a basic quality of life upgrade.
We spend so much of our lives on our feet; cheap footware will negatively impact every moment of standing/walking in your life. Never go cheap on your feet or your haircut.

Been adding 2 tb of baking soda into my usual footbath and holy shit, not only does all the smell go away but all the dead skin comes off so easily.
Baking soda is slowly becoming the cure-all to all hygene problems.

Been in hot sticky Florida for two years now, I've been doing 2 things:
1) Lysol disinfectant spray. Ever been to a bowling alley? There's a reason they spray it inside the shoes immediately when you give them back. Prevents bacteria/fungus from growing. If they're running shoes and soaked, spray then take out the sole and spray again.
I do this with leather shoes, but honestly the Sperry's are my only ones I wear day to day and it hasn't harmed them noticeablely 6+ months later.
2) Antifungal cream. Any sign of black growth on the toenails, ring worm on the feet, or red bumps. Be proactive and apply before it becomes a problem, and apply for two days after it's all healed up, just like antibiotics.

Baking soda works for this problem. Put it between your toes.

Try taking your shoes, filling them with baking soda to soak up the stench for a night (or week) and vacuum them out afterword. Helps keep your shoes smelling better. I view it as my feet are a lost cause, clean them as much as I can through daily showers but keep maintenance on my footwear.
