I was having a picnic with the family under a big tree and a branch fell on us. I put my hand up right as it was about to knock my 4 month baby on the head. Its like I saw it through my upper eyelids and skull. Definitely a surreal feeling as no amount of prep could re produce the save.

I hear that. Had something similar happen with a tree branch as well. My oldest watched the whole thing unfold and called me Superman for about a week after that.

While most of those potential injuries look like they would have resulted in a few bruises or a broken bone, the clip that always gets me a little choked up is the one where the dad saves the kid from connecting with the grill.. the sacrifice those poor steaks made..

All jokes aside, that kid could have been fucked up for life by taking a face full of 500 degree metal.

The French are known for that. I happened to be in Yellowstone Park over 20 years ago when a French tourist was having his picture taken with a full sized bison asleep on the ground. He didn't like the photo with the bison on the ground so he kicked it a few times to wake it up. It woke up and as he turned around for the next picture - the bison hooked a horn into the Frenchmen's back and flipped him 20 feet or so.

They took him to a hospital in Cody and it took him 6 days to die.
