Doing a 3 months europe trip this summer. What is a good carrier that can be used all across europe? Or, how can i get good calls, sms and coverage without carrying 10 sims with me? Thanks.

I use T-Mobile...20c a minute for calls,free 2G data and texts pretty much anywhere in Europe. Good luck

Is this the roaming plan?

Any better data options like 4G/LTE? 2G is a bit too 2006..

Ick don't even bother with international roaming. Get an unlocked GSM phone and do pay as you go. Make sure to disable email sync and any type of data pull unless you don't care about your prepaid SIM getting cleaned out.
