"Every Brother Ain't A Brother" by Gary Byrd

It's kind of simple in a broader context. Just because a guy is wearing the same "jersey" as you and he's in your huddle it doesn't mean he's on your team (American Football reference). Your brothers are men that would fight, or sacrifice, or risk all and die for you. That's what I miss about the military. The Brotherhood. We may not always like each other, but we all know we need each other to stay alive. When you know and understand your long term survival is predicated on other men you learn what a brother is. If you're lucky you'll meet some other guys outside of dangerous jobs that feel the same way.
