The documentary "I want to look like that guy"

Anyone seen this one?

A 42 year old nerdy slob with 27% bodyfat and no exercise experience does a one year experiment. I won't give anything away but the results are quite shocking.

The docu is from 2008 so clothes and stuff are very dated. Although the guy is a video producer himself, the doc should have been edited a bit faster but hey, it's what it shown what counts.

Recommended!

OP I'm curious as to your exact thoughts on the video. It seems it's been taken down now but I briefly looked at a few segments of it when it was up and from the looks of it you may have been bamboozled by more of the fitness industry's lies. My Face When in the first minutes they introduced that pro bodybuilder who had achieved his physique "completely naturally, without the help of drugs":

Wow, they took the youtube vid down just days after I posted it? It had been there for years. You can torrent the docu though. That's how I watched it.

Yeah, his trainer is probably not natural but I didn't care about that much. It was the journey of the docu maker what counts. As said, it's not a greatly edited or entertaining docu but it does show what it takes to be bodybuilding model. And that it is attainable for literally everyone (with the right amount of willpower)

Missing the third part. Does anyone have a torrent link?

I watched the first third and last third. Not bad. I think it showed the truth of how getting ripped for "aesthetics" is not actually healthy. Danger and Play also had a podcast on maintaining/getting a "four pack" which is a more realistic/healthy goal for many. Especially the older you are.

Also skeptical about that trainer being natty...

If only you knew how bad things really are.

His abs disappeared just a few days he finished second at the competition?

Very enjoyable documentary. Thanks for posting.

The documentary "I want to look like that guy"

I watched it the other night when the video was still up.

It's nothing fancy, but it's the best I've seen that actually shows what it takes to get a body like that.

Rather enjoyable and motivating I thought. Seemed like a pretty cool guy.

Wonder what he looks like now? Hopefully he managed to keep it up.

That was a great doc, it does give me motivation to work harder/smarter. Luckily, at 58, I can still wear 33/34 waist with a 42L coat so I don't have too far to go. Arthritis sucks, old sports injuries begin to tell on you again, so you young guys be careful out there and take care of the cartilage. My shoulder sounds like popcorn popping through its range of motion.....
